Great location, good people, definitely stay again.

Checkin Staff were friendly. Free breakfast was average. Shower curtain had mold. Room had slight 'off' oder. Bath tub had 'bubble' in the flooring which made it difficult to maintain balance.

Hotel was in a good location. The beds were a little uncomfortable, ant the tv was tiny, and had a bad picture. Overall it wasn't that bad i have stayed in much worse.

I would not stay here again unless it was the only choice I had....

The staff were very nice. The motel use to be part of a chain. It is a bit run down, but okay if what you are looking for is a clean room to place your head down at night. We were instructing all day and just wanted a bed. For that it was fine. We were in a smoking room and there were burn marks on the bathroom vanity and bathtub. But that was from disrespectful previous customers. The motel, for their part, kept the room clean. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. Not a bad place.

Bathroom was dingy and not updated at all. Yellow lights. Scratches on the doors and mildew on the shower curtain. Ice machine is by the lobby. All outdoor rooms which there is no picture of.

During our stay, the hotel was reasonably clean and the staff was not an issue; however, we had a HUGE issue with the safety in the area. Firstly, there were no chain locks on the doors, a definite neccesity in the motel setting and area. During our one night stay, at 4:05am our door was beeing banged on and rattled by some blazing drunks. We looked outside the window and they had hoodies and metal bars...as if they were ready to rob us of everything. Luckily, when we threatened to call the police, they left. Overall, terrible experience and do not reccomend.

Really run down.. queen size sheet on king size bed kept coming off the corners.. cigarette burns everywhere in the room including the linens.. and on and on.. front desk was friendly though..

Hotel was clean but run down and did not look like the picture. wifi did not work.

Thought it was great for the price. A major upgrade from the previous ownership when I stayed 2 years ago.

First knew that I was in trouble by the outside of the dilapitated building that looks really run down. then I went in my room and was horrified. Bugs in the light fixtures, stains on the bed, cigarette burns in the bed spread, bathroom had mold in showerand some strange stains near toilet...Never ever never ever stay here...ever...I'd rather sleep in an alley way...that would have been cleaner...

The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful and printed out directions for us to the train station and train schedules.

All the people were very pleasent and helpful. room was comfortable.

I wouldn't recommend staying here.

It was helpful that the Poughkeepsie Inn was close enough to our visiting site so that we could take a break for naps in the afternoon.

Nothing special about this place. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Clean as far as I could tell but with pervasive smell of cleaning products (or air freshener?). Standard motel layout with one picture window looking out over your car, so you have to draw the curtains when you're undressed. The usual depressingly awful breakfast items. Old tube TV, but I didn't try it, so I don't know about programming and picture quality.

We wanted a king size bed and we had to be put in 3 different rooms because the first 2 had problems

hotel is under new management the staff is very nice the room was clean but verrrrry run down terrible beds burn holes in blankets water stains in ceiling , in dire need of bieng painted and was 10 dollars more then days inn in fishkill ny which has a gym was clean and very nice with comfortable beds .

The bedspread was stained and dirty. The sheets had holes in them. The towels are kinda scratchy! I think Barton Fink stayed here.

We were there for my son's graduation. The owners were VERY NICE. Breakfast was very basic, doughnut, 24 hours coffee, tea, bagel, When you turn the hotwater, cold water comes out, and when you turn knob for cold water, hot water comes out. The bathroom knob is not working, but they fixed it right away. The microwave is far from the outlet.

`This had to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I think it is part of a welfare housing group. It smelled terrible. To be honest , I am surprised its even listed on Hotels.com I booked 2 nights. Didnt even stay. Just handed my key in and left. The star rating was a total joke. Should be ashamed to even offer it !!!!!!!!!! I thru my money away and just left.

The room smelled of mildew and skunk. The DVD player was bolted to the furniture using iron bands. The armchair was torn, shabby, dirty, and generally disgusting. The bathroom fan sounded like a prop plane starting up and it was filthy. The box spring was uncovered and gross. The lamps were dusty. The blanket was terribly scratchy. Luckily, the sheets were clean, and the bathroom was relatively clean, or we would have slept in our car.

Outward appearance made us apprehensive to go in but staff was very nice, room was outdated and a little run down but clean, and the breakfast was fresh and outstanding for what we needed!

No restaurant as listed in amenities No hair dryer, ironing board, iron Comforter and blanket had holes in them Mold on exterior of shower curtain TV remote was not in the room-had to call the desk and go to the office to pick it up Would never stay there again.

IF YOU ARE A BOUNTY HUNTER AND IN SEARCH OF A FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE THIS IS PROBABLY A PLACE YOU WANT TO CHECK OUT -OR INTO IT COULD BE GOOD FOR BUSINESS.. THIS IS A MOTEL NOT AN INN IT IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN NEARBY HOTELS BUT ONCE YOU EXPERIENCE IT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH THE DISTINCT FEELING THAT 'LIFE IS SHORT' AND "I PROBABLY SHOULD NOT HAVE STAYED THERE'

The Hotel is conveniently located to Marist College, that's why we booked it. The bed is pretty comfortable, but the blanket is very thin and worn. 24 hour offering of tea and coffee in the lobby was nice and the staff was very friendly.

My wife very unhappy and says no to any return. Staff OK but not the friendliest.

This hotel is ok but dated. I was little bit dissatisfied with furnishings. They were old and dated & the TV convertor was bolted to the furniture with plumbers tape. better choices in area but stay if you have to.

I would not recommend this hotel. The condition of the hotel was not good. Mold, etc.

The Poughkeepsie Inn is a single-story motel off a commercial strip. Each room has one picture window overlooking the sidewalk in front of the room (and your car). So modesty requires either that you stay fully dressed, or that you close the opaque curtains -- there are no translucent sheers. The room seemed clean enough, but smelled strongly of some cleaning / disinfection compound. There was plenty of hot water. A pleasant surprise: sheets were cotton. Continental breakfast was very basic. I didn't try the TV. Overall: cheap and pretty clean, but depressing.

My Wife and I stayed in August, 2011. Checking in, the front desk person was short and more concerned about talking on her cell phone than checking us in. Seems the day attendants are both like that. Too busy on the internet or cell phone and disgusted when we interupted them to ask a question. The room was clean, except for the cigarette burns on the bathroom sink. A/C worked great! The bed will soft and very low, was comfortable and we slept through the night. Continental breakfast was a nice surprise. Overall, for the price, we managed to get through the one night. In an emergency, we would stay again.

Okay for one night stay. This is the old Econo Lodge, name still appears throughout hotel. Not a bad odor but not pleasant either. Front desk reps were very nice

We usually stay in the cheapest room available. When you do that you can't expect five star service. The room was clean and comfortable. The WiFi was marginal. Overall we were pleased.

This hotel had a very nice staff, but the other guests tended to congregate and party in the parking lot. The refrigerator did not work and there was no iron in the room. The sheets were threadbare and there was a hole in the comforter. The TV was tiny, and the bathroom cleanliness was a bit sketchy. I think we would have gotten better accommodations at about the same price at a Super 8.

When we pulled up to the motel on the afternoon ofa 100+ F day, I was worried because the outside needs some spiffing up. However, the room was clean, basic and nice. The continental breakfast was great and the TV room where you eat it was very nice. The staff was great and you can't beat 24 hour free coffee! It was well worth the price. The outside needs painting and some maintenance, but otherwise very nice.
