Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center - Visalia

I was in visalia to take an engineering licensing exam. It turned out to be a great choice for my test at the convention center. It was right at the convention center; no walking or crossin the street. I was able to relax and get good rest at this excellent hotel.

Staff (Front Desk and Bell Service) were very helpful and quick to respond. There is a UPS Store 100 yds away making it easy to ship out trade show materials after the show and great restaurants withn 2-4 blocks.

The staff was great. They were helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back.

Close to main st which was great! Has it's own lounge. Nice room. Great staff ..

When plans to getaway for a three day weekend fell through - we opted to just spend a night at our local hotel. It worked beautifully. Nightlife near by was walkiing distance as were the restaurants and every thing we needed.

Service is not very good

THE ROOM WAS LOVELY AND VERY CLEAN. OUR ONLY COMPLAINT WAS MY HUSBAND AND I LIKE IT COOL WHEN WE SLEEP AND THE ROOM WAS TO WARM FOR US.

Everything was wonderful except a particular waitress. She was extremely unprofessional and ignored our table. The fact that we had a hungry 3 year old and got ignored was extremely upsetting, she was way more interested in flirting than taking our order. We actually just paid for our drinks and left it was awful. The room was great very clean I enjoyed my stay up until that waitress treated my family and me with such disrespect.

Overall, my family was very satisfied with our plan in visiting Sequoia National Park. Location was good. The hotel room was comfortable and kept clean. The beds were comfortable. Pricing was excellent for all the values mentioned. I wished the parking system was better. Unlike any other hotel parking set up, it was just out there open. Often, travel to and from my car was away from the hotel entrance. Based on overall review, I would stay again.

My husband and I had a great day! Too bad we just stayed a few hrs in the hotel. We went to a party and got to the room at midnight and left early in the morning. The location and the room were great!

Hotel is new and conveniently located so you can walk to all downtown restaurants.

I decided to stay in Visalia halfway from SF ro LA, just to cut down on the driving I had to do in a day. Made the reservation at the this hotel based on the recommendation of a couple from nearby Lemoore I had met earlier on my trip. Staff was extremely friendly, hotel had all the features I required, restaurant and bar were also very good. OVerall, also very good value for money

Beautiful rooms, great stay. Very pleased.

Would like to have seen a compact refrig in the room.

Standard Marriott comfort.. friendly staff.. food was served bang on time.. on the negative.. no heated indoor pool.

It was clean and upscale.

We couldn't park because there was a party in the next building and we had to go out of our way to find parking. Then we booked a room for 4, and we got a room with a King bed (seriously?) After talking to the front desk we got offered a folding bed -the last bed available according to them- Then I asked when the manager would be available to speak out my concern. We left to our room and about an hour later we got a call that they had clean a room with two queens. The room was a relief, but the soaps in the shower were used and there were couple pieces of paper in the room floor. Lastly, a group of friends that were staying at a separate room got vouchers for breakfast -according to the staff those vouchers were included in the reservation- We didn't get any offer, although we both booked and paid with my card through hotels.com I will not stay here again

very convenient to Main Street Visalia Only suggestion for improvement is to have internet connection in the room.

Who goes to Visalia right? At least not for fun... but in my case, I was there for my niece's graduation in Exeter, so Visalia is the closest thing to civilization in that area. I stayed at Marriott and when originally booked, my expectations were zero. I was pleased to find a very nice and clean oasis in the middle of cow town; it was a breath of fresh air. I will definitely stay there any time I come visit family in the area. The hotel has a very nice pool and jacuzzi and my nieces enjoyed it until 11pm. It was a good time and I slept like a baby! Staff was friendly and most courteous at all times.

I requested a room with a king bed when I made my reservation but was told when I arrived that only rooms with double beds were available. There was inadequate parking because much of the lot was reserved for an event taking place at the adjacent convention center. We had to temporarily park outside the lobby until a space opened up about 20 minutes later. Other than that, it is a very nice hotel and we enjoy staying at the Marriott when visiting Visalia. Room service was also wonderful. Our breakfast arrived right on time and was fresh and delicious. We will likely stay here next time we come to town.

Layout of the room was good; bed was comfy Good location; restaurant food was delicious. I was on the 5th floor, but there were small ants in the bathroom - a few in sink and near shower, just a few, but still...

I've stayed here before, but I was very disappointed this time. Three adults had to share two ~very small~ double beds. The description of the room that I booked said it had three beds. I certainly wouldn't have booked this room if I'd known how small the beds were.

We had a family party at the convention center which there is direct access to from the hotel's back entrance. However, they locked the hotel back entrance at a certain time at night before our party was over. We had to walk around to the front of the building with the weather being 35 degrees!! They could have warned us! Besides that... everything was nice and clean.

It was a nice hotel, clean , nice, neat , new in parts, the biggest issue for us is it was only fly by night stay, so did not geta look around etc- but it just looked like a hotel in a town. Yes it was propbably much better than the alternative but we dont really know! There was nothing bad, but nothing outstanding. Yes, stay here, but it had no other great charms and character we look for in an overseas holiday!

We spent a one night stay at the Visalia Marriot. A relative passed away who resided with his family in Visalia. Anyway, I drove from the San Fernando Valley to Visalia, about 3 hrs, with my mother who has a leg injury and my brother who is diabetic and has use of only one leg and one arm, having to lose one of each due to the illness. The front desk was very very accommodating to our needs. I asked if there was a chance to check in early because of my brothers condition and I expected the response to be that we would have to wait til 4:00 pm check in but no way. The young lady looked up my reservation and took care of us so quickly and with a big smile on her face. I felt so relieved that my brother and mom did not have to wait. If it had been just myself, I would not have asked the favor, but the whole thing was stress free. Thank you Marriot,Visalia and the young lady in training who was there on 8/20 at 4pm. I apologize for forgetting her name, but sincere thanks from us all.

This was the dirtiest room I have ever been in, The carpet was awful. The room was hot and muggy, the precoded T-stat, was not able to be set low enough to keep the room at a livable temp.. We were absolutely shocked to see this filth at a Marriot. Hotels should clean the carpet in each room, at a minimum of once a month.
