Motel 6 Omaha - אומהה

There were several little things that all added up to one very disappointing hotel stay. The first thing that caught my attention was when first walking into the hotel lobby the smell of cigarette smoke everywhere. I understand if a hotel has smoking and non-smoking rooms, but the lobby should not smell like an ashtray. Second was that the floors were vaccummed but the stairs had not been in what looked like at least a month. Third was the heater/AC unit did not have any weather sealing at the top, so cold air kept blowing into the room, keeping the unit running all day and night when set at only 68 degrees. Fourth was the pool; it is indoor but yet is still closed "for the season". Fifth was the adversitised hot & cold buffet breakfast when there was no breakfast at all. Finish it off with our bed did not even have a fitted sheet for the bottom, just a top sheet that kept coming untucked all night. My wife and I will NOT be back to that establishment.

The pool was closed. This information should be passed on if someone else is able to make reservations for them.

The pool and hot tube were closed. The website advertised it open. We will NEVER stay there again

The whole place is really shabby. Maintenance is NOT a priority here. I was cold all night, the heater made a lot of noise but blew only cold air. I was up early for breakfast, and found the coffee to be slightly less than lukewarm. I suspect that they just turned on the pot to warm up yesterday's leftover coffee. I'll never be back!

Everything is acceptable except our room had a bad odor smell when we went inside.

This econo lodge was very disgusting very dirty and it smelled so bad. The first room they put us in the toilet was full of BM and the room smelled so bad! They second room was just dirty there were hairs all over in tye bathroom the carpet was iust nasty i didnt even want my kids to touch anything. Ive stayed at alot of econo lodges and this one was so dirty and gross that i didnt even want to stay there after we checked in

We were not happy at all. The security lock was hanging by it's screws, the tub faucet was not caulked to the wall and would turn in your hand, the smoke alarm was hanging by it's wires, the tv remote didn't have batteries, the cable on the tv was loose so that you couldn't receive picture, and the staff was not there when we needed to check out in the morning and so we had to leave the keys on the desk and leave after waiting 10 minutes so that we did not miss a business meeting and did not get a receipt because of this.

there was no towels out in the pool area. When you ask for a wake up call they said they can do that but then they never called. the room was clean.

Everything is dirty. Pillows without pillowcases, blanket with stains, bathtub with someone's hair and mold, breakfast room utensils look like they were not washed in years, the only wafflemaker is broken. Breakfast looks nothing like previous Econolodge we stayed in. They have only waffle mix for the broken wafflemaker and bread. If something is running there is no refills or restocking, you'll stay hungry. Staff is unresponsive. This place also has terrible smell. Econolodge Omaha was worst experience ever. I wish I never stayed there.

The stay was fine, room was clean. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. My door would not lock but they immediately fixed the problem. BUT, there was no A/C in the lobby area. it was 98 degrees outside and had to be that hot in the lobby area.. as soon as I stepped outside the room it was massive heat.. can the a/c be fixed? I would stay there again,, if summer I would check out the A/C first.!!

This isn't worth a 3.6 guest rating and is definitely a two-star hotel. The room was clean enough, but felt unclean. The sheets felt unclean. The front desk waited on someone else while I waited in line. It was worth the low price for the night, but based on guest ratings, I expected a better deal. You get what you pay for.

This is a stopover kind of motel. It's not luxury, but it's a bed to sleep in, and it's easy access to I-80. The staff was curt but friendly, the rooms had all the basic amenities, and the motel was located close to several restaurants. My biggest complaint is that the room, though it was clean enough, smelled funky when I walked in. I got a good night's sleep and moved on.

It was very dirty. The security lock was broke on the door. The comforters were burnt with cigarette burns and we were in non-smoking rooms. The room smelled. We had to ask to have the pool door unlocked and the water smelled so bad in both the pool and the hot tub. The air conditioner did not cool the room. Some of the outlets did not work.

The room was average for the price. The lobby smelled of smoke but the smoke-free room was fine. Both the room and bathroom were clean. Only two pillows on the double bed so I was glad I brought my own. Hotel is located in an industrial area there are two restaurants within a couple of blocks.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in!!! DIRTY, HOT, NO A/C, DIRTY BREAKFAST!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

The air conditioner in the room was high up on the wall, so you needed to stand on a chair to adjust it. Breakfast was disorganized and not sufficent. There was no milk for the ceral, no coffee, and the orange juice was watered down. There were two young men sleeping on couches in the lobby. Also, I could not connect to the internet with my Apple laptop. It was a weird place. Had I known that they did not really have free internet and the breakfast was so subpar, I would have stayed somewhere else.

Paid way too much for this hotel!!!

This hotel is a pit. The entire place smells like smoke, sweat and dirt. The air conditioner in my room did not work. Nor did the one in the 2nd room I switched to. The 3rd room had a newer unit that worked but the filter was filthy. I killed a wasp on the wall before going to sleep. The pool was filthy and not heated. Would never stay here again.

We had no power in the morning that we were leaving! The continental breakfast was a little skimpy. Room was clean.

This hotel should be leveled. The air conditioners didn't work. The refrigerators didn't close. The sheets had holes in them. The hallways smelled awful. The "breakfast" consisted of the waffles machine or toast. I've stayed in inexpensive hotels before but at least they were clean. The EconoLodge was far below my expectations.

When we arrived the outside temperature was 104 and were surprised to find that the HOT air was blowing in the room. We were very uncomfortable for a few hours until I could get the room cooled down. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain and because it was so late at night I just had my kids use the bathtub to wash hands. The next morning I went down to get breakfast only to find that everything had already been put away even though it wasn't time for breakfast to be over. I found some cereal and asked the host for some milk. He reluctantly filled the container with only a little milk which wasn't enough for 2 bowls. It was just an overnight stay while we continued on our trip, but it was an awful one and made for a miserable morning.

The beds sank in the middle and was very hard to sleep on. I didn't get any sleep. The pool was small and looked nasty. They did not keep up on supplying the breakfast food, drinks, and eating utensils. I will never stay there again.

We were in Omaha for our daughter's medical school graduation. The Econolodge was very close to her apartment, so it provided us with the ability to spend much time together. The only complaint I have was the smoke smell that permeated the lobby and hallway areas. It was particularly strong over the weekend. Other than that, my husband and I were comfortable and felt well cared for.

It was very good.

The hotel is convienently located (in an industrial area) minutes from the interstate making it convienent for seeing both Omaha and Council Bluffs area. It serves complementary breakfast and has an indoor pool which is always great for those travelling with kids. The bathroom was pretty clean, however we did kill 2 bugs in our room. It was not the classiest of places, but a good value hotel room for those that dont spend much time in their room. On our trip, it was quiet and easy to get sleep for the following days adventures at the zoo. I would reccommend it.

Our room albeit the bed was made and clean the bathroom had human waste on the wall beside the stool. The tub looked like it had never been cleaned. When we arrived there was only one bath towel and 2 hand towels in the room. When we asked for more we were given two towels that looked like dish rags. The pool was so incredibly gross you couldn't see the bottom and the hot tub was not even working. Becase the hotel clerk spoke very broken English it was impossible to get anything accomplished.We were EXTREMELY dissatisfied!!

The Hotel was in a bad condition and needs to be cleaned at all. Our room smelled old and seemed very shady and old-dated. The staff was not very friendly when we checked in and out. Breakfast was not eatible. They only had toast and waffes. But we were not able to eat the waffles since the cups with waffle mixture seemed to be standing there for quite a while with some dirt in it. The juice machine was out of order. We stayed only one night and therefroe it was ok. If you are travelling with kids or plan to stay longer I could not recommend this hotel.

The rooms was clean and neat. They have an indoor pool with a hot tub. everything looked real clean. The people running the hotel was very guest friendly. This hotels is not real fancy, but if you would an inexpensive place to stay it's pretty good. The nieghbor hood is pretty much industrial. I felt real safe there.

great location and convinient

This hotel was absolutely terrible. We made a reservation for a King Suite and they refused to give it to us. They bounced us around to three different rooms and the one we finally got, there was someone staying in it. The rooms hadn't been cleaned and were absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. In fact that hotel needs to be shut down.

Oh my goodness! Where do I begin. I am not a particular person and usually if it has a clean bed and running water I'm good with that. But wow, this was rediculous! I had reserved this a prior to our arrival. When checking in, the lobby reeked of cigarette smoke to the point of making me nausiated. The hotel lobby/dining area was very nice though. Upon opening the door to our room, we got blasted with such cold air that we felt like we just walked into the walk in freezer. Seriously, they couldn't have even bumped up the room to 60* knowing we were coming. Of course the heater worked in the room but it takes forever to warm that area with that little room heater and we ended up going into that freezing bed frozen and with the pain of cold as my daughter and I suffer from raynauds (where our extremities freeze at 72*). Not to mention the light in the bathroom exhaust fan kept crackling like it was going to explode at any moment and there was no way to just turn that light off. Hot water in the sink, yeah better let it run for half an hour to get there, of course that cause our fingers to freeze even more so, not being able to have hot water there. Since the window unit didn't have a temperature guage, at 4:00 a.m. we awoke to a sauna in our room. At least it was better then a refrigerator. Upon going to dine at the continental breakfast. Well --- the waffle batter looked like it had been there a few days as it was beginning to separate. Then after making waffles from the fresher looking ones in the back of the caddy, there was no syrup to be found anywhere, not even under the counters. Of course to raise anyone at the front desk or even find anyone who worked there was impossible!! We even watched several other people try to find someone after we tried ringing the bell, calling the extention on the service phone, etc. Shoot, I even tried calling the hotel's direct line from my cell and still noone answered!! Hotel staff were very friendly.The only bad thing was the pool was closed and the kids were looking forward to going swimming otherwise everything else was great.Continental breakfast was great especially those waffles.Would definitely stay there again

The stay was nice, kind of smells different and the halsl were cold. But the people were nice, the room was clean and the pool and jacuzi was awesome for the price.

First, the room was colder than outside temp. Pool temp was colder than 50 degrees, it took your breath away. No Hot water in the shower, and when I tried to call the front desk, the phone in the room didn't work!

It wasn't dirty,but it wasn't clean either. Never saw a clerk at the desk except at check in. Breakfast was very disappointing and didn't look like they bothered to clean up after people. Hairdryer didn't work and a bug crawled out when pulled off the holder. In all not somewhere I would stay at again.

The heater in the pool didn't work so we were not able to use the indoor pool. It was too cold. The light in the bathroom was very dim and it appeared that the bathtub was not as clean as it could have been if the housekeeper could have seen it better. The sink drained rather slowly, but it did drain. The controls on the ac/heater would not turn completely, but we were able to achieve a comfortable temperature. The bed was very comfortable, and the room seemed to be clean overall. It wasn't quite as close to some things as it stated on hotels.com, but it was still within a convenient distance.

Got a double bed room. The bathroom shower was a little dirty. Saw a few bugs. The staff looked like they were high. Can't complain too much because it was cheap.

Needed attention given to details concerning room maintainence, ie. loose wallpaper, loose toilet seat, marks on the wall.
