Clean and pleasant hotel. Helpful staff. Quiet. Bathroom and the rest immaculate. Deluxe queen room too small for more than 1 person. Only two small drawers for storage and little floor space. Coffee maker did not heat adequately. Mattress sagged on one side.

Great location, convenient to everything. The staff are unbelievably friendly. Everyone was genuinely interested in our comfort and well being. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The only downside to this hotel is that the rooms are not very sound proof. The walls between rooms are very thin. So much so that we could hear the people in the room next to us talking. There was also significant noise from the street below. Overall a great stay despite the noise.

All-around great stay, great location, very friendly, helpful staff

Great location for exploring Portland. Walkable to Pearl district and waterfront walking paths. Rooms are small, but very nice and beds are very comfortable, nice linens. Would definitely stay there again. Good restaurants abound in Portland, but it is worth noting that the Italian restaurant Pazzo on the corner of the block is excellent.

I've stayed at Hotel Lucia before and was so impressed, I decided to stay there again. It is a wonderful place with a terrific location. The room was extremely clean, complete with a flat-screen TV, ample closet space and spacious bathroom. I will definitely stay at Hotel Lucia in the future. Also, the staff is warm and friendly. I love Hotel Lucia!

Good hotel, in a good location. One of the few hotels with cabs nearby, the rooms are small but expected in an older building. It has modern feel with cool decor, the only downside is house keeping is a but weak, and they kept turning my thermostat down to 67, so when I would get back from my conference in the evenings it would take 3 hours for the old heating system to warm my room. Other than that if downtown Portland is where you need to be, stay here...

Rooms were very clean and located central to everything. The service was wonderful, everyone was very kind and helpful. I was warned that the rooms are small but didn't realize how small until i arrived, but it was cozy and the next time i come to Portland, i'd stay at this hotel again.

My stay at the Hotel Lucia was truly a pleasurable experience. From the lobby to the room, the hotel lives up the all the glowing reviews. The staff was beyond courteous. The room was immaculate, clean, very hip and trendy with the touch of a 5 Star hotel. Located within walking distance of all major places of interest, Hotel Lucia is THE place.

The staff was extremely helpful. It's a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and interesting things to do within walking distance. I will return the next time I travel to Portland.

Our stay at Hotel Lucia in Portland was absolutely fabulous! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was perfectly decorated and I loved the bathroom (and the bathrobes), and there was plenty of closet space. And the location was ideal. My husband and I found numerous places to eat and have coffee, and all within a few blocks of the hotel. Hotel Lucia is fantastic and we will definitely be back!

My and my significant other loved the design, cleanliness and comfort of the Hotel. The super friendly staff was also very helpful when we had questions on how to get to certain areas, sites to checkout while in Portland, and local rules that we failed to research. This was definitely one of the best hotels I've visited.

The room was great but it was not much skyline views. Taller building surrounds this hotel.

The only complain I csn make is the noise you cAn hear from the heating system

This hotel is prefect for a first time Portland visitor; centrally located, fantastic restaurant attached, clean and comfortable. Everyone was helpful and friendly. They accommodated our early check in and locked our bags up while we did more sight seeing after check out.

Fabulous location and beautiful public spaces. Check out the hotel's iconic photography collection and have a coffee at the recently opened Portland Penny Dinner, another gem of an eatery to add to an already sparkling neighborhood. The hotel's restaurant, Imperial, is very sleek. Vitaly Paley is a star chef in Portland, and the Hotel Lucia's very lucky to have him and his team recently open both these culinary ventures under one roof. Though I dined only at the bar, the soup was delicious and the burger well worth the calories. The room I stayed in was, however, quite dusty (even on the night stands, but good grief, don't open the drawers!), and the temperature was hard to control. Thank God there was a window that actually opened so I could air out the stuffiness. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, especially with special requests. One colleague of mine, who's in his 60s, remarked that he felt like the oldest person in the hotel. Clientele did, indeed, seem on the hipster side of the age gauge. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you have to travel to downtown Portland.

I so enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was great and the service was amazing.

Hotel Lucia is a very nice boutique property. I was pleasantly suprised by the ambiance in the hotel lobby and thought that the room was well appointed. The hotel provided Aveda bath products and had a nice gym with free weights and some cardio equiptment.There were also some nice resturants within walking distance and it was easy to hop on the busing system from the hotel.

Great customer services although our last day there we came back at 4:00 and our room was not made up yet. The rooms were hard to move around in with 2 people. If I were staying alone it would have been perfect.

Very comfortable hotel with great service. The only problem was the ice machine on our floor was broken.

Hotel Lucia was evertything I expected except for one - the room was extremely small. If staying for 1-2 days, thats ok, but I was holed up for 6 nights in a room that was barely big enough for the king-sized bed. Other than that, the staff was terrific and very helpful and the location cant be beat!

My husband and I combined a work trip with a romantic weekend. The hotel was very accomodating to our 70#, well mannered labrador. They warned us ahead of time about a 1/2 marathon that only slightly impacted traffic around the hotel. The location was very convenient; we walked to the Pearl District every day and the river at least once a day. We plan on staying there every time we return to Portland.

Excellent friendly helpful service by all. Hotel very nice, rooms a touch compact but one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in. Would definately stay again.

While aesthetically a very nice hotel, the operation of the elevators (requiring a key card) was very hit/miss and half the time the elevator would close and get called to someone above who needed to come down before we could get our key to actually work which had us riding up and down the elevators unnecessarily. The room was okay, but it was very small, and for the price, we felt it was a poor deal. We'd have had no problem with the room had we not had to pay what we did. We live in Portland and like to try a new hotel each year just for an easy night away. The staff was very nice and the lobby was great. Being a photographer, I appreciated the photography theme. The location is great, which probably allows them to justify the pricing on their smallest rooms, but we have found better prices for larger rooms in the same general area downtown. Again, had the price been more reflective of the miniscule size of the room (and tiny bathroom) we'd have been thrilled, but as is, I'd say we will not be back.

Great location, nice rooms with a good-size bathroom (unusual in a city). My only quibble is that the front desk staff--though extremely nice--didn't have a concierge mindset. Was hoping they'd be more in the know and have more connections to places. But I would return again.

Portland's such a transient area that you really can't bypass street people but the location was great, considering, and the bed was sooooooo comfortable. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, too!

We found the hotel lobby and common spaces beautifully designed with good art, the room very attractively appointed, very clean and the staff were excellent in every way; friendly, accommodating and responsive. We were initially offered a room by the ice machine and when I mentioned I was sensitive to noise and would prefer a different location, was offered two others with the thought that an interior room might be quieter. Sadly, the interior rooms face an inner shaft filled with large fans and other building equipment which I found rather loud all night long. I would definitely stay here again however I'd stay in an exterior room facing the street. We had a wonderful weekend here and I would recommend it highly.

We stayed one night at this excellent hotel in Portland, OR. It's in an excellent location downtown and the room, while small, was great. The bed was softer than most hotels that we're used to, which could be a plus for some travelers. The blinds allowed a bit too much early morning sun in compared to other hotels as well. But don't mistake those minor issues for major complaints. The hotel was beautiful, and decorated with nice art and photographs. We would easily stay here again.

We enjoyed our one night stay and wish we could have added an extra day or two to our trip. Hotel Lucia is in a nice location and within walking distance from the Art Museum and the Pearl District.

Very nice

I was in Portland for a business conference. Hotel Lucia had a great contemporary feel, all of the staff was very welcoming. My room was smallish (which doesn't bother me), so definitely more boutique city hotel than big chain with big rooms. A couple small things were broken in my room and the breakfast I ordered was surprisingly small portions compared to comparable hotels. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Lucia, and we've enjoyed it immensely both times. The front desk staff and doormen couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The rooms are on the small side, but immaculately clean and very well laid out. The mattresses are terrific, and we always like the Aveda brand toiletries that the hotel provides.
