אין כספת בחדר וגם לא מקרר בעבור מלון 4 כוכבים!!!!!!

מיקום מאוד נוח. מרחק הליכה מהרבה אתרים עיקריים. צוות עוזר מאוד. מזנון פתוח 24 שעות וגם פאב ליד. חדרים קטנים אבל נקיים. עיצוב יכול לעבור קצת שדרוג.

המלון הזה בעל מיקום מרכזי וממש ממול לקו רכבת תחתית עיקרי, דבר שהפך טיולים בעיר לעסק פשוט. החדר היה קטן אבל עדיין הרגיש נקי והיה די ויותר מקום לשנינו. התלונה היחידה שלי היא שלחדר האמבטיה היה ריח של עישון. התאכסנו בקומה ה-19 ובחדר "לא מעשנים" אך כנראה שמערכת האוורור לא תפקדה כל כך טוב. הקפדנו לסגור את הדלת והחדר היה בסדר גמור, לא הרחנו שם כלום. המלון היה קצת ישן גם, אז המסדרונות היו קצת מיושנים, אבל החדר משודרג בצורה נחמדה. הייתי ממליצה יחסית למחיר ומיקום.

התאכסנתי כאן לאחרונה (אביב 2012) והיו לי בעיות עם החשבון. בקבלה שאלו אם אני רוצה לדבר עם המנהל. עניתי "כן" וביקשו ממני לחכות. פקיד הקבלה אמר שהעניין נסגר ושהמנהל לא יכול היה לדבר איתי. הייתי לחוץ מבחינת זמן ונאלצתי לעזוב. יש המון מקומות יותר טובים להתאכסן בהם בניו יורק.

מיקום ממש מעולה. בעלי ואני נוסעים לניו יורק בכל שנה כדי להשתתף בכנס במרכז הכנסים Javits. זו השנה השניה שבה בחרנו להישאר ב New Yorker וזה היה נהדר. מיקום מאד נוח, הליכה יומית מאד מהירה ונוחה עבורנו למרכז הכנסים. אנחנו השתכנו בסוויטה בקומה ה 39, והנוף היה מרהיב! החדר היה מאד מרווח, נוח ונקי. אהבנו גם את ה Keurig בחדר ואת כל סוגי הקפה והתה. הצוות גם היה מאד מועיל, כיוון שהיו לנו מספר חבילות שנשלחו למלון לפני הגעתנו, והן היו מוכנות וחיכו לנו ברגע שעשינו צ'ק אין. בסך הכל היינו מאד מרוצים מהשהייה שלנו, ונמשיך להזמין כאן בשנים הבאות!

אזור מאד תיירותי, ואווירה סטרילית. יחד עם זאת המיטה הייתה נוחה והקירות היו עבים והעניקו אטימה טובה מהרעש. אני בשום אופן לא אחזור.

ממש נהניתי משהותי במלון New Yorker! החדר היה מעולה, נקי ונוח והנוף היה מדהים. נחמד שהיה מקרר החדר. הצוות והשוער היו מעולים. אני מתכוון לשהות כאן שוב בעתיד!

מיקום מעולה - רחוב אחד מתחנת Penn, עשר דקות הליכה מהאמפייר סטייט בילדינג ו/או theater district. תחושה נחמדה שם - ארט דקו ישן ומהודר. מזנון טוב מאוד (Tick-Tock diner) פתוח 24 שעות ליד הלובי. נוף יפה מאוד (אם אתם בקומה גבוהה מספיק). חדר נקי ונוח, אך קטן. הם גבו על אינטרנט אלחוטי.

המלון היה במיקום נהדר לכמה מהמקומות שחייבים לראות בניו-יורק - הייתי ממליץ על המלון הזה לכל אחד שמבקר בעיר הנהדרת הזו.

שהיתי כאן חמישה ימים וזה התאים לנו מאוד. אוהב את תחושת הווינטג'' של המלון הקלאסי הזה. החדר שלנו היה בגודל הגון - אל תצפו לחדרים מרווחים בניו יורק. סיפק את צרכינו. גם מכון הכושר היה הולם ונקי. אי אפשר למצוא מיקום יותר טוב ממש ממול למדיסון סקוור גארדן ו- shopping ++. הייתי שוהה כאן שוב בביקורי הבא לניו יורק.

My boyfriend and I went to New York for the weekend to see the sights, as my boyfriend had never been to NYC before and I had never stayed in the city. Not having any comparisons to other NYC hotels, I would say that the New Yorker was a nice place to stay. I enjoyed the decor of the rooms (art deco) and our room was clean. We had one issue with the air conditioning which we noticed the first evening. It was around 7-8pm and we called the front desk and someone came up no more than 15 minutes later to check it out. He confirmed the unit wasn't working and could not be repaired that night. After about 1/2 an hour, a bellhop came up and we were escorted to another room which was the same type and just as clean, but with a working air conditioner. I was pleased how quickly they handled the situation. I have a service animal (which I informed them ahead of time) and we had no trouble with them allowing her in. They were even nice enough to upgrade us to a larger room to give us more space for the dog! The neigborhood is nice, close to Penn Station and a number of subway lines with plenty of businesses around. We took the bus up from DC and it dropped us off and picked us up less than a block from the hotel. Obviously it is a bit pricey, but what NYC hotel isn't? I would definitely stay here again!

Great place...

I like the location of The New Yorker, since it is close to the theatre district but not in it; it is relatively close to the school my son is attending, and I feel safe at the hotel. I believe like most NY hotels, the rates are too high, especially without a refrigerator, but I like the size of the rooms better than most in NY.

Room view was amazing as we got upgraded to a view of the city and the Empire state building in front of us, we couldn't stop looking out the window every time we came back to the room. The hotel is a little dated and needs some maintainace but nothing to be put off by. Room was on the small side but expected in NYC. Only thing to annoy me was we had a late flight leaving so checked out the hotel and left the bags with them, they charged us a follar each bag to hold, which I thought was silly as I've never heard of any hotel charging for this before. Other then that it was a good hotel in a perfect location for shopping and seeing.

Staff was super helpful. Fitness facility is the best I've encountered at a NYC hotel-- as good as gyms I've paid for at home. Nice deep porcelain tub with a non-slippery textured bottom. On the downside, walls are paper thin so when my neighbor got up early and took a shower I was up too. Plumbing in bathrooms is old, so shower temperature varied depending who else was showering around me. Nice convenient location, Would definitely stay there again.

This is a Statuesque looking Art Deco styled Hotel , certainly not a cheap place to stay, it has small rooms that appear to be the norm for New York. No coffee / tea making facilities available in the cramped "Metro Queen Room " . Nothing at all wrong with it overall clean, safe but I feel that for the money and room size it is expensive. Tic Toc diner attached quite good but gets busy early morning.

It was a nice room. The location was great. Rooms tidy and comfortable. Be warned the little guy outside who hails the cabs for you is rude and if you dont tip him for doing nothing, then he gets mouthy with you. We hailed our own cabs (which is not hard in NY). He has these big glasses on that look ridiculous so be warned! Also, we called a till free number from our room, but somehow were charged?? So dont touch the phone otherwise they will find a way to charge you.

We took Amtrak into city and only had to walk 2 blocks to get to hotel. My daughter wanted to go to Chinatown and subway was right across the street. Easy walk to Times Square and American Girl Place. Hotel room was clean comfortable and remarkably quiet! We could not hear city noises during the night. We had busy days and were able to sleep comfortably. Loved the big old style tub and water pressure and temperature were a welcome change from most chain hotels. We will stay again! Oh yes and staff was delightfully friendly.

Although conveneient to Penn Station, The New Yorker is well overpriced for the quality (or lack thereof). The rooms are very, very small and the housekeeping annoying - they knocked on my door 3 times each of the 2 days I was there, even when I had the "still dreaming" sign on my door. The television did not work properly. Room service comes in a cardboard box with a tin takeout bowl for your cereal with a coffee cup of milk. One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had and adamantly do not recommend the New Yorker to anyone

The hotel was in an excellent location and within easy walking distance to the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Times Square and Maceys. Our bedroom was clean with great fixtures in line with the age of the hotel. My only criticism would be the size of the room, but we spent so little time there, it didn't really matter. The Diner was also fun!

If you just want a place to rest your head for the night and you are looking for a great location close to Time Square, this place is fine. This is not, however, a four star hotel. It's an older building that really needs a make over and top to bottom scrub down. I didn't care for the unsightly stains in the grout and one of the walls. Hotel service is good...very helpful and polite. They sent housekeeping to clean the stains, but I shouldn't have had to ask for that service. Be very careful when you shower. The temperature is all over the place...very hot to very cold and constantly changing. Don't stand directly under that shower head. Overall, I think you get what you pay for. I got a great rate, but not the room environment I wanted. If you want a four star hotel, spend a little extra money.

Front desk is rude and brusque. Coming from the airport, I was longing for TSA courtesy after dealing with the front desk here. Rude and condescending. And it wasnt just my initial agent Gabina. Saw a few others practically yelling. The new trainees were much better. Luckily, there was an express checkout so I didn't have to deal with them again after the check-in experience. If they replace the front desk with automated check-ins, I would rate it a notch higher.

We took AMTRAK into Penn Station, which made the trip the easiest into the city in a long time. Then our hotel was practically on top of the Penn Station. We were able to check into the room early. The room was small but nice. The hotel was walking distance to almost everything, and the subway was right out side the door. The only thing I thought was lacking was no coffee maker in the room. But I guess with a Starbucks and DD on every street corner you won't need it. I just like to get up and have a cup while I wake up before going out into the world...

We had tickets to a show at MSG. So the proximity of the hotel to the Garden was perfect. The next day we checked out in the morning, but wanted to roam around before getting our car. The hotel checked our bag for the day at a charge of $2.00. The bellman were pleasant and helpful. Something we found to be very helpful was the parking garage The New Yorker works with. It was only $35.00 for 25 hours. Overall, The New Yorker is a hotel with a classic feel with courteous staff

The public areas and the rooms are looking very dated.

Great location, old hotel with very small rooms (typical for Manhattan). Check-in service was painfully slow. Overall, a good stay.

This hotel is in great location, it's a short walk to the empire state building, and Penn Station. It's very easy to get around the city from this hotel. The room itself is very small, the bed takes up most of the room, the bathroom is also small. It's comfortable and clean, but the location for us was the best thing about it. The WiFi struggled in our room, and we had to go out into the halls to actually get a signal.... so that was painful.

Second visit in less than a month and again we were thrilled with our stay. We stayed mon April 8th. What a nice surprise to get a free upgrade to a suite, room2244...lovely! A living room with a gorgeous outdoor balcony that was HUGE! Two bathrooms that were spotless with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Two flat screen TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The bed was super comfortable as always. The Tick Tock diner in the hotel is open 24hours & serves great diner fare for reasonable prices in NYC. Overall a great stay.

Nice hotel in a prime location. We arrived in Penn Station and walked a block. If you arrive by train, you can't get a better location. The concierge showed us how to navigate the subway. There is an airport transportation desk, which worked out great. We had a town car waiting for us at 5 AM, and the cost was the same as a cab. I would stay there again.

This is a very central location with 5min walk to Maceys.Also very close to the Empire State Building. I found staff friendly and helpful at all times.The lobby was nice and relaxing and nice fresh decor also. I would stay there again.

It was comfortable, the building is fabulous and the design supercool, but everything was super old, needs a facelift. My room was pretty small, and the bathroom tiny, it was clean, but everything is super old and in need of updating.

Although room maybe on the small side only use it to sleep not live in .Hotel is close to Penn station very convenent if arriving by train. next to madison square gardens and not far from Braodway great location.

I was in New York on business and chose this hotel for my stay. Glad I did. Great location, amazing view from my room. Very clean. The only improvement I would suggest is a nicer staff at the front deskdesk

I am in shock that this is a four star hotel and the reviews are as high as they are. The room looks like it hasn't been updated since 1970. The bathroom desperately needs updates.
