For the price, one can't complain.

Needed to check in an hour early. I called ahead the day before and was promised a 2 hour early check-in. When I arrived only an hour before check-in I was not allowed in a room. The front desk then argued with me over the exact wording of our conversation the day before and basically told me tough luck. Decent place for your money besides that. But don't expect any of the staff to do more than the bare minimum.

Hotel is very convenient to JMU. Room was clean, comfortable. Halls could use a little paint and carpet cleaning. All in all, I was satisfied with my stay, and I would stay again.

For a one-night stay, it was all we needed. Very clean room and service was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

First impressions mean a lot! The outside entrance area definetly needs a rebirth and the vestival area leading to the pool area is quite pathetic, rust spots in areas around pool. We also had to Change our room because the microwave & refrigerator were not clean.However, the overall renovations are quite nice, including the hospitality room. Seems that the important and obvious things are being overlooked, for instance, cleaning the windows(filthy), and outside doors. Our dresser drawers still had soot in them and for gracious sake replace the stained blankets, an instant turn off! With a few detailed improvements, staffing and housekeeping this hotel could result in a much higher rating & demand. The young lady (Gregasha-?) Was most helpful.

The majority of the staff was friendly. The hotel was a bit run down and the HVAC unit was loud when it kicked on, leading to a tough night's sleep. It is very convenient to James Madison University.

It was good. The place is a good value and the hotel is cleanly, relatively newly refurbished with good service.

It was alright for a cheap place to stay overnight, but I don't think I'll stay there again. I had my family with me for a 1 day conference. We usually stay in Hampton Inn, but I wanted to save money. I think I would personally rather shell out the 120 dollars to stay at Hampton Inn next time, which is a family favorite. One of the major selling points was the indoor pool for the kids. The front desk gentleman and the breakfast hostess were both very friendly and very nice, but I was less impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the room. All the room details were average or less than average. I did, however, love the water pressure in the shower.

for an over night stay this hotel was fine. nothing fancy - breakfast was included - not a huge selection but ample. we would stay there again.

We had booked a room with a king bed but they would not let us have it because we had our small dog with us. Their ad said they were pet friendly, but didn't mention that you were restricted to rooms with full size beds only. This should have been noted on the hotels.com ad. Also, construction was going on in the hotel near our room and just outside our door, the workers left their tools, etc., scattered all over the place.

We stayed there because it was close to JMU. The floor we stayed on looked like it had been recently renovated. The breakfast was adequate. Would have liked to have seen a little more lower-carb selections. Staff were very friendly. Would stay there again.

Overall, it was great. Staff was friendly and courteous and tended to our needs. Rooms were clean and were a decent size. Came with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. I would recommend getting your coffee from the Starbucks down the block from the hotel as the coffee in the hotel just didn't do it for me. The continental breakfast was okay and provided the usual fare: cereal, donuts, french toast, and make your own waffles. Just wish the beds were a bit more comfortable and that the people who were drinking right outside our window (since we were on the 1st floor) were dealt with sooner than later. That incident was late at night and prevented us from getting a good night's sleep. Other than that, JMU was right around the corner which is why we chose the hotel we did. Also, the rates were a decent price. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for something right by JMU.

Everything was very good except that one of our reasons in choosing this motel was the indoor pool but the pool was not open. This was disappointing.

great location descent pricing , hot tub was out of service indoor pool wasnt that great two of main why i chose there but trip was still great!

Overall was wonderful. The front desk is alway very helpful. The lady who served the breakfast was very pleasant. I will choose this hotel again.

Beds smell terrible ,like they haven't been changed in years

Tired hotel, will not stay there again

I gave this Days Inn a "5" because it was a fabulous value for the price. (I paid via hotels.com and got a great price.) To be sure, this is not the Four Seasons, but here is what I liked: (1) Major convenience for the traveler in need of a resting spot, located right off of Exit 245 on I-81. (2) The guy who checked me in was friendly and very helpful. The lady in charge of breakfast the next morning = same. (3) The room was, for me, quite comfy. It was large, well heated, and had a big TV that served my junk-show needs. Also, easy parking.

Close proximity to JMU, very clean

The hotel is under renovation. The first room we were assigned was not clean. We requested to be moved and it was better. The breakfast was limited but the staff was gracious.

Hotel is in a great spot; close to JMU campus and the interstate. The hotel is going through renovations, which it certainly needs. The room door did not shut without some extra effort. The staff was friendly when we talked to them. Overall a pleasant stay but not worth what we paid.

The Days Inn in Harrisonburg is undergoing renovations. It probably should not be open with its current condition. Reno materials were in the halls. Bathroom parts were stored beside the building. Landscaping was dead and covered with construction dirt and debris. Electrical outlets were missing covers. Hallways were being prepped for painting. Hall carpets were clearly headed for the dump. All this at double the price for JMU Family Weekend.

great location since you can walk to everything at JMU. there was construction going on so hopefully that will be finished soon, and the place will be getting better overall scores.

The Days Inn is walking distance to the campus. It allows pets. This makes up for the lack of cleanliness, the poor customer service, and so on. They are renovating and things are in quite a bit of disarray. The safe in our room didn't work, and all I could get from the staff was "We can't help you with that." It took them 45 minutes to find our pre-paid hotels.com reservation. It was annoying, but as I said, it is convenient for Parents Weekend.

The hotel was under extensive renovations. The tub's hot water handle did not work and the water dripped. The desk clerks were very nice. Breakfast was typical of contential food. Convenient to our activities.

very good plenty of eateries and stores to get supplies

The hotel is in a convenient location to JMU. It is being remodelled and a lot of debris was brought in on the first floor. Also the pool was not working because of the remodel. Breakfast isn't much compared to other places but the staff kept the dining area very clean. All in all, not great but not bad for the price.

I have stayed her before and thought that the hotel smelled of cigarettes. This stay confirmed that. Although the rooms didn't smell of it, the halls and common areas smelled terribly. The only toiletry in the room was one bar of soap. My son forgot a toothbrush so he asked for one at the desk since there was a sign in the bathroom that said to ask if you forgot anything. They had no toothbrushes. If it wasn't so close to campus, I would not stay here again. Hopefully the facelift the exterior of the hotel is getting will translate into a better inside.

Probably the best Days Inn I've ever stayed.

Room was not ready, room was not clean,had no shampoo a quarter roll of toilet paper,the coffee maker was dirty and had nïo supplies. The carpet was dirty. The place was under construction.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The front desk clerk was working solo so was a bit overwhelmed when we checked in to our room, had a clogged toilet, no toilet paper, spiders on the headboard and 12 flies in the window! Due to the construction going on, it probably would have been better if they had closed down for a bit until the major renovations were addressed.

We originally booked this hotel due to rates and location for a travel softball team. The staff was very helpful and once I had talked to the manager, he was able to get the team in rooms together on the same floor.

What's that they say, you get what you pay for? The rate was the lowest I found when I was looking, but we paid for it in lack of comfort and service. The mattress was probably the worst I have ever slept on I woke up the third morning practically incapacitated with lower back pain and hip pain. I had to take ibuprofen just to get moving. When we moved to another motel for the fourth night, I awoke with no pain at all. I am convinced it was that mattress. The reviews I read were very polarized, either people had a terrible experience or a wonderful experience. We took our chances, and I would say somewhere in the middle of those two is what we experienced. It is undergoing extensive renovations, and I would strongly recommend that they close down until they are finished because it's creating quite a mess. The location is excellent, I will say that. The pool is tiny, and there were no fresh towels out when I used it Saturday morning. I had to ask for them. The soda machine on our floor didn't work, and the AC unit in our hallway wasn't working. So it's a combination of all these things that made it not such a great place to stay.

The hotel was undegoing major renovations. Had I known that at the time of booking, I would not have stayed there. The only quality it had worth mentioning was it's proximity to the JMU Conference Center, where I needed to set up a display booth the evening of 6/19 and attend the next two days. When I checked in and went to my room, it was dirty, door was ajar, and the AC didn't work. It took two calls and a trip back to the front desk to get my room changed. Water pressure in the shower was poor. A very poor experience.

The hotel was close to where I had class. It wasn't expensive. I have stayed there before and will most likely stay there again.
