quality of staff was excellent. i had no problems, questions or any negatives for the stay so i enjoyed everything.

beside the internet connection (that wasn't working at all) everything was very nice and clean

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was obviously an older building (with a very slow elevator), but the rooms had been fixed up and were kept in good condition. It was a nice breakfast that they offered and the employees were all friendly. The only comment I have is that the housekeeping seemed to start very early - they were usually cleaning the rooms around me by 9 AM. If you want to sleep in, definitely put out the do not disturb sign. They did seem to do another round later in the day.

Good price and location. Very close to the Japanese stores and such that are not common in Northern California. 2 king beds really means 2 king beds and they are huge. Room is not the most up to date but for the price I wouldn't expect it to be. Great service, the guy who checked me in actually read my request when I booked online to get a top floor room.

It was restful...just what I needed. And convenient to commercial stores that interested me.

I was here two weeks ago, and the room you stay in makes all the difference! I checked in early this time and was given a room right next to the elevator - noisy! It was also the room modified for those with physical challenges, so although it was super roomy, the bed was saggy and there was a slight smell to the room. I will definitely stay here again, as it served my purpose (sleep) and was very reasonable.

Overall Very Good, No Real Complaints.

I was in Torrance to attend a Kings game that night in L.A. My only two minor negatives about my stay were a: The front desk clerk at noon was not at ALL compliant or helpful in my desire to check in before 3pm. He merely pointed to the sign and said "3:00 pm". I don't expect to get what I want at all times, but he didn't even look in the computer to check on the hotel's status. Now, Sarah, who came on afterwards, was AWESOME. She helped me with everything I needed, including a coffee pot that I couldn't get to work. b: the bed was a little flimsy, but if I slept right in the middle it was very comfy.

Need ESPN.

The breakfast room could have been cleaner and the "continental" Breakfast was ok. I've had better but I keep thinking for the price we paid I really can't complain.

Room smelled, bathroom had mold, cracked/broken tub, leaking sink, holes patched but not finished. Awful breakfast food. Would not ever recommend this place. Located near a mall. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Not worth the price.

I got very sick while staying. Staff was great helping me find a doctor.

Friendly staff and just a nice little hotel. Farthest room doesn't get great wifi, so if you need it you may need to be closer to the center.

GOOD HOTEL, CLEAN, I REALLY LIKE THIS HOTEL

Was very nice , roomy , quiet, comfy bed, and all the amenities u need, plus continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again

Very nice accommodations and fairly quiet for being on a busy street. I just wish you were pet friendly as I don't feel safe traveling without my dog.

The hotel in nicely situated close to freeway 405. There are a lot of parking spaces and the hotel staff are friendly and professional and nicely dressed too. The hotel rooms are of a good size and very clean. The fridge inside the room is a good size and the bed is very comfortable and linens are clean. There are also enough pillows in the bed and even the cover sheet looks and feels clean. The hairdryer is new and clean and the bathroom is clean as well. The only 2 things maybe that could be improved would be the water pressure and if they can put at least 2 sets of soap and shampoo in the room. Overall though, it was really a very pleasant stay.

For the price I wasn't expecting the hotel to be as good as it was. The room was clean. It's in a perfect location close to great restaurants and grocery store. We just needed a place to sleep, so I was pleasantly surprised when there was a fridge and microwave! If you're wanting something inexpensive and clean I would stay here!

Wi-fi never worked. Excuses for not working were ridiculous. Like the guy who fixes it has been on vacation since X-mas. Really? Get someone else to fix it. Rooms need to be remodeled/updated.

Checked in at 10 pm 12/26/2012. Heater did not work .Called desk and the gentleman from the desk came up to try and fix it. He couldn't fix it and told us that maintenance man will be in the next day .We went out the next day and returned late. Heater was not fixed . Called the front desk and the problem was not logged in . Heater was fixed on the last day of our stay . Also "free wi-Fi " did not work . Will not stay at this Brand of hotel or its affiliates .

No ESPN. Very limited selection. AC/Heater was an eyesore.

On arrival my room had a bad smoke smell dispite being a non-smoking hotel. I was relocated to a different room with a much better smell. Through the five days I was there I used my 3g internet connection due to an wifi outtage on day 1, i was told, however, they had technicians on the way. Day 2, they didn't know there was a wifi outage and were going to call someone. Day 3, the wifi was still out and the front desk said the person before them did not give them a passdown about the wifi. Long story short, at the end of my stay, there was still no wifi. If you come here, don't expect it to work. Finally, the only other thing I was mildly annoyed with were the legs of the rolling cusion in the room that kept falling off leaving it lopsided all the time. Aside from this, I was not bothered and everything else was fine.

Reasonable place to stay for the price. The room comes with a fridge and coffee maker, no other amenities are provided. The outside is an ugly design and the parking spaces seen narrow. No pool or outside amenities so it is pretty basic.

The hotel was nicely maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Everything was great but the only that was disappointing was the check in time. At first we called it if we were able to check in early which was around 11am and they said no but told us that we could come earlier before the check in time at 2pm. our group got there at 3pm which was the original check in time but still the room wasn't ready yet...we had to kill some time and wasn't able to check in until a little after 4pm...

One night there was a party down the way, another there was a belligerent person screaming in the parking lot with multiple car alarms going off. They need someone to watch over the place at night.

We loved staying here, was only supposed to be here for 2 nights but stayed 5. The room was really nice and spacious, included t.v, fridge, hairdryer, iron, toiletries, tea and great coffee, cleaned everyday. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of cereals, fruit, pastries, bagles, bread juices and waffles and avaiable for 3 hours so you didn't need to rush if you were having a lazy day but available early enough if you were planning a full day out. Staff are friendly. Torrance is a really nice area, supermarket, resturants and some shops right outside the hotel, beach is close by. If you want to explore L.A. It's super easy even without a car, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel with a bus that takes you all the way to downtown L.A and then you are free to go anywhere round the city. You can do the same on a different bus to Santa Monica and the airport. We had a car to go to Disney which only took 45 mins

I paid a very low price and had low expectations (especially with some of the negative reviews), but this HoJo was great! It was as good as any similar interstate chain place, but close to LAX. Incredible value. Good free breakfast also. Room had fridge (don't remember about microwave). It was serious luxury compared to some of the slightly cheaper places I'd been staying in the LA area over the past 10 days.

Very nice.Has would stay again.Didnt know about the $50 deposit though.

Fair value for the price. Nothing out the ordinary. Acceptable quality of the hotel, room, etc. Amenities could be nicer (breakfast, towels, etc). Service was good.
