Hotel La Bourdonnais - פריז

If you are used to USA hotels, you will still be very happy with your stay. The bathroom was great! The room was clean. The location is close to the Eiffel Tower and even a little store - so that you can get some bottled water.

great hotel in a great location. Room was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Breakfast was plenty and not too bad price at 10 euros as we filled up and did not eat lunch.

This hotel was easily 3x as much as we are used to paying for middle-class American hotels, but now that we've stayed there I can understand why. The staff all spoke at least functional amounts of English, there was free WiFi in the lobby (we came to learn that internet access in Europe is not nearly as widespread as in America) and the room was my wife's favorite. We had a middle-floor garden view, complete with the stylish French double opening windows for fresh air. The shower was phone-booth sized, but perfectly functional for thin and flexible people. Oddly enough the room had a huge bath tub. That might be a big plus to other families who want/need a tub. Shop it yourself, but we did a lot of research and could not find a better location for anywhere near the money. We felt plenty safe, even walking around at 11pm.

Great hotel, great staff, great location. Family vacation with 2 boys 15 and 19. Had a large room for 4 with plenty of room. Right by the Eiffel Tower, 1/2 block from the Subway , 1 block from Rue Clar Very easy to get to all sights of Paris. Rec by Rick Steve's. only downside was according to Rick Steve's guidebook we should get free breakfast by mentioning his book. Hotel did not honor free, but reduced price to 8 euros per person.

The hotel staff was very courteous, the only complaint was the wi-fi did not have a very good connection and was difficult to maintain. The location was great, some very good food right around the corner, and a lovely walk up to the Eiffel Tower every day is something that can't be beat. There was also a metro station very close, great stay.

Stayed for two nights with two young kids and two adults. Excellent location, walking distance to the Eiffel tower, especially all the playgrounds around the park by the Tower. Room was big for Paris, two double beds, a couple of smaller desks/tables. Room was clean, hotel staff friendly, excellent English speaking and helpful. Breakfast buffet was worth it, for a family of four. Good, easy way to start the day on a full stomach! Wi-Fi in room was very good, we were on the 300 floor. Parking is a block or so away and even though we made a reservation, it was not available when we arrived, so we had to use the general parking. But I found the prices reasonable, so that was not a problem. Metro is by the parking as well, so easy to get to other parts of the city.Needed to be a bit of a contortionist to use the bathroom since the door opened/closed into the WC. Overall excellent experience and if I ever go back to Paris this will be the first place I check

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's location is great being close to a metro station and Eiffel Tower is within walking distance from hotel. Hotel room was bigger than expected with double bed for single person and clean. Bathroom was also good size with shower and hair dryer, though the shower did get the floor a bit wet. Would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others!

Nothing flashy about this place. Feels a bit on the old side. Elevator is small, slow and really had me questioning whether it was worth it or if I should just carry all of our bags up all 4 flights of stairs! Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet is small, but pretty decent for the price. Not much of a view at all unless you stick your head out of the window to peek at the top quarter view of the Eiffel. AC in the room kept things comfy. The really big pluses I thought: a) Room size. Two really nice sized beds in a good sized room, plenty of space for my wife, daugther and myself (note a bit on the drab side decoration wise); b) nice large clean bathroom; c) Really nice location. Stone thrown to Champ de Mars, a good number of restaurants are down the street or around the corner, and a grocery store almost right next door. If you want to focus your time on the Louvre, Orsay or Notre Dame, you might want to stay a little closer to that area of the Left Bank - it's a very healthy walk over to that area. Doable (I ran it), but long. I'd suggest a Batobus pass (water ferry) that leaves from just adjacent to the Eiffel and has stops at all of the major sites along the Seine. Only real knocks against this hotel - no microwaves in room and if you're not very spry - you might want to ask for a room on the 2nd floor, else you may find yourself climbing a lot of stairs.

This is a clean basic budget hotel in a wonderful peaceful location. Make no mistake it is a budget property, but hotels are expensive in Paris. We were satisfied and loved the great water pressure in the shower and the expeciallyconsidering spacious (for a European hotel) bathroom. We did see a cockroach one morning in the bathroom, but hey, that can happen anywhere and it really was sparkling clean.

The rooms are small but the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is our second trip to Paris so the location put us in close proximity to sights we did not visit the first time. Metro just across the street. Great dining near and Rue Clar is a couple of blocks away.

This hotel was perfect! rooms are huge by american standards nevertheless by european size. I had room 407 and I could see the top half of the eiffel tower from the window of the room. The staff was great with helping us find a restaurant. The location was perfect also. A metro station just about a block and a half away and the Eiffel Tower less than five minutes. Lots of little restaurants near by also. I will definitely choose this hotel the next time I'm heading to Paris

You really need to stick your head far out the room window in order to see the Eiffel Tower (as it is shown in the hotel website photo). But in a 10 minute walk, you are at the Eiffel Tower. This is a standard, old hotel in a nice neighborhood. The hotel is in need of upgrading. The room was very small and not very clean. The breakfast was extra - and totally not worth it. Much better off walking to a nearby cafe for coffee and croissants. Luckily, we only slept here and spent the rest of the time enjoying the city.

The front staff was very frendly and spoke very good english. They provided a baby crib at no add'l charge. WiFi did not work in our room, however they do have 2 computers in the lobby that can be used. Great location to the Eifel Tower.

Friendly English speaking staff. Several restaurants, a market and Metro all very close by. Room was small but typical of Paris. Comfortable and clean. Would stay here again.

The room wasn't dirty per say, but it was very dated and ran down. The proximity to public transportation and the Eifel Tower made up for it's short comings. Overall not bad, nothing special, but not to shabby.

Excellent location - near Eiffel Tower and metro station. Very easy to get around Paris from this location. The only slightly negative aspect of the hotel is that it uses punch key cards (instead of electronic) and so, can only issue one key per room.

The hotel was clean and nicer than what I expected for the price (budget) in Europe (typically small, old, and cramped). I took my American parents there to stay on their first trip to Europe and they were fine with it. The staff was very friendly and it is not far from the Eiffel Tower, but not so close that there are men selling plastic Eiffel Towers on a chain. Very good experience.

I absolutly loved it ;great quality

Fantastic location for both walking and using metro. Wifi great also. Rooms extremely hot though and only the bathroom window opened so no way to cool down (in march). Great supermarkets close by too. Would recommend although we struggled to find any good restaurants close by that didn't all serve exactly the same.

Only a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. Very basic but clean and what we needed for a good base.

Room was ok(Full size Dbl Bed) very old/dated furnishings and the Bathroom had some problems. No amenities to speak of, except for a lame 25 Euro Breakfast, so we didn't have breakfast there. The hotel was recently sold and the new owners didn't buy the restaurant. People at the front desk were helpful.

Love Paris! The hotel staff was great and recommended a fabulous restaurant that added extra perks because of the hotel!

The hotel was ideally located for our short break, being very close to a metro station, and a short walk to the Eiffel Tower, River Seine etc. The hotel also sold tickets for the Louvre, River cruises etc saving queuing at the attractions.Our family room on the 2nd floor was spacious, and though it had a window, had no view. We had not booked breakfast in advance, but on arrival found a different family rate, so had it each morning - plenty choice with continental and cooked. If we visited Paris again we'd definitely stay here again

The hotel is in a very safe location, very close to the Eiffel Tower. Short walk to a number of restuarants. The room size was fairly typical for a room in Paris (meaning not that big). TV was fine. Toilet and shower were ok. Bring Shampoo and a bar of soap as they have a dispensor on the wall that spits out pink stuff that is intended to be both but which is neither. Wifi disappointing. Only worked well from the lobby.

Good hotel to walk to many sites or to the metro. Was disappointed that our room's AC unit was broken, but they did not have any other rooms available. They brought us a fan for the night, tried to fix it the next day, and it broke again. Luckily, the weather cooled down a lot on our second day so it wasn't an issue past day/night one.

Very happy with the location, and the view of the Eifffel Tower. The closeness to the bus station was nice. It is a very pleasant atmosphere, and great breakfast to start your day .. Lots of restaurants close by..The people at the front desk were very helpful, and pleasant also.

The hotel is exactly what you would expect from a Paris 3 star. Average service and average rooms. That said, the location is great and the price was right...you are not in Paris to hangout in your hotel room. I also want to be clear that it was not bad; it just isn't great except for the location and the willingness of the front desk to give you a room with a view if you ask nicely (and in French!) If I come back to Paris with my kids we'd stay again (the quad room is good). If I return with my wife alone, we'd spend a bit more to upgrade.

The hotel was in an ideal location. It was very clean and a good size room for the family. Had a very enjoyable stay.

Everything was nice.The staff, hotel clean, affordable, good breakfast & lots of information & help given to us from staff. Short walk to Seine & Tower. Plus walking distance to wonderful cafes, shops & bars. My children enjoyed staying & myself as a single woman on holiday with them I felt very safe.

Really cute hotel with really friendly staff. Really close to the metro station and walking distance to the eiffel tower. Room was really cute. I'd say here again.But please be safe and take extra care in Paris. I got mugged twice within 24 hours of arriving, once on the metro and once by the eiffel tower. This place is also only 2metro stops away from the nearest police station (stop is called 'invalid' to get to the hotel, metro station closest is 'ecole millitaire'. enjoy but be safe!

Small but comfortable air conditioned room with 2 double beds and balcony looking at the Eiffel Tower. Nice lounge area downstairs. Free on street parking during August was a bonus. Hotel even let us lock bikes in the hotel to keep them safe. Would recommend for overnight stay close to centre of Paris.

We really enjoyed our stay, the people were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was great. We wish we stayed longer!
