Red Roof Inn Secaucus - Meadowlands - NYC - סקאוקוס‏

The rooms were clean, but the Wi-Fi that was supposed to be free cost 60 cents a minute. The room was barely big enough for a single king bed.

The main lobby is probably the nicest part. The pictures are misleading. The room was incredibly damp and sleeping was sticky and uncomfortable. Half of the lights in my room did not even work. The bathroom fan made a terribly grinding sound that never went away. A lot of the molding was falling from the baseboards. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and was soaking wet every morning. And the WiFi was TERRIBLE!! Took 8 minutes to load a single page. The room was cheap and boy you get what you pay for.

Felt right at home. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Never had an issue when asked for additional towels. Looking forward to my next visit.

Good

Ever since the Red Roof Inn chain started making this "next gen" change it's an entirely new experience. The rooms are clean and contemporary and look like a 3 or 4 start room at Red Roof rates. It's a nice hotel. Location is ok we tend to stay in Secaucus whenever we go to NY and just take the NJT.

Very bad the wifi service disconnect in all moment

This is my third time staying at this hotel. I find the rooms comfortable and clean. For the price it's well worth it. I would rate this hotel at 3 to 3 1/2 stars.

The hotel condition is behind Zero. Everything can full apart every min. The Door the Bath. No maintenance .But a great location. 12 min from the city including the time to cross the tunnel. Very cheap price.

My friends and really enjoyed the location. And we loved Sinbad restaurant across the street, excellent place to eat...shout to the owner.

over all I was happy, but would like more and or better towels,, two very thin towels does not work for two adult women.. also no blankets. and when we ask,, they acted like they did not understand what a blanket was and kept trying to give us sheets. so we were cold every night. but over all I would stay again,

Clean, modern rooms. On the water. Dunkin Donuts, Wendys, and cafes across the street. Affordable!

Everything was Ok, except the pillows.They were excessive hard. I requested a softer ones and after two days I got two about the same. This is our only complain.Next visit to same hotel we will take our own pillows..We go to N.J. every 3 or 4 months.Can we get some good rates for our next visit around Aug, then in early Dec. and so on.

Overall, the Inn is not bad. Summary:The rooms are remodeled and look good; except for the showers and the overall noise. The good: flat screen TV, comfy bed and pillows with clean sheets, new carpet and floor in the bathroom area, Dunkin Dohnuts across the street, and the price is right ($240 for 3 nights) The bad: the tub looks old and grungy, and the tub floor had this patch placed over most of it to make it look new, but it looks and feels terrible. The place is noisy - I could clearly hear everyone's conversation as they walked by, and sirens from the street felt like they were in my room, and there were a few sirens the first night. I don't think there's any soundproofing in the rooms. Conclusion: it's not the worst place to stay, but I would look for other options first.

It was terrible. Dirty, no closet so not good for a multi night stay.Location is very shady. Poor service.

Probably the best two things I can say about this hotel: 1) I have already recommended it to friends, and 2) I would definitely stay there again when visiting NYC or the northern NJ area. Actually, a 3rd perk too, is that there is a Dunkin Donuts across the street! ;-)

Please make available the exact route facts to arrive from Rt 17. (logical, local, tested, and verified.) Within 1/2 mile of hotel is complicated.

It was a nice hotel we enjoyed it the only thing the customer service at the front desk wasnt good at akl i went to check in and stood there for like10 minutes before sonebody helped us.

Very nice hotel, was not as close to the center of the city as it was stated but it was in a very nice location and it was nice and clean. Very close to restaurants and shopping center.

The staff we great. The room was clean and the beds are so soft.

When we checked in the lady at the front desk was very friendly. The room we were given was on the second floor. The ceiling was leaking in the bathroom as if someone above us had taken a shower and the water had leaked through the floor and the toilet did not work at all. I went to ask for a different room preferably on the third (top) floor and she was very helpful did not hesitate at all. Makes me think it's happened before. You could tell in the second room that it had been renovated recently. Overall I was impressed with the service. I would stay there again for a short stay, we stayed for 3 nights. The location is good, easily accessible to the highway and a 20 minute drive to New York City.

Bed was very comfy

Availability to bus route to the City was great. Loved being able to walk to bus line. Size of the room was a shock but the friendliness and helplessness of staff made up for all the faults.

Comfortable and afforadable

For the price, this cannot be beat. The slightly weathered exterior is deceiving because my room was newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Very good all around. Very convenient to Manhattan (12 minutes to the NYC side of the Lincoln tunnel). The nicest Red Roof I have experienced. My room facing Route 3 West was noisy ("far" side of the H-shaped building). Simple, standard ear-plugs fixed that, and I could still hear my cell phone alarm with no problem!

Stayed at the hotel while visiting family. Front desk staff was friendly and courteous, as was a maintenance man and maid I encountered. The room was nicely renovated. The rest of the hotel retains it's original look. Only issue was that the maid was not consistant in replenishing the room, sometimes we got all the towels, soap etc, sometimes only part. Area of the hotel has typical northern NJ industrial look. There's a small shopping center accross the street with a couple of fast food establishments. Motel is located just a few minutes away from gas stations, restaurants and shopping. I would stay again

You get what pay for...secure, clean enough, pleasant desk staff, minutes to Manhattan and Newark. For a solo business trip it is okay...wife would want something nicer.

The room was a good place to crash at the end of the day. That's what we were looking for. If you are looking for top notch service or extensive amenities, look somewhere else. You have to go to the front desk if you need towels or anything else, but it is an easy, short walk. There is access to NJT bus lines about half a mile south, and several restaurants are located directly across the street. Overall, I was pleased with our stay, but I new where to set the bar.
