Hotel Regina - וינה

במלון הזה יש בר ארוחת בוקר נחמד מאד, והוא ממוקם קרוב למחוז האוניברסיטה של ויינה, בשכנות ל- Votiv Church, קרוב לביתו של פרויד. החדרים נעים בין קטנים למדי לסוויטות. קיבלנו חדר לשלושה אנשים, עם חדר מקלחת נחמד, ושני חדרים עם תקרות גבוהות. שמחתי לגלות שאנחנו במרחק הליכה קלה מקתדרלת St. Stephen's, ומתחנת תחבורה ציבורית.

מעולם לא שהיתי במלון עם שירות כל-כך גרוע. היינו שלושה אורחים, ושיבצו אותנו בחדר יחיד קטן. אחר-כך נתנו לנו חדר קצת גדול יותר, אבל אז גילינו שזה חדר למעשנים, ושהחלון בחדר משקיף על המטבח של המלון ועל מתקני החימום. זה הקשה עלינו מאד לנשום. ביקשנו חדר טוב יותר, אבל לא היה חדר כזה זמין, אז עזבנו. אני תוהה איך המלון הזה שומר על דירוג 4 כוכבים!

אירוח מצוין. צוות אדיב. ממוקם באופן אסטרטגי בקרבת מקום ל- Altes AKH. המלון ידוע למרבית תושבי ויינה, מכיוון שהוא אחד הוותיקים באזור. בזכות האתר 'hotel.com', עלות המלון התאימה לתקציב שלי. מאד נהניתי מהשהות שלי כאן.

זהו מלון נפלא בסגנון ישן, ממוקם בסביבה נהדרת. האווירה והאירוח טובים. באולם ארוחת הבוקר יש נוף נחמד, שאפשר לראות בזמן שנהנים מהמטעמים. היה תענוג לשהות במלון הזה.

ימיו הטובים של המלון הזה כבר מאחוריו. למרות שהמבנה נחמד ומעט ישן, הרהיטים קצת רעועים. יחד עם זאת, הצוות די מועיל, ואפילו הסכימו להחליף לי חדר אחרי שהתלוננתי שהחדר שלי קטן מדי עבור שני אנשים. הקומות של המעשנים קצת מכבידות, כך שאם אתם לא אוהבים עשן סיגריות, התרחקו מהאזורים האלה. ארוחת הבוקר טובה למדי, עם כמה מנות חמות וכך גם הלחם, הגבינות והיוגורט הסטנדרטיים. בסך הכל, המלון היה נקי ונוח, אבל יותר ברמה של 3 כוכבים מאשר 4 כוכבים.

ללא ספק אשוב לשהות במלון הזה. האם זה מלון מודרני? לא, אבל מי רוצה מודרני כשהוא יכול לשהות במלון אופי ועם זאת נוחות מודרנית. (כגון אינטרנט אלחוטי, טלביזיה ומקרר בחדר שלך). נראה שהחדר עבר שיפוץ לאחרונה ויש בו רהיטים שהולמים את התקופה ומתאימים יפה לאווירה הכללית של המלון. החדרים קצת קטנים, אבל מי צריך חדר גדול כשהוא מבלה את רוב היום והלילה בביקור באתרי העיר. החדר והאמבטיה היו מאד נקיים ומתוחזקים. בופה ארוחת הבוקר היה נפלא, בופה שופע של אוכל חם וקר. המיקום באמת רק 5 דקות הליכה מתחנת המטרו, אולי אפילו רק 2. זו לא הגזמה. זה ממש מרחק הליכה מהמרכז של תוך העיר. זה ממש על הטבעת לצד ה Votiv Church היפה ביותר אשר נראה לי שהיא המועדפת עליי בוינה. הרשו לנו גם לעשות קבלה מוקדמת מאחר ואחד החדרים שהזמנו היה מוכן. הצוות היה מאד מועיל ונחמד. מתכננים לשוב לוינה באביב ובהחלט נבוא לבדוק אם ב Hotel Regina יש חדרים פנויים.

מיקום נהדר, ניקיון קפדני כאופייני לגרמנים. הטלוויזיה בחדר הייתה קצת קטנה, אבל היה מגוון רחב של ערוצים. ארוחת הבוקר כלולה במחיר, מגוון מדהים של מאפים אוסטריים, לחמים, פרושוטו, ביצים ובשרים של ארוחת בוקר. המלון קצת ישן, אבל למי אכפת. הוא נקי, נחמד מאד וממוקם באופן אידאלי באזור ה-downtown של ויינה, במרחק הליכה מציוני דרך היסטוריים כמו ה- Imperial palace, מול הקתדרלה. שהיתי כאן שלושה לילות. אין חרטות. אשהה כאן שוב! טוני (ינואר 2012).

My stay at the Hotel Rgina was exxcellent. I arrived at 10:45 p.m. from the airport and the dining room kitchen closed at 11:00 p.m. The front desk man on duty checked my in quiclky and personnaly took my luggage up to my room so I could order dinner in the dining room before the kitchen closed. The room was exceptionally clean. The dining room features Austrian food and it is alwasy nice to try the native cuisine. The breakfast buffet included in the price of the room was excellent. I had dinner in the hotel dining roomo two nights and two other nights I ate at restaurants in sister hotels, one a fish restaurant on the tenth floor overlooking Vienna and one an Italian restaruant on the ground floor. Hotel Reginia is very convenient to everything in Vienna and the staff are always very helpful. I had a double room for single occumpancy which was very reasonably priced and the meals in the dinng room were also very reaslonalby pirced and attractively presented.This is the fifth time I have stayed at Hotel Regina and will stay there again on my next trip to Vienna.

The hotel has a great location. Like many European hotels, rooms are cramped and expensive. The pictured 'grand rooms' with pianos, etc are misleading because only one-two rooms are like that in that category and most of them actually look poor. Carpets are threadbare, so is upholstery. Let's not confuse 'antiques' with trash. We heard several people complaining at the reception. So did we. Matresses were subpar. Breakfast is nice, so is its location. The restaurant is nonexistent.

a very convenient location, 10 mins walk to main items of interest, very friendly staff, great breakfast, room was large, very comfortable, with old style furniture so not like a typical hotel bedroom, would definitely stay here again

The Regina is located right in the heart of Vienna, next to the impressive Votivkirche and only a short walk away from downtown shops, sights, entertainment etc. Various types of transport (tram, subway) are also right outside the door, making this a well connected stay. I usually don't bother with breakfast in hotels, but the breakfast buffet swanky, and caters to all tastes - that's still a rare occurrence in many hotels.

I've been to this hotel before - on mistake last time. This time was on purpose. It is perfectly located in the middle of the town and close to public transportation to take yo anywhere. However, downtown is in a walking distance, so you won't need much. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Furthermore breakfast (with fabulous marmelade) and WLAN is included - perfect bargain! This cosy hotel is old thus there will be other hotels with more comfort, BUT without charme - I'll go there again!

I've stayed several times in Hotel Regina and will continue to do so. It is located very near to the Schottentor underground station, which is very convenient. The hotel itself has a really nice old world feel, while the rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly.

Hotel was older but charming. Rooms were small but very clean. Bed was quite firm with comfortable pillows. Breakfast (included) was very good and we made sure to get our fill before our days of sightseeing. Hotel is very conveniently located to the metro and is also close to some great sights like Votive Church and Rathaus. Overall, highly recommended.

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel Regina. Staff was very helpful, breakfast was delicious with hot and cold variety, location was close to trains and trolleys but not swarms of people and noise.

My only comment on the slightly negative side is that the bed mattresses are a little bit hard; however, I slept superbly.

I was verty pleased with the entire experiance. The breakfast was great and I enjoyrd a meal in The Roth Cafe. The staff couldn't have been more accomadating. I look forward to staying with you on my next trip

Wonderful hotel and staff. Good location and the breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again when traveling to Vienna.

The bellman Josef was fantastic. He helped me in many ways: to change my room that I did not really like to one I did & at no additional cost. He also was helpful in giving me directions on where to go to get a gift. Josef was very friendly & always spoke to me when he saw me, asked how things were, what he could do to help & made me feel very much at home. He is a keeper forever!! My room was very clean, comfortable bed & good bathroom. The only thing that I can say was not up to par was the TV. It was small. Also charging for in town calls for time is not great. Thank you for an overall nice stay.

I got a very large corner room, bright and comfortable, nice city views with two sides of large windows, extremely responsive and friendly staff. and there is too much to love Vienna, the stunning architecture, rich history, music, arts, food, gourmet coffee, beautiful scenaries, modest prices, friendly people... Only complaints are two minor ones, the big bed was two twin mattresses put together, understand this is European thing, but wish they had a big mattress pad to cover over the two mattresses so there isn't a gap in the middle of the bed that could become bigger if you move too much when sleeping. Second complaint is I was on the first floor, traffic noise is a little loud in the early morning when you may still be sleeping although that would not be a problem if you are not having your jet lag sleeps. Oh, one additional thing, one staff seemed to be somewhat ignorant and I think gave me the wrong info when he told me NaschMarket closed at 5. The food market really closes much later 9 or 11 at night. That made me miss out on the days I could have enjoyed food there rather than dining at the hotel, which is not great. Still that particular staff was very nice I think it was an honest mistake.

The amenities are minimal. They are replacing the soap and body wash every other day. The hotel is old and could use a renovation.

The service was great, helpful staff, yummy breakfast, interesting history and close to The Ring.

Overall I'd rate the experience a 3.5; slightly above average. Hotel is in a great location. The room condition was fine, nothing special but clean and utilitarian. Service was always helpful. Only minor issue was the AC would cut out from time to time.

WE ARRIVED ON THE WARMEST DAY IN AUGUST AND WERE ASSIGNED A ROOM WITHOUT AC. WHEN WE ASKED IF WE COULD SWITCH TO A ROOM WITH AC THE STAFF DID THIS QUICKLY. ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD IS WE MOVED SO QUICKLY FROM ONE ROOM TO ANOTHER WE LOST A PERSONAL ITEM THE HOTEL COULD NOT RECOVER.

The Hotel Regina is a beautiful, historic hotel. The location is perfect, right on the inner ring of Vienna.

What an amazing hotel, great location and the room was perfect size. The breakfast was delicious and for the price that we paid it was worth it. I will come back to this hotel next vacation to Vienna. =)

Our only problem was getting the air conditioned room we had asked for from Hotels.com. Not all rooms have A/C and it took a bit of toe to toe negotiation to get the room with A/C. One day our room was missed for maid service. Very good breakfast.

as the temperature was 30+, the air conditioning should work better..

It was a great location with excellent helpful staff. The food was good. I would go back

Lovely hotel in an historic building. Close to the city, parks and sights. Close to public transport but also walking distance to main city sights. Excellent service - very friendly and happy to offer advice and extra help (eg. bag storage, somewhere to have a shower before a late night flight out, help with IT problems, public transport, and tips on the best concerts etc). Comprehensive breakfast in a nice restaurant/courtyard space. If staying in summer, try to secure a room with air-conditioning. Like many old buildings in Vienna, air-conditioned spaces are quite a rarity! Overall, very satisfied!!

Room a little cramped. The hotel's AC system could not adequately cope with the abnormally hot days in Vienna this July.

My experience during a week's stay at the Regina was very positive. Service was excellent and very personable (e.g. the front-desk personnel make an extra effort to remember you when you come back for your key); the location is extremely convenient both to the central sights of Vienna (the small distance makes it more peaceful) and to transit; and the hotel itself, while as some have noted it is not quite at its historical height, is still elegant and full of character (note for summer visitors: no AC). Breakfast is terrific. All in all an extremely good bargain.

Location was good near the Metro and sites. However, the small room came with a slanted ceiling over the bed and a small bathroom. It was located at the back with the window opening to exhaust stacks, no view. One strange item I found were gas masks in the closet. The service needs to smile more. Good hotel if you do not plan to be in the room long.

Our room was a bit small but we were offered a bigger room on request.The pillows were very soft and extra ones did not help.the bathroom lacked spare toilet rolls and tissues.TV was old. Our room was clean and the staff that we had any contact with were helpful. Breakfast was quite a good buffet but coffee left on the table was cold it should be served fresh although it was replaced when requested. The Regina needs some TLC. We found the tariff we paid was a bit high for the level of amenities at the Regina.We stayed at the Regina 21 years ago and not a lot seems to have changed.

Great location Good hospitality Cooperative and courteous staff

Good hotel, and a good price. breakfast was not so good. Stayed only for one night - so not much more I can say - only that its oki according to the price rate

We were there for about 7 hours total and loved the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect and the restuarant was delious.

The Hotel is placed vis-vis Votivkirche, I had a room with view to the church and the square, just wonderfull. But the rooms need to be renovated (old furnitures, no desk, small rooms), and every day there was a loud ventilator-sound frem the bathroom. The staff said it couldn't be turned off, and it was running frem 07.30 - 21.00. Staff not very friendly, but not unfriendly either - just 'correct'. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant has nice view to the square.

The hotel is of the older variety but quite comfortable. The rooms are nice and kept pretty clean. The breakfast is outstanding and of high quality. We especially liked the convenience within the first district---we walked everywhere---shopping, museums, even the Belvedere complex (a hefty walk). The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall we were very satisfied with the value.

The Regina Hotel has seen better days. Although the room was clean and the staff were very kind and helpful, the place is in dire need of redecoration. The lobby and hallways were very dated with old, old, old carpeting and furniture (and not in a classic way). The regular double room was relatively spacious in that it had a separate seating area, but the sofa was from the 50's it would seem and there wasn't a whole lot of room to walk around. The breakfast was great, though, and the restaurant where breakfast was held had lovely high ceilings. I wouldn't say the hotel was awful, but for the price I would have expected it to be a bit nicer. I think the pictures on the site are misleading and give the impression it's more classic style, when really it's just dated and worn out.
