Hotel Glasgow Monceau Paris - פריז

I was in Paris meeting a group of friends for 2 weeks of sightseeing. I have visited Paris a few times befrore and have stayed in several lproperties, so I expected the small size of the room. The staff was exceptionally helpful, courteous and let me check in early. They all spoke English and since our friends were spread out all over town, the front desk staff took time to plot out a route for us all to meet at one point. They even called antother local hotel, where some of our friends were staying, because the staff there could not speak English,The. Metro station was a nice walk about 4 blocks away, but the local bus stop was loctaed at the corner. Neighborhood had llots of restaurants, grocery stores and shops where I purchased a scarf and memory card for my camera . The hotel staff provided breakfast every morning but they let me keep personal juice and milk in their fridge. It rained off and on which caused the weather to be a bit humid. That lead to only major drawback of my stay. I stayed on the 2nd floor facing the street and kept the window open at night which resulted in hearing talking, laughing, cars honking, delivery and garbage trucks most nights until early in the morning. A positive spin is that I felt a local connection (smile). All in all, for the price and tlevel of service, the experience, I would stay there again and request a room facing the patio.

Good choice!

Conveniently located near two metro stations. Helpful staff. Small rooms but newly renovated and clean.

the hotel is under construction but working was done during the day and no noise was recognisable. dirt was around. People were SUPER FRIENDLY and really made up for the construction mess. No wireless on rooms but in the lobby.breakfast fresh and French, great variety. All languages spoken. rooms were functional, no pizzas, small but clean. after all great hotel for area. Would book again immediately. If you want to brag about the hotel, don't book it. If you want something cheap, close to sights and do not need big comfort but a bed and a shower, this is the one to go with.

The hotel was under extreme renovations when we visited. The AC was not working, the stairs were in absolute shambles (parts of the wall exposed, missing rail, etc.), the construction would start quite early in the morning, and I even saw a construction worker change his pants in the middle of our hallway when he thought no one was looking. We ended up switching hotels because the conditions were so poor. We got a rate that included breakfast for free, but I would not recommend paying for the breakfast that was served. They also advertised wifi on their website. Again, not working. The best they could do was let us sit at the front desk and use their computer. It would be insane to pick this hotel.

The hotel and staff were very pleasant and helpful. We arrived in a spot of bother since our luggage had not yet arrived 30+ hours after landing in Paris. The deskclerk offered us cool water and directions to get us started on our next sightseeing destination. We used public transportation and the staff were very helpful in finding the appropriate lines. Indeed, Bus 31 stopped about 150' from the front door and delivered us to the Arc de Triumphe at one end and the Gare du Nord (access point for the suburban train to the Charles DeGaulle airport) at the other. A Metro stop was within 3 blocks - great for walkers like ourselves. Too late we realized that the hotel was close to the Sorbonne University as we would have like to walk over and see the campus.

L'accueil a été assez froid, à mon arrivée, même si un sourire coincé est adressé. A la découverte de ma chambre, j'ai eu l'impression d'arriver dans une chaine d'hôtel où la salle de bains (enfin la douche et le lavabo) est dans la chambre. Les toilettes sont fermées par une porte (style planche de bois) face à la douche (fermée par un rideau de douche plutôt que du porte. Si vous prenez une douche de longue durée, vous aurez de la vapeur d'eau chaude dans la chambre... La VMC ne semble pas fonctionner le soir (par contre en journée elle fonctionne de manière assez bruyamment). Côté déco, cet hôtel vient d'être totalement rénové donc propre. Par contre, il est assez loin de stations de métro (prévoir au moins 5 mn de marche pour atteindre une station) mais 2 arrêts de bus sont à proximité (je n'ai pas utilisé donc je ne sais pas où mènent les bus). Cet hôtel est calme car situé dans une ruelle à proximité d'un boulevard.

L'hôtel est situé dans une petite rue très étroite sans aucune possibilité de stationner une voiture. Aucun parking dans les environs. A déconseiller aux voyageurs avec voiture.L'ascenseur est vétuste et lent. La chambre louée était petite, la salle de bains aussi, mais rénovée.

J'ai été déçu de la décoration de l'hôtel, les chambres sont très petite en plus il ya la peinture qui s' 'efffrite des murs.

Belle rénovation, dommage que la moquette soit restée, on ne sent pas qu'on ai voulu entrer dans les détails alors qu'il ne manque pas grand chose...

Supposed that you should feel safe when you put your things inside the room during the day you are out for sightseeing. I found out that my spare iPhone4s was stolen from my camera bag. I have been carrying the bag in and out the hotel the first 4 days of my stay in this hotel, and I had enough as it was very heavy, so I decided to leave it at the hotel for the last 2 days. I was wondering why there is no one cleaning up my room for the last day of staying, and once I back to Hong Kong and found that the phone is gone, can't do anything about it and had sent an email to them and get no reply at all. This hotel is far away from the metro, at least 15 mins walk.

Assez décevant pour un 3*, chambre petite, mobilier quelconque, salle d'eau petite.

foto's op internet komen totaal niet overeen met onze ervaringen.kamer 4x4 meter."bureautje"is een kistje aan de muur waarvan je de deksel kunt openklappen. in de douche kun je je niet keren. TV scheef aan de muur.geen parkeermogelijkheid bij hotel,kostte ons E42,00 voor een middag en de nacht, hier laten we het maar bij....

Les photos n'ont rien avoir avec l'état de l'hôtel!

hôtel étonnamment calme près de toutes commodités, rues commerçantes avec station de métro non loin desservant tous les grands sites de Paris. Chambre petite certes mais très propre et lit très confortable la preuve en est que nous n'arrivions pas à nous réveiller le matin!Accueil très satisfaisant, je conseillerai fortement cet hôtel notamment avec le qualité/prix proposé sur hotel.com!

Hôtel trés bruyant, mal insonorisé avec l'extérieur, et trés sonore en interne.

Chambre sympa mais très petite. Déjeuner très bien. Et accueil vraiment très bien.

Camera piccola ma bagno microscopico di difficile utilizzo per la camera n° 1 (le altre non so). Pulito. Colazione: ottima qualità e ben fornita WiFi non funzionante, possibilità di utilizzare PC dell'albergo.

we stayed there for 7 nights. the first night was very louzy because the guy gave us a room that's in very bad condition and the way he talked to us was very rude. nevertheless, thanks to the two young ladies who had been very helpful to our questions and/or requests.

Un poco fuera de precio de acuerdo al servicio creo que deberia vale unos cuantos euros menos

El Hotel esta muy bien ubicado la atencion es muy buena pero es un poco ruidoso hacia la calle.

La chambre est tres petite ,la salle de bain aussi quand à la douche on ne peut meme pas bouger !...C'est Paris ...Les oreillers sont limites .Petits dejeuners abondants ,personnel aimable et efficace.

Greit lite hotel. Rommet var veldig lite. Det gikk ikke å gå normalt rundt sengene. Beliggenheten var bra utfra pris. Dusjen kunne ikke brukes som normalt da dusjhodet ikke kunne settes i riktig stilling. Det rant mye vann ut på gulvet og det tok veldig lang tid før vannet var varmt. Internett bra og gratis. Betjeningen blide og hjelpsomme.

could be some better value for money; service and rooms are acceptable, but not more.

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Straße, einige Kilometer von den nächsten Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt. Die Lobby wurde gerade umgebaut und war mit Planen und Staub bedeckt. Dort musste auch das Frühstück eingenommen werden. Entsprechend schmutzig waren auch die Flure und Gänge. Die Zimmer waren sehr klein, aber alles Notwendige war vorhanden und soweit sauber.

Een erg leuk hotel met vriendelijk personeel in een leuke omgeving.

I forhold til prisen så kunne vi ikke forvente noe høyere standard.. Tror vi.. Vi synes det er ok å ikke bo midt i det mest støyende sentrum av en storby. Synes det er viktig å sove godt og det var stille og fint. Det var litt viktig for oss på denne turen.. Siden vi liker å bevege oss så var ikke en gangavstand på 20-25 min til f.eks. Triumphbuen og Champ Ellysses m m er ikke noe å si noe på! Kan nok finne på å anbefale til andre. Har ikke tenkt så mye over det, enda..

Nice small hotel with no thrills but clean and pretty silent rooms. The hallway is narrow and the rooms are quite small, so you don't want to spend the day in your room. However, when in Paris you definitely don't want to stay in your room, you want to take a stroll in the city. My personal disappointment was that the promised wifi didn't function well, however this seems to be a temporary inconvenience. The overall conclusion is that this hotel offers good value for money.

Litet trevligt hotell. Gode bussførbindelser till severdigheter. Generellt bra. Value for money.

chambre 1 lit double réservée, et une chambre 2 lits nous attendait. hotel en travaux de rénovation importants, non indiqués à la réservation

Ne vaut pas trois * - mais plutot deux Le site laisse supposer une proximité des Champs Elysee - il faut bien 25mm à pieds ...
