excellent location

good, the only problem is the lack of sound isolation inside the rooms from other rooms

Hotel was clean and comfortable and reception staff very helpful. Checked in early and left bags in secure room on check out as late flight home. Very useful. Hotel on Rambla de Catalunya a quiet extension of the Rambla itself so very convenient. From Hotel down the Rambla to the port is 1 mile walk. Also walked to Sagrada Familia from hotel. Didn't use hotel restaurant as breakfast was pricey at 20 euros each - cafe 3 doors up road which does breakfast for half the price. Very small lifts. Night doorman is reassuring. Upgraded to room with a Terrace on sixth floor for 15 euros/night and gave more space for room which was quite small. Room a bit dated even though recent upgrade. Strange to have blankets and not a duvet .Bathroom included a bidet so toilet close to the door which only half opened.Included cheap toiletries and one tooth brush! Room overlooked the street which was much quieter than the rest of the Rambla and quiet at night with the windows closed. There is a safe in the rooms but disappointingly no tea or coffee making facility and none available downstairs. Free wi-fi in rooms is a bonus. I would recommend to others as the position is central but relatively quiet at the same time. There is a Metro station 2 blocks away, Starbucks 1 block and the Placa de Catalunya 3 blocks away (10mins walk) where you pick up the start of the Open Bus tours and where the Aerobus transport to/from the airport terminates.

It was a wonderful vacation and I really thank you for the good services you provide. The room was a little bit noisy (I heard my neighbours talking at 5 am) but I don't want to make a tragedy for this. I would have wanted a good breakfast as we enjoyed in Madrid at Suites Viena in the first three days of our vacation, where for this off-season time they offered breakfast for two for 14 euros. It was a very pleasant surprise. I was surprised (this time unpleasantly) by the pool. Given the dimensions it would have been better to have a hot tub instead, it would have been more useful...As a whole, our stay in Barcelona at HCC Regente was very good. Thank you again.

Great area, Nice big room.

Very professional, friendly staff and the room was very well equipped and nicely made up on arrival. The location is probably the best thing about this hotel, right on the Ramblas, but the quieter part north of Placa Catalunya which is only ten minutes walk away. Five minutes walk to Passeig De Gracia if you want to take the metro anywhere and this is also a direct stop on the train from the airport so really handy. For the fashion freaks the area is littered with top quality shopping and eating places too. Only one small gripe was that our room had absolutely no view at all, I'm told the balcony rooms however all have fantastic views and it was just a shame we arrived too late to get one.

We highly recommend this hotel. We stayed there in June for three weekend nights. We had a fifth floor room with a great view. We found an even greater view on the top "pool"floor. Very comfortable beds, spacious enough, larger bathroom and all very clean. Friendly, helpful front desk and comfortable lounge for watching the World Cup. Location: fabulous, quiet, walking distance to La Rambla.

Tres bel endroit, service tres sympathique, inconvénient pas de parking, il y a un parking souterrain collé à l'hotel mais a 30€ la journee

Vi var veldig fornøyde med hotellet. Bra beliggenhet og hyggelig personell.

La estancia ha sido muy especial, el edificio es una obra de arte en sí mismo. La situación es magnífica, la zona muy tranquila. El personal es muy atento, amable y muy profesional, te hacen sentir como en casa en todo momento y te ayudan en todo lo que pueda surgir. El ambiente interior es tranquilísimo. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y estan impecables. Lo recomendamos especialmente y sin duda volveremos a alojarnos en nuestra próxima visita a Barcelona.

L'hôtel a beaucoup de style à l'entrée et les étages sont bien desservies et faciles d'accès. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien conçues. Beaucoup trop de chambre ne donnent pas sur la rue ou sur un jardin mais sur une galerie technique pour un 4 étoiles, c'est décevant. En conséquence les chambres sont silencieuses... La piscine vantée est microscopique environ 5 m x 2m pour un mètre de profondeur maximum. Hormis ces détails, le petit déjeuner est très correct et le bar au dernier étage est fort sympathique. Le service général est de qualité mais attention au desk, il vaut mieux parler l'espagnol car le français, ils ne connaissent pas !

Vi spanderte på oss to ekstra netter i Barcelona på slutten av ferien, og fikk rom på kort varsel. Utsikten, kombinert med det lille bassenget og hyggelig, enkel servering på taket satte prikken over i'en for oss. Sengene var komfortable, god lydisolering ut mot gata, hjelpsomt personale og rent og velholdt hotell. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake :)

El buffet del desayuno miserable y carísimo (casi 20 Euros) por persona. Sin variedad de pan, practicamente sin fruta fresca,el café malísimo, el mínimo de oferta... Me gustaría saber en que se basa la calificación de los hoteles en España, este hotel tendría que mejorar mucho para considerarlo de cuatro estrellas.... . Lo realmente rescatable es la ubicación del hotel. La zona es muy buena.

Ett veldig greit hotell med god beliggenhet i forhold til severdigheter og shopping. Kostbar frukost hvis den ikke er bestilt samtidig med rommet.

Ich kann gar nichts sagen! Wir waren einfach sehr zufrieden. Die Fassade des Hotels ist sehr speziell! Wir sahen sogar Leute, die unser Hotel fotografiert haben, als wir auf dem Balkon standen. Man könnte wirklich meinen, das Hotel gehöre zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Einzig das Frühstück fanden wir etwas übertrieben vom Preis her: 19 Euro pro Tag. Grosse Auswahl hat es nämlich nicht. Ansonsten empfehle ich das Hotel seehr gerne weiter! Und: Das Hotel liegt an einer Strasse, jedoch hört man überhauuupt nichts! Das Hotel ist sehr gut isoliert. Super! PS: Der Pool ist effektiv sehr klein. Aber eine prachtvolle Aussicht kann man auf der Terrasse oben geniessen! Die Sacrada Familla sieht man sehr gut! Fantastisch zu geniessen mit einem kleinen Apéro ;-)

Okay hotel with a good location.

the hotel lies with the good place.the persons of reception are polite.if you want spent a lot of time in hotel perhaps another hotel is better.We were outside most of time and only wash and sleep in the hotel and that the reason we liked the hotel.

Det enda 4 stjärniga med detta hotell, är läget. För övrigt var hotellet väldigt standard, gammalt, slitet och framför allt.......urkassa sängar. Har inte sovit så dåligt på nåt hotell nån gång. Tror inte jag kommer rekommendera detta, man kan nog få lite bättre standard för ca samma pris. Det enda som var super toppen var läget.
