The quality of this hotel is extremely poor for the price I paid. Any other hotel with this quality in this area would have cost about one fourth of what I paid. One of the hotel staff at the check in counter was a bit rude during check in. I was highly unsatisfied and would never recommend this dump to anyone.

We were in town for the Brantley Gilbert concert and stayed at the Red Roof Inn..It was a perfect location to the Schott..The lady at the front desk was very polite. I think pretty much everyone stayin there was goin to the concert so it was a little loud and crazy but aslong as u were there for the same reason it was fine. This hotel is a perfect location for any Ohio State sporting event...I'm sure it sells out fast...

Comfortable beddings and shower!

From the rock hard bed and pillows to the lack of overall disgustingness of the room, this hotel offers nothing but disappointment. The $59 a night price tag was no deal for this place. No staff for assistance. Plexy window separating you from the attendant where you check in. No amenities. As in zero. They didn't even have coffee in the lobby in the morning. Worse than Bate's Motel

We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Red Roof Inn OSU North. We were in town for a dog show and the location was very convenient to the Expo Center. The area felt very safe. The hotel was adjacent to a shopping complex with every kind of eatery you could imagine as well as Krogers, Big Lots, & a beverage/party store. We asked for and received a first floor room with hdcp parking at our door. Grassy areas were very convenient for our dogs. I believe our room was supposed to be ADA accessible. Not sure it would meet all criteria but it was sufficient for my needs. The tub had grab bars and the toilet was higher. The bathroom was large with a wider door, but I noticed the sink (located in bedroom) was high and would be difficult for a wheelchair. The room furnishings were average with some nice details that I didn't expect (coffee maker, newer TV, hair dryer, desk area and nice office chair). We were satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and bed linens considering the very reasonable price we paid for the room. Housekeeping made up the beds and replaced the towels for us, even providing additional toiletries. WiFi worked just fine the entire time we were there. My bed could have used a bit of memory foam to make it a little more comfortable but it was very manageable. Check in was a very pleasant experience and we were not even required to leave a credit card on file! We will definitely return here for our next visit.

Can't best this hotel for the price. Nothing fancy but rooms were clean and staff was friendly.

Great Proximity to OSU, good restaurants within easy walking distances. Room older and clean, first room smelled like very strong smoke smell.

I stayed in a superior king room for 3 nts midweek. The room was comfortable, although the bed rolled to the middle and the pillows were too hard. The desk area was good for working. Housekeeping was effective and unobtrusive. Water pressure was acceptable. The bathroom is tiny. My favorite thing about this hotel was its location. It's on the corner of Olentangy River Rd, which is a good connector to the campus as well as Hwy 315. Right next to the hotel are Applebee's, McDonald's, a pizza place, Big Lots, Kroger, and a gas station. All it lacked was a Starbucks.

Rate was a good price for a no frills place to stay. In a college town, I suppose you can expect noise throughout the night, and the coming/going in the room next to us lasted until at least 4 am. My wife and I decided not to book another motel that has outside entry rooms. We'll pay a little more for a more relaxing stay. Pet friendly policy was nice. No hassles. Found extra charges on our credit card when we returned home for a room safe we did not use or want.

Rooms need up dating. It was cold and the blanket might as well have been missing. Their computer problems became mine as they expected me to wait until they figured out the issues, at 11pm that did not sit well. It was also too noisy. Definitely not worth the price.

Hotel is at a very busy intersection, so street noise is heard in the evening and starts back up around 6:00 AM. Kids running in a second floor room sounded like stampede. The bed and linens were clean, but pillows are hard and uncomfortable. The room was basically clean. Although, there was a spray of something on the outside of the bathroom door that looked like pop syrup. Desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Many restaurants in walking distance or short drive. I also found easy access to ATM's in the area. A very short drive to the convention center. A value for the money.

The location near campus was perfect for my purposes and the hotel was very clean but well worn. The desk staff was helpful with directions, putting me on a high floor because I am a light sleeper. For the price it can't be beat.

better than expected

For the money, a good value: clean and in a great location.

Stayed overnight before a concert at Schottenstein...was able to walk 15 min to the show! Not to mention the restaurants across the street. Great value for the price.

Brand new redesigned room. They should all look and feel this nice. What a change from how the hotel use to be years agao. Job well done!

The room had cob webs in the corners of the window and ceiling. The covers on the light fixtures in the bathroom were dirty and cracked. The paint was peeling off of the heater in the bathroom. The room was very noisy so it was difficult to sleep even though I was very tired.

There was a dead cockroach on the floor, no tissues in the room, no hair dryer, and cigarette marks on the blanket.

Stayed for two nights, and both nights there was a bunch of students having a room party down the way from our room. Very noisy. Probably won't stay at this hotel in the future even though it was convenient to surrounding activities.

Rooms were nice for price. Staff was very courteous. I would definitely staff here again.

It ws ok for the time I apent there. Could have had more choices on the TV

it was clean, warm and the bed was comfortable--all i need when traveling :)

My expectations were not set very high ; however for the cost, location and free wi-fi, I knew we could manage for this very brief stay. The free wi-fi was mandatory for my stay, as I work from the road. When I called the front desk to ask them how long their wi-fi would be down, her reply was" I don't know, we've had problems for a while now, we can't seem to make any headway with our provider, you can call them if you'd like, maybe you can get somewhere with these people!" I don't believe as a guest I'm paid to do this employees' job for her. So unable to do my orders on line at midnight, cost me an approximate $2000.00.

Inexpensive, plenty of places to eat nearby-convenient to major highways

Good except - Roof overhangs dripping water; difficult navigating to - from car without getting wet. Access roads to hotel somewhat confusing.

Great value for the money. I travel for a living. Have stayed in Columbus a number of times and had some very harrowing experiences. I reluctantly tried the red roof at ohu and was pleasantly suprised with the very nice, clean, fresh room.

This hotel is fine if you are looking for a cheap hotel and don't mind dirt. The room was not clean! Dirt all over the floor. The worst part was climbing into the bed, and finding a bug crawling on the sheets!! It was only a stink bug, but I am sorry, I did not get any sleep, that is just nasty! When I went to check out I saved the bug and took it to the front desk, just to be informed that there was nothing they could do because the room was booked through expedia, but would be passed on to the manager, never heard anything from anyone! Will NEVER stay at this hotel again.a

It was very nice, I was satisfied and will stay again.

I have stayed here several times because it is close to where I am working. I have been in a different room everytime. However I have never been able to book a king size room. I think they only have a few. Some of the rooms have very comfortable beds while others desperately need new mattresses. It needs to be updated. They have remodeled a few rooms on the first floor next to the office. But they need to do the whole hotel. It is good for the price and close to OSU.
