Stay was very nice. The only problem was i used my debit card for stay and did not appriciate the hundred and five dollar a night incidental fee that was held on my account. This was very inconveinent and still is not released as of this date. all incidentals should be handled when checking out. no incendentals occured with my room.

The one bedroom deluxe suite was fantastic. Rooms were large, the view of the trees and James River were fantastic, and the even the room service was excellent. Might be nice to have ceiling fan in bedroom. Definitely plan on returning.

We arrived at 2:00AM and were greeted by a pleasant staff member; they were very fast and efficient. We arrived at our 2 bedroom condo to find a very clean, roomy and comfortable place to spend while in Williamsburg, VA. We ordered room service the next morning, the service was great and the food was great. We really enjoyed our stay that included 2 adults, and 4 children ranging in age from 10 to 17. The check out process was fast and easy. We all will definitely return again and would highly recommend The Kingsmill Resort to all.

We've stayed at Kingsmill numerous times. We love the amenities and it's a fun place for our young kids. We usually get a one bedroom suite which is plenty of room for the four of us. I love having laundry facilities in our room, our last trip we utilized it quite a bit with the messy toddlers. The only thing I would warn against is a lower floor room. They aren't bad as long as you have quiet people above you, but we had a family of elephants above us on one stay and that turned us off to being below anyone in the future.

Great resort, friendly staff, good food. Really liked the Marina pub on the river. Great atmospher and views of the river. Unbelievable BAD cable TV in room. Nice HD TV but very few channels in HD. I

We had never been to Virginia before and were very pleasantly surprised by this resort which I found on the internet. We normally stay in Walt Disney World or at a Marriot or Sheraton Hotel. We loved the convenience of the two bedroom unit with all the amenities of a fully furnished and equiped apartment. The staff even started a fire for us in the fireplace at our request. We will definitely visit here again. Also the location so close to Busch Gardens was a plus....AWESOME!!!

We took family vacation for the spring break and arrived the hotel at 3:45pm in a cold and raining March day. The reception area is very nice but the receptionist was very distance and we didn't feel be welcomed. We were told our hotel room was still not ready and we had to wait for one hour even the hotel's web site claimed the check-in time is 4:00pm. We gave one of our cell phone numbers to the receptionist and asked him to call us when the room was ready but we didn't get any call until we checked it again at 5:00pm. This time our room was ready. In addition, our double bed room was very small.

I must say that we were very impressed with the whole layout of Kingsmill Resort. It is gorgeous! I wish we had a room with a view of the water, instead of the tennis court! Our room wasn't ready when we tried checking in at 4:30pm and they graciously applied a credit to our account, which will be used for the Easter Brunch reservations we had made. The brunch was very nice and we had a table with a panoramic view of the grounds and river, which despite the pouring rain, was lovely. I do wish we had been offered a mimosa or a bloody mary with our brunch. I thought the room was very nice, not as fabulous as I expected it to be however. I thought the sofa/living room furniture to be a bit dated and drab and not very comfortable. Our daughter slept on the sleeper sofa and I didn't think it was comfortable at all. The thing that really annoyed me however was no soundproofing whatsoever! I thought there was a herd of elephants above us, jumping on and off the bed. The next morning, I could hear our next door neighbor complaining about the lack of hot water; it was as if I was in the same room. This was probably the most disappointing aspect of our stay. We went to a fabulous French restaurant nearby which I highly recommend: Le Yaca, it is just across the street from Kingsmill. I doubt we will return, simply because of the noise level, but the resort itself sure was beautiful!

The resort was nice enough. However, for the price charged, I was not thrilled to discover there is a controlled thermostat in the room. I was also expecting more of a "hotel" (i.e., conference/banquet rooms on one floor with rooms on upper floors). The rooms are different blocks of "apartments" away from the main building. I went to attend a conference being hosted there, and with a sprained ankle, being in closer proximity to the event would have been helpful.

Loved it overall - beautiful location, lots of great facilities, convenient to Wiliamsburg, Busch gardens and many other sights and sites. Only real complaint was kind of unfriendly service by three different people at the fitness center front desk.

I went there for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. I was a little disappointed because I had ordered strawberries and champagne to be there when we got there, I called and confirmed 3 times, but still it wasn't there. We had to call and confirm once we arrived at the hotel which obviously was rather meaningless at that point. However, minus that little hiccup, It was a perfect getaway from DC, and I highly recommend visiting. I hope to come back when the weather's nice so I can play some golf!

Love this hotel! Great place for a weekend getaway, even if it was too cold to play golf. Everything you need is right on-site.

it was great. The decorations of xmas was terrific. But I was not prepare for the DEERS.

Absolutely perfect stay! We went for a weekend and couldn't have been happier - fabulous!

I got the chance to sleep next too the most beautiful girl in the world in a great hotel what more could I ask for service was great house keeping even came to change the sheets at 7 pm because our son spilled apple juice in the bed

Physical conditions were very satisfactory. However, we were beneath a room that contained lodgers who were not very concerned about others in that they permitted their children to run and jump in their room, creating much disturbing noise as late as 10:30 p.m. We had a difficult time being able to relax and enjoy the relaxing environment that your resort provides.

I attended a conference here last year, and was very impressed. Therefore, when my family came up for Thanksgiving and we visited Williamsburg, I immediately reserved a room at Kings Mill. It was beautiful and I was once again very pleased with the atmosphere and hospitality.

A short drive from Colonial Williamsburg, but great for families with kids or teenagers who are interested in golf, tennis, or other activities as well as seeing the sights. Lots of options and activities. We had a family of 5 in a large 2 BR suite with a full kitchen that was perfect!

Great view of river. excellent dinner at marina.

Second time to Kingsmill and had a great time. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 4 people and a baby. The perfect amount of room although the bathroom was a little tight. Bed extremely comfortable, pullout couch so-so. Kingsmill was preparing for the LPGA tournament but luckily we got 2 rounds of golf in on the courses not involved (Planatation and Woods), also tried the spa and it was great, although my masseuse talked way too much. I love that everything on the grounds is kid friendly. The new pool opened while we were there and looked nice - nothing ever felt very crowded which was fine with me. Went to all the restaurants except James River, and most of our meals were fantastic. There is also a great restaurant just outside the resort called Maurizios which we like to stop at. Howard, the hotel Restaurant Manager, was super friendly and seemed to be everywhere we went - what a great guy! We will definitely be back next fall.

I've stayed at Kings Mill on several times, and have always been pleased. The resort has all the amenities in which I have an interest - tennis, golf. As well, the restaurants are good, if not especially memorable meals. The near by attractions are first rate. And, there are some very good restaurants in the surrounding areas. Its distant enough from the DC area to constitute a "trip", but not so far that the drive is burdensome.

Had a wonderful time that was made even better by beautiful surroundings and friendly, professional service. We recommend it highly!

The hotel is very nice and very close to all the attractions. The resort is a little spread out so if you do not stay in a building near the James River you will find the walk to the pool, restaurants and the Marina very long (you may even want to drive.) But it was fine...still a nice place to stay. On another note though if you want to book any spa treatments I highly recommend you go to the spa directly to book it. I booked a spa treatment through the concierge and they messed up the reservation. They booked it on the day we were leaving not the day I asked. When I went to the spa they said that this happens all the time!!!

We loved our stay. Our first room had a screaming baby next door. We told the front desk and they were more than accomadating, changing our room to a more convenient location near the spa. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs, the shuttle service was great. We were running late one day, jogging to the shuttle with out 10 and 7 year old, and one of the staff members in a golf cart, pulled over, and gave us a ride. We would definitely stay here again.....everything was great and the kids had a wonderful time at the pool, kids kamp and busch gardens. Highly recommended.

We would stay longer next time. We tried to extend our stay but the resort was sold out. Great family resort.

Nice rooms, but very unprofessional front desk staff. Not all of them, but the one we had to deal with was dreadful. To add, the rooms were not available until late evening causing major delay for our family to participate in a wedding.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful neighborhood. Very clean room. The only thing they need to consider is putting in a mini fridge.

Wonderful location and resort. Rooms are very nice, shower only in our room but was updated and lovely. Kids enjoyed pool though disappointed new pool had not opened yet (?August). Only complaint was that the sleeper sofa was not comfortable for kids.

Driving down to Williamsburg I was a little skeptical about our vacation. We weren't near the beach or a lake, thus I wasn't too thrilled. However, as we drove onto Kingsmill Resort, I was seriously impressed. The resort is actually a VERY well maintained, gated neighborhood. There are tons of different styles of houses off the main street. Bike paths off of those streets, playgrounds and pools all strategically placed. As you continue deeper into the community you drive by the GORGEOUS golf courses! Perfectly kept, bright green, rolling hills with houses off of them. It truly was beautiful! We checked in and drove around to familiarize ourselves with the community. There is a Recreational Center which includes the indoor and outdoor pool, complete with a full menu during the day. Attached is the Spa for tons of services (I did experience a Sugar Scrub at the Spa and it was one of the best I have received! A tennis complex with 13 courts! The Marina, which did include a little bit of "beach" that was on the James River! It was gorgeous to sit down there with the breeze looking out onto the boats, and yachts. And of course, we can't forget about the Golf Center. Three amazing golf courses! My husband and I are already planning our vacation there next year! The staff was all so friendly, the food was delicious and we were so enjoyed our time.

We were in a room with loud neighbors. When I complained to front desk the situation was dealt wih promptly and the staff was more than accomidating. Beautiful grounds and always someone to assist you. We would go again.

This resort is a great place to stay! Great location and service i was just not happy that they couldn't provide cots. But everything else was very enjoyable and i would definitely come back!
