Had problem with bathroom in original room, hotel services were excellent and they moved us to a new room and have us free breakfast buffet for the remainder of our stay!

A very comfortable all-suite hotel right on Tampa Bay. Nice pool right on the bay. Nothing fancy but spacious, comfortable rooms and a free chocolate chip cookie. Nothing is right nearby but you need a car to get around Tampa anyway.

We often stay at Double Tree Suites when available based upon previous good results. Was not dissapointed! Some reviews almost caused us to not book this Hotel. Glad we did not listen, Location, Staff, Cleanliness, and Room was all very very nice. Grounds were clean, pool was fine. We always rent a car so it was very convenient to local sites, food, and only 5-10 minutes from the Airport. Would stay here again without question.

Very unimpressed, will not stay at a double tree hotel again

Our first night in Tampa Bay, we stayed at another hotel across the street and were sadly disappointed with the loud blasting music until midnight and sub par rooms. We decided to try out the Double Tree and SO glad we did! Redeemed our weekend getaway. Superb rooms, extra comfy beds, spectacular views of the bay, quiet, and excellent service from the staff. Thank you for giving us a much needed romantic getaway.

The actual hotel was fine, good for the price, nice location, and gotta love the cookies. But the restaurant, which I had to eat 2 dinners at for time crunch, served absolutely terrible food. Two different salads, nachos, chicken tenders - you wouldn't think it would be hard to get those right. But tasteless, limp for all. Moral: if you stay, eat outside the hotel.

When we travel, we always try to find a DoubleTree Hotel at our destination. We have stayed at quite a few and they have always the best. I will always recommend DoubleTree Hotel to ever ask what is great hotel to stay at.

I was in Tampa due to my graduate from the Ultimate Medical Academy, and everyone was professional and friendly. Some of the staff we became acquainted with on a personal level,the shuttle driver (Manny) was very helpful, advisable,knowledgeable, polite and friendly . Also, all of the front desk staff was professional, and your cookies were delicious. There was one young man (Anthony} who definitely enjoys his position. I just want to let you know you have an asset in this young man, and you need more people like him. He shows he has much knowledge of the business and is eager to learn more. All in all our stay at your hotel was quite enjoyable and we would gladly book another stay at the "Doubletree".

No many complaints on the hotel, the one bedroom suite was very large, very clean and great location on a peninsula surrounded by water and quietness. My son end me we competed on the St Pete car race weekend, after long day at the track we headed to the hotel to freshen up an go out to dinner just down the street be found Bahama Breeze and many other restaurants to eat. It was a pleasant stay… March 19-2013

If they try to give you room 719, dont take it. It's located next to the Elevator and very noisy. The room has also only a Queen-size-bed!!!!!

I was promised a bayview room and paid an upcharge for this. I was given a view that was nice, but was not of the bay. I was given a poor line by the check-in desk. The hotel was attractive inside, but I will not stay there again because I feel that they didn't honor the request that I paid for. If I was offered a refund for the extra fee, that would have been one thing, but they tried to tell me that I got a "water"view, but was not the bay. I got to look out over the pool which did not include any bodies that should have been displayed at a pool, the roof top of part of the hotel and a view of a nice strip of water. But again, not the bay and again, not what I paid for.

From the location to the staff to the room everything was wonderful. The location was perfectly described and centrally located! The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was more than we expected and very clean. The grounds and common areas were very well maintained. We will definitely stay at the Double Tree again!

Felt safe. Liked the free parking. Great room service.

The staff at this hotel went far beyond what anyone could or would expect to accommodate us -- and other guests as well. We would definitely stay at this hotel if in the Tampa area in the future.

Hotel is hard to get to with all the nearby expressway exits. Need to have carts available for luggage transportation from car to room. Heated pool would be nice since it was actually cold out in March. Wish this hotel had a balcony and beach but the size of the rooms was great. Found a great price.

We enjoyed the beautiful room and view of this hotel. However, after three attempts by maintenance staff to correct/and or repair the slow drain in the bathroom basin, we still had to deal with a very sluggish drain.

Had a King suite for the weekend. It was very spacious, quiet and cozy. Bed was a little stiff, but if you like a firm mattress then your are set. I was there for the arctic cold front, so when I woke Sunday morning, the bay had a lot of ice. Best part was, dolphins swimming in the bay right by the dock in the front of the hotel! The location was okay. Kind of in the middle of where I needed to be and where I wanted to go. After all, you're there for the attractions and the beach, ot the hotel alone. I used hotels.com mad got the room for $102 a night. Great deal for such a large room.

The Double Tree was great! The service was outstanding and everyone was very friendly and helpful! The only downside is that it is quite a drive to everything as it is a few miles from downtown.

Doubletree worked out OK for lady friend and myself but it would have been nice if there was some type of food service (kiosk?) other than the hotel restaurant. It cost TOO MUCH for the breakfast buffet which was average at best; far too expensive. The hotel had a business center with 6 computers which helps. Very close to the airport if flying into/out of Tampa (we were not). The traffic in the downtown Tampa was very bad which surprised me. I can only imagine what L.A. is like! By the way, we had rental car so free parking at hotel was nice.

The room was very big and comfortable! Two TV's and a bar sink, which helped out when we were running late and both my fiancé and I needed to get ready. Price was great for what we got, I would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to friends and family.

Stayed here recently for a wedding at a nearby venue. Very satisfied, and for the reasonable price it greatly exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend to anyone, business or pleasure.

This was a nice location to get to the beaches surrounding Tampa Bay. Very refreshing stay in large rooms that make you feel like you are in your own home.

Really enjoyed the stay. Great place. I will stay there again.

Old hotel, overpriced. Swimming pool is so poorly layed out that you cannot get any sun after 2 pm or earlier. Really bad. People working there are okay but after that, it all starts falling off hard.

Staff friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

This was a wonderful hidden gem! The building is older but renovated beautifully. The view from the room was stunning & peaceful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy, but there was a $200 hold placed on my debit card even though my room was paid in full prior to arrival. I was not told of this hold at check in, only advised that my cars was being taken for incidentals. Being Christmas time, this was a great inconvenience. The room was clean and spacious but in need of an upgrade. There was a constant odor that I could not identify in the room and the ac unit is LOUD! Overall good price for what we got, comfortable room and great location on the water. Being a Tampa native, I would stay again!

Fairly good stay but expected a little more for the price. Signs of aging for property. Tricky getting ice. Nice location by the water.

This is my preferred hotel in the Tampa area. Its 5 minuetes from the airport and offers good water views. The restaurant food quality is above average and unexpected.

Amazing view from my room. Everything ran smoothly. Minor things here and there but overall it was a great stay
