You are NOT located on Pennsylvania Ave you are on I Street and should state that. it took 1/2 hour of driving in circles to figure it out. There is not Big Sign telly you the Hotels name just a tiny one hidden by a bush. The attendant that parked my car left my car light on all night so my battery died during the afternoon. Other than that the room was great - the staff friendly.

Historic hotel with nice decorations in convenient location. Our room looked onto an alley that was quite noisy. On both days staff turned up to service the room five minutes after we returned from sightseeing (after 6pm).

Enjoyed our stay completely. Hotel well presented from Lobby to rooms. Able to walk to White House & Lincoln memorial in 15-20 mins. Staff helpful & friendly

Great location, easy walk to all the sites, also close to metro and bus line. Whole foods and restaurants near by!

Great location (near GWU), 2 blocks away from a Metro station, CVS 1 block away, and Whole Foods 2 blocks away. Clean. Better price than downtown hotels.

We got a suite which was spacious. Free wifi. The hotel restaurant was quite good. Overall I recommend and would stay there again.

Spacious suite room, very comfortable for a 4 day stay. We arrived very late and were warmly greeted by the night clerk. The only negative was the Cafe -- waiter confused our breakfast order, though he was gracious about correcting it. Food was mediocre for the price.

Comfortable, clean and safe, Easy walking to Georgetown and various other sites made this an ideal location.

It was very nice. The food was excellent in the restaurant. There washrooms could use vanities as their was no place to put your personal stuff.

Room was small, but clean. It is conveniently located, but tricky to get to if you aren't familiar with DC streets. If I got a good rate, I would stay there again.

Just stayed here with my wife for a conference last week. Kudos to the hotel staff, they made our stay very memorable. Definitely would like to stay here next time I am in DC.

Nice hotel with period features. Nice spacious room. Furniture was nice and appeared antique. Bed was comfortable. Pleasantly surprised to find separate kitchen with fridge etc. The only issue was the toilet which blocked up once but that was attended to be promptly and didn't reoccur. Staff were friendly and polite.

Overall nice, with few negative moments. Doorman sent me to a wrong bus stop so I was late for my meeting. Only two VERY small elevators impossible to catch during rush hours - constantly had to use stairs instead.

Nice historic hotel with a nice bar for an afternoon or evening cocktail. Bed was comfortable. Great location for George Washington university and restaurants.

drain in shower was backed up and the bathroom was not so clean

This was a great hotel! I have always wanted to go to Washington DC. This was actually the 2nd hotel I booked. The first one I canceled after reading about it a bit more. It actually kinda freaked me out. But, Lombardy was a fantastic 2nd choice! The room was great. The bed was comfy, the pillows were great. The bathroom was big. Loved the sink, and the shelf above it. The two bottles of water in the evening were a nice little perk. The hotel is close to 2 metro stops. It's only a few blocks away from the White House. There were plenty of places to eat around the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. I plan on going back to Washington, I will more than likely stay here again.

This hotel has a perfect location. We walked to the White House in less then 15 minutes, Georgetown in about 20 minutes and the GW campus in 5 minutes. The room was clean and quiet, my only suggestion would be to make the bed softer, maybe mattress top. The pillows were on the hard side but other than that the hotel was superb. Good work out room and good breakfast . Helpful staff as well.

Hotel room was a great size, didn't even know it had a small kitchen area. Very clean and great doormen. Don't use their parking it's absolutely ridiculous, $42/night.

This was the third time I have stayed in this hotel. Each time I was very satisfied. The location is great and the folks working there are very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean. The one thing that bothered me was that I was ill in the room one of the days of my stay and I noticed how the house cleaning ladies would let the door slam each time they go in and out of the room, which went on all day long. This was very annoying all day long. Other than that, this is a great place.

Positives: Very clean room,, courteous staff, great location. Could use improvements: the small refrigerator doesn't close properly (milk can spoil), and there's not enough light in the room. Our room's window looks out to the other rooms; thus, for privacy, we had to keep the window blinds closed most of the time. Also, it got very warm at night even when the thermostat was set to low temperature.

Hotel was conveniently located to GWU and other Washington monuments. Rooms are quaint with some surprise elements (e.g. small sitting/make-up area between bath and closet; kitchenette with table for two in cove in bedroom). Staff was extremely friendly and gave good advice on public transportation. Good choice of restaurants within 20 minute walk in Georgetown.

Great staff, wonderful location

I enjoy this hotel. Convenient, friendly boutique with just the right amount old world charm. Time to change the sheets, though. Mine were nubby. And the pull out sofa was really old and the mattress thin. Most luxury hotels these days have mattress pads for the pull out sofas and better comforters. My 12 year old thought it was uncomfortable. King sized bed, walk in closet and bathrobes were a treat in this king suite. Staff is attentive. Food is delicious. Just like being at home spacewise. A great value and a very comfortable stay.

Lovely old National Trust hotel. A little far from the Metro but doable. Helpful staff and attractive decor. My only problem was the lack of light in the vanity area. Great breakfast place, The Breadline is about a 5 minute walk away as is a Starbucks. An excellent Italian restaurant Primi, is next door.

Everything was perfect except the garbage pick-up noise Mon am at 5. But the hotel staff bent over backwards to make up for that!

great location, clean, friendly

Overall I was very pleased with my stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and all of the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The building is historic, but all the fixtures are modern. There was even a ceiling fan in the room. The hotel is only a couple blocks from an Orange/Blue line Metro station, so it takes only a few minutes to get to most attractions. There are numerous great restaurants within a 2 block radius.

My niece and I had five great days at the Hotel Lombardy! A lovely hotel just four blocks from the White House!! The hotel was centrally located four blocks from the Foggy Bottom Subway Station. Our room was on the 10th floor and was very comfortable and quiet. The bed was especially comfortable and the bathroom was a very nice size which was very much appreciated by us girls! All the staff are very nice and professional, Housekeeping is especially helpful!! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet oasis in a busy city.

Great location, lovely bar and restaurant. The room was really pretty and spacious...pillows way too fluffy (but we did not ask for replacements)and trouble with room key working (had to get 3!). Otherwise---we loved it. I would stay her again in a heartbeat. Staff very friendly.

Came up for the weekend to run in the Rock 'n' Roll USA Half. Hotel Lombardy was in a great location in between two stops on the Blue/Orange lines and near GWU neighborhoods. Had a couple of great walks down to the Mall and Lincoln Memorial. Would stay again.

What a wonderful historic hotel - walking distance to all sites. Hotel was clean, quite, and unique in its updated yet historical charm. I would definitely stay there again when I return to the area.

Very convenient location. Hotel was charming. Room quite small but suitable for our short overnight stay.

Comfortable bed, good service, great location. Bit of a historic feel as a bonus. Missing full length mirrors, but that's a pretty minor detail.
