Great stay- not a single problem.

Hotel is beautiful. location is perfect. Close to shopping and Bart.

Friendly, helpful staff and very comfortable room.

Rooms are spacious and clean. But everything feels poorly laid out and a bit dated. For the price I definitely expected something a little more modern (granted, rates were inflated due to Google I/O happening next door.) Also, the food is hilariously overpriced. And I actually make a habit of overpaying for fantastic food in general. But this is gourmet pricing for average food. A basic breakfast (eggs, toast, bacon) is going to run you at least double - maybe triple - what a nice breakfast restaurant would. Not room service - in the actual restaurant. Following that trend, there is a Starbucks in the lobby - which sells everything for over double what the two Starbucks directly across the street are charging. Comical. While I didn't have any specifically horrible experiences, I won't be coming back.

The hotel was lovely. Enjoyed the View lounge on 39th floor. Could have looked out at that incredible view all night. The only disappointment was the room. Didn't mind that it was a bit small as much as it faced the street and you could hear all the traffic - pedestrian and auto even on the 12th floor. Glad I brought earplugs or would not have been able to sleep.

The location is really convenient (5 minutes walking distance to union square). Hotel is famous for its sky lounge and overall quality is 4+ out of 5 BUT parking is always expensive as it is in SF downtown and WiFi is charged in the room. Other than those two aspects, I'd stay here anytime I need to go to SF.

It was nice and the people are friendly. The two things I would say would be my only complaints are the price of parking when your a guest at the hotel and paying good money to stay and our TV was broken in the room and they couldnt fix it. Overall though the rooms were nice and very clean and the staff were really nice.

Hotel was great - Hotel clean, convenient, good customer service, Food at restaurant in lobby Bin 55 was very good and The View was awesome :-) Only one thing that was not great was the doorman out front - in our 4 night stay did not great us once! Not sure if he is a Marriott Employee but definitely did not act like the rest of the people who worked for Marriott at the hotel because they were all awesome and friendly! LOL

We went to df for my sisters bachlorette party and wanted to stay somewhere in union square to be close to thee shopping and night life. From the second we pulled into Marriott Marquis, I couldn't believe the customer service. Valet walked up right away to grab my keys and all our bags. We got there 2 hours before check in but they called upstairs and had our room cleaned early so we could check in. We were within walking distance to all the shopping and the club we went to "Infusion" was a blast and again was walking distance from our hotel. My sister and friends had a blast for the bachlorette and I can't wait to go back!!! Yes, it is a little pricey and parking for 1 nite is $62.00. But I feel it was worth it with the AMAZING customer service and the beautiful room!!!! The view bar upstairs was also beautiful but drink prices are a little crazy. My advice is go up to check out the view and take oictures but buy drinks elsewhere. Other than that, great experience. We will be back :D

Initially I was pleased. But my co-worker was standing at the doors of the hotel at around 8am with the valet present and was harassed and SPIT upon by a vagrant. She was the second person this individual accosted within 5 minutes and the valet did nothing to remove the man from the area and watched as hotel guests were abused. I recognize the the hotel can not control the homeless man's behavior, but they should have been pro-active about keeping him off of the premises in the first place.

Very good.Indeed, the mattresses on the beds were nice and firm (unlike typical hotels) and no back aches.Service excellent.Corridors and rooms a little dated to the eye but clean and well maintained. Complimentary breakfast was a little simple. Within a few minutes walk of all the big shops and Union Square.

I love the hotel, very clean, the beds very comfortable and the attendants very polite, friendly and helpful. I will comeback!!!

We had a very nice stay. We walked to the Giants game, and it only took like 15 min. The hotel was very nice, and all the staff were very helpful and courteous. My only real complaint was the parking cost $60 a night, they wanted $15 for wireless internet, and the $13 vodka cran I got in the lobby bar was one of the worst drink I've ever been served. Other than that, it was great and I will definitely return!

The Marriott Marquis is an elegant, modern, very busy hotel in the very center of San Francisco. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff is excellent overall. We were shocked to learn that a daily connection to the internet is not free in the rooms, as most hotels, big or small, do nowadays. The Marriott charges $15.00 a day for internet, that is really not attractive, especially when you know the price of the rooms.

We enjoyed everything about our stay except for the daily parking fee to keep our car in the hotel garage. This fee was not mentioned on the hotel website and should be as it added an additobnal $200 to our over-all stay. Had we been made aware of this fee in advance we would have looked @ other hotel options and will do so in the future.

I've always enjoyed staying at the marquis when I visit San Fran. Excellent location, access to shops and transit. I was also able to use my Elite status and enjoy the conceirge club and spa/fitness center. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Centrally located in the heart of SF, walking distance to just about everything and a staff that was so genuinely friendly it was almost surreal. The rooms are average and somewhat generic, but clean. Our only complaint was $15.95 a day for wi-fi...when you could exit the hotel and get it free just about anywhere...I think even the homeless people had free wi-fi.

Went to the City to do some shopping and could not have found a better location for a hotel. You walk out the front of the hotel and simply look down the alley across the street to the "secret entrance" to Westfield Mall through the side entrance of Bloomingdales. We were literally out of the hotel and into Westfield in just a minute of walking. And Union Square was only 2 blocks away. We caught the light at Market and was in Macy's in less than 4 minutes of walking. Also, just walk out the back of the hotel to get to Yerba Buena Lane, with restaurants, Beard Papa's, Metreon, Yerba Buena Gardens, the Jewish museum, etc. Love this hotel!

Most comfortable night I've spent in San Francisco. We had a great view and the room was comfortable and quiet. It was close to many attractions as well.

Me and my son stayed for two nights for a quick site seeing trip. The front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly. Our room was really large (especially for San Francisco) but also very dated and in need of a refresh. The desk and side chairs were stained and the rest of the room needed to be updated. The flat panel TV in the room was too small for the size of the room. The two queen beds were comfortable and clean. Front desk staff was great but when we visited the lobby and top floor lounges they only had one server working the floor, they did inidicate that they were the only ones working and that it would be best to order at the bar rather then waiting for service. It would be good if the hotel adds some staff as both lounges were very busy and i'm sure there is someone who wouldn't mind making the tip money. The hotel is near the Powell Cable Car turn around, Market street trolly cars, Bart station, shopping, convention center and baseball park so it is in a great location. For quick trips were you won't be in the room much but want a good location and comfortable bed this is a good hotel (if the price is right). If you want a more up to date room (or they are charging a premium) I would go some where else.

outstanding customer service, very convenient location

Quiet, pleasant hotel. The 39th floor bar with a great view is also a plus. Not easy to get a cab from here on Fridays and Saturdays.

This was by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. They are incredibly accommodating and efficient. I had to give a presentation in one of the conference rooms and they were already set up and ready to go by the time I got there and had a representative check in and make sure everything was meeting my expectations. There are so many nice things that I can say about this hotel and it will take too long to type here so instead, I will be drafting and email to their general manager to thank them.

Great location near shopping and the arts. The valet and concierge were excellent. Very clean and attractive rooms.

Good; however, the pillows were smaller than expected and uncomfortable

Gracious greeting and check-in. Free upgrade to semi-suite larger room. Fantastic food at the Grille. Beautiful night skyline vista at the View lounge on the 39th floor. Great fitness center, large indoor pool with plenty of sunlight and spa services. What's not to like? Would stay there again.

Very good room condition and superb location in San Francisco. Walking distance to Powel Station and Union Square and lots of restaurants and shopping malls around in very close proximity. Hotel services were good. Hotel had a view lounge on 39th floor from where we get a 360 degree view of SF skyline at night. Highly recommended for everyone.

WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO AT&T Baseball Stadium, the Caltrain, and many great restaurants. Starbuck's in the hotel lobby and a concierge as well. Good size rooms and very clean. Highly recommend staying there. Good price also.

Great hotell in an excellent location- blocks from Union Square and a great shopping mall. The staff was especially helpful, and my room(2747) was beautiful, clean, and they said it was just renovated in the last 6 months. Very comfortable bed, and a great city view. Rinaldo, the Concierge, was especially helpful with selecting a nice restaurant for my friends and I.

Great Hotel. Close to everything. Customer service was excellent. Will only stay at this hotel on our next visit..

This is my third time at this hotel. I choose it due to great location, comfort and friendly staff. Hotel located near BART, Cable Car and huge Westfield Mall.

Please be warned: This does not earn you welcome rewards, something I failed to see on the fine print.

Good location, great room and I will definitely return.

This is a hotel that is about to be sleazy. It is not what it once was. Some rooms are renovated, some are not. I was at first given an old room and transferred to a renovated room. Both rooms had threadbare towels. The elevator sounded like a freight train going through the room. The service area opposite the room became noisy at 5am everyday. There is the smell of cooking meat at 7am every day. Late check out is one PM, even though I am an Elite member. They wanted $100 for a three PM check out. The internet costs $14.95 for one day. Breakfast is $25. The sheets are a dingy grey color.

Great stay

The hotel is very good, the breakfast a little bit too much for the quality but they tried to charge me for receiving packages $10 usd each!
