Very pleased with hotel,very comfortable ask well as clean. would definitely stay there again

My daughter and I stayed overnight to check out a prospective job. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and conveniently located on the island. The staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly in helping us navigate our way around the island as first time visitors. Would definately stay again. Also, was reasonably priced for the island.

Pretty quiet in February on MV! But staff was welcoming and friendly. Recommended a couple of places that were open for dinner on a Sunday night. Chose to walk across street to Lucky Hank's which had opened in October and was a great surprise - great food in a small, friendly old home that has been totally renovated. Room was clean and comfortable and continental breakfast was an adequate start to the day. Would love to go back in the summer and see the island when it wakes up from its "hibernation".

Very nice and clean hotel. Great restuarant right in the hotel. Nice breakfast, free with stay. Great location. Reasonably priced.

The hotel was priced reasonable. It was a conviemt location and the staff was helpful.

good location - very helpful front desk good breakfasts

Nice clean room. Front desk staff were very helpful. Hotel a little bit of a walk or short shuttle drive from the stretch of Main Street that has all the shops and restaurants. I felt the hotel was over priced for what you get. There was no room service, no hot breakfast (the cold free breakfast was, well, cold and free). Housekeeping not available in the evening. No real amenities. I guess one is paying for staying in Martha's Vineyard.

The Clarion Carriage House is part of a nationwide chain of hotels, which have high standards but hardly rank next to the personalized and intimate service of a B & B. I was disappointed in the breakfast (mostly the cardboard predictable type) and in the institutional feel of the hotel. On the other hand, we had two queen beds (which was what we asked for) and the location was perfect for us on foot to reach Edgartown easily.

the hotel was nice and convenient to our friends house to whom we had to visit after passing of a loved one. upset that at 230 am the fire alarms went off and no one was informed of anything. not only did it go off once for 1/2 hour it repeatedly went off 3 more times. we were never given an apology or any compensation for the inconvenience. also--they slipped the wrong bill under our door with a rate much lower then mine.

The hotel is a great location and very convenient. Overall, I would recommend, it especialy at the rate per night.

This hotel actually does have handicap access. The handicap bedroom does not have a roll-in shower, but does have a chair in the tub. I mention this because the popular myth is that the Harbor View is the only handi-cap friendly hotel on the island. This is not the case, but you have to call places like this and talk to them about what they have.

The hotel is modern and clean. However it has some issues which potential visitors should consider . Firstly the breakfast is some pkts of cereal , a few buns in wrappers and coffee in a thermos. The hotel has a bar, it is noisy and not often occupied by guests but by locals, this applies to the car park aswell, with locals using it and causing residents to parking further from the entrance than is needed. Additionally and uniquely in all the countries I have visited including the USA 52 times, a envelope asking for a gratuity for the housekeeper. I was dumbfounded as if I find the service to be above what I have paid for I will leave something. But an envelope spelling it out and the name of the housekeeper was in my opinion tactless. Not a bad location but nothing to write home about or recommend

Very convenient hotel. Right on Upper Main St., and surprisingly quiet for the location. Easy to get food from nearby market and many nearby eateries and places to walk. Quiet, clean, comfortable and a great place to rest after a day of activities on the island.

We were pleased with everything with this hotel. The Room was impeccable. I would go back there ;and we would recommand it To everyone.

This is about the only chain hotel on Martha's Vineyard. It was very convenient to Edgartown as well as Oak Bluffs. There are several places within walking distance and if you don't mind a 15-20 minute walk, you can get downtown to Edgartown. It was clean and friendly and very comfortable beds. The continental breakfast left something to be desired, however.

We are used to staying in luxury accommodations but nothing was available so we stayed at the Clarion. It was surprisingly doable! The location was perfect for fun walks and great restaurants. The Grill is attached to the hotel and you will think you are eating in a 5 star restaurant when you taste the entrees. Really, we are very fussy family and this food was quality food. The hotel even offers 20% off your meals at the Grill which is a fantastic deal. Front desk ladies were wonderful! Hotel breakfast was a bit pathetic but better than nothing. Linens were cheap but clean and the beds were ok. All in all, it was a good deal for the money.

The hotel was clean. It was not what we viewed online.

The in season price tag is high but there was a fridge and a microwave and stop and shop was right next door so that with the cereal, English muffin,Danish, coffee and tea breakfast that was included we prob defrayed some overall costs. We were in walking distance to edgartown and we took the bus to other places. Pleasant stay. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Booking through Hotels.com did not give us our triple A discount nor did the Clairion. Disa;ppointed that the restaurant was not open for breakfast, but the Continental was adequate.

While the room was clean and assessible to the beaches and activities (by car), the rooms were quite costly. The continental breakfast was limited - no waffles, yogurt, or fruit other than apples. On our first morning, the maintenance workers were repairing lights and hanging pictures. They were knocking and pounding far too early for paying, vacationing customers, and imagine our surprise when we learned that there was no elevator! With this said, the front desk personnel were friendly and quite helpful with all requests.

Beautiful place clean rooms and great service. Just a short walk to shops and some great food. We'll stay there again for sure.

We stayed here on a 3-day business trip in December. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms was clean and comfortable. Morning continental breakfast was fine with fresh coffee, pastries, hot and cold cereals, orange juice and apples for a later snack. The room was quiet, the TV worked and offered HBO. There was a comfortable desk, a sofa and free wi-fi. What more could you ask?

I would receommend this hotel, great location, friendly staff, good price point, good breakfast

very nice stay, convieniant location, grocery store, bike rental next door. hotel was not as commercial as a typical clarion, more like a b and b and fit in perfect for the island. would rec to anyone.
