Courtyard by Marriott Valparaiso - ולפראיסו

The hotel clerk who checked me in was very kind. Almost to the point of everkill but I'll take that over a grumpy person any day. We were there to watch Valpo baseball. You can't get much closer to the field so the location is great. The room was clean and comfortable.

Desk help was excellent. The rest of the stay was functional. Breakfast set up was a bit confusing ... food could be cooked to order, but instructions to accomplish that were not prominent. Food was okay - cost was a bit high for quality.

Had business at University. Worked out well. Friendly staff. Workout room is clean but small. Overall nice motel.

Very nice stay !! We were there to pick up the Grand kids at Valparaiso university..We will return through out the year !!1

This is a nice enough hotel for the price. While i was really only there during the sleeping hours, the room was clean, comfortable and large. Check in was swift. The desk clerks were helpful. The free wireless wi fi was of good speed and easy to use. Busy road and left hand turns into the property seemed to make it a bit difficult to get to. It was exactly as expected, nothing less. However, there was no WOW factor that would allow me to rate it higher

We loved our stay here and will definitely return. We stayed with our baby and the hotel was very quiet. We had a standard room that had plenty of room for all of our baby gear we brought with us. The breakfast was really great and the staff was so friendly. The hotel is also in a great location in Valpo.

Loved the access to outlets that were not hidden behind the desk or bed but mounted on the wall or light fixtures. Big jacuzzi style tub next to bed! Clean and comfortable!

We had a truly beautiful room! We were upgraded to the presidential suite because the hotel was close to full. Great service and beautiful space. Plus, the bed was so comfortable!

The hotel was nice we were in town for a wedding, however the bathroom ceiling had stuff coming off of it, the shower curtain was kinda nasty, and the walls are very thin we heard our neighbors in the next room and a bunch of kids above us..

I did not like a baby fridge sitting in the corner of the room. No elevator and had many steps to walk up and then down a long hall. Tile was ALL cracked in front of whirlpool. Very dated for the price.

I had room 240 at the top of the stairs. It was across from the furnace room so it was brutally hot and the thermostat was not functional. I could almost live with that by opening the window but the big problem was that the Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough to make a connection. I chose this hotel because they had Wi-Fi. I kept telling them that I had only one signal bar but all they did was tell me to reboot my computer, very nicely of course. I complained as I checked out. They were apologetic but did not offer any compensation for my inconvenience. It could be that I just had the worst room in the place. Stay away from room 240.

Nice place and ultra convenient if one has business @ Valpo U. Staff is very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Only downside is iffy quality of surrounding restaurants. I love the native Hoosiers, but they are quirky about food; they seem to regard fresh vegetables as poison that they are reluctant to inflict on their customers.

The room was spacious and clean; included a refrigerator and tv wth lots of channels. The bed and pillows were extremely comfy, but the sound of running water was strange. At first I thought it was raining outside. It turns out it was the plumbing. We could also hear talking in the next room. Fortunately, they did not stay up all night. We really enjoyed the pool area. Overall our stay was excellent.

the hotel was great but the employees what makes it the stop special. Debbie is one I remember in particular. She was working the breakfast room. There were two wedding parties filling it up to the brim. I never once saw her get frustrated or loose her smile. It seemed if I made a move to go get something she was right there asking if she couldf help us. If service awards are given I would give her one.

The staff were very courteous and helpful, the room very clean and comfortable with the exception of being able to hear the guests in the next room... through the bathroom wall...dog barking and child crying. The guest services book in the room stated there were sandwiches available through the evening, but, when I left with the car to attend my meeting, my husband went down to get a sandwich and there was nothing available, only peanut butter crackers.

The value for sleeping at a courtyard was not what was expected. Was awaken by shower in the next room The coffee bar was poorly supplied and the breakfast was pricey.

Older building but nicely redone and extremely comfortable; buffet breakfast is great (for a fee); but bear in mind that the indoor-outdoor pool is NOT HEATED and can be quite cold (spa fine; take a towel with you)! Location near Valparaiso Univ. very nice--near several restaurants and shopping. Ample parking; great linens and plenty of extras. HVAC worked well but something was a bit noisy at times. Small outside seating area near pool for relaxing. Nice staff--helpful! Recommended.
