Best Western Historic Frederick - פרדריק‏

Room was nice, clean, and big. Bathroom is real small. Great breakfast! You have to try their waffles...they are the best!!!

Hotel suited the needs of my stay and the simple continental breakfast was sufficient for a get-me-over breakfast. Will definitely stay if need be, in the future.

We were quite satisfied with our room and the service. The front desk staff was very friendly. The amenities in the room were excellent. So all in all it was a good stay.

The registration process was quick and simple. The room was size was not bad at all, in fact a bit on the large side. I never felt cramped...except when trying to use the bathroom. The toilet and tub are located in a closed door room while the sink is in the room hall. the tub/toilet room is soooo small, I literally had to step into the tub to close the door. There is maybe 4 inches of clearence from a 24" wide door to the front of the toilet. No room to get in and close the door. When I went to take a shower in the morning, the first tube on the stand in the hall was conditioner so I grabbed the other one without looking and wedged my way into the shower. You guessed it...two conditioners and no shampoo. Another big con was that the walls are pencil thin. I had a bunch of teenage girls in the room next to me and it wasn't that they were overly loud...just running the hairdryer until 1:00 a.m. and talking in a normal tone...but it sounded as if they were in the room with me. A fellow travelor had the same problem, sharing a wall with the ice machine. The breakfast was the standard "hotel fare" of prepared foods + waffle machine. The eating area was rather small, only about a dozen tables so you felt obligated to eat and run and a number of guests were taking their breakfasts to their rooms due to lack of seating. Finally, had a stain on the bed linen that was clearly the reminants of someone's prior visit...disgusting.

The hotel was clean, and in a perfect location for our trip! The breakfast was great, and really good for what they offered!!! For the amount of money we paid to stay, we def got our money's worth!! The fridge was a little noisy and there is absolutely no sound proofing from room to room, or to the hallway, but if other guests are courteous, its less of an issue!!!

The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was fine, and for the low price it was a great value. I would definitely stay again!

it was perfect for the one night i needed it for; though the bathroom was somewhat small, as noted by others, the sink was in the main room, which was fabulous. the continental breakfast was quite limited, but the staff was pleasant, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a blow dryer, mini fridge, and coffeemaker, and it was conveniently located to the college we were visiting. i recommend asking to be away from the highway side of the hotel, and guests rooms that are more noisy. my stay was pleasant, and, i would stay there again.

Clean room, staff was very nice, had a few hiccups when first checking in. First room they gave me door would not work then they switched me to another and then the light wouldn't turn on aboce the sink. Called front desk and asked them to replace it and they sent someone within 5 min. Overall good hotel and easy to find.

Clean and in a great location in its convenience to both the highways and historic downtown. The two drawbacks were a very small bathroom and no elevator. We were on the second floor and had to carry all our luggage up a flight of stairs and down a very long hallway from the main desk. The hotel has another door that was much closer to our room, but we had already unloaded all our stuff onto a luggage caddy before the desk clerk notified us of the need to walk upstairs.

There was nothing wrong with the place . Decent breakfast , price was right , ok location

I'd recommend that if you stay here you take some silicone sealant to deal with the 5mm gaps down the side of the air conditioning units, it was -8 celcius when I stayed and the heater was constantly on due to the drafts. It also makes it hard to work at the desk as you're getting blasted by the heater all the time. The food was ok, but give the cooked breakfast a miss. There is a good Vietnamese restaurant on the adjoining shopping area though.

We were very pleased with the room, the service, the breakfast buffet and the location. Several previous raters felt that this was a poor site. We could not disagree more.The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good for a buffet meal. We will stay here again if we stay in Frederick.

the first room they put us in was horrible dirty falling apart outdated i complained they put me and my family in another room they gave me a free night stay at any of there hotels .also the hallways smelled very bad ya wont stay there again . the people working there where very nice and helpful

Pro: we were warm Cons:beds were bad We were told breakfast was till 1030 ended at 945 Housekeeping left our door ajar after cleaning or I should say attempting to clean room. House keeping woke us up at 8am pounding on the door. Deactivated our door key at 9 am after having walked around the building in the rain with my 5 yr old ,the desk "thing" (and that's being nice) had no apology however stated we do that Ill just reactivate the card. I wouldn't gut a deer in that bath tub

My stay was ok...nothing terrible, nothing great. The breakfast buffet left something to be desired and the fan in my bathroom was so loud that I ended up taking a shower in the dark. Also, I had a hard time getting comfortable in my room - my room was either freezing or too hot the entire evening, no matter what I did to adjust the temperature. The people were friendly and for the price, I would say it is ok.

While this hotel is actually a longish walk from downtown, it met our needs for spending a peaceful night in Frederick. As far as I can tell, Frederick's charm rests in its downtown area; that being noted, even if the "Best Western Historic Frederick" isn't exactly in the town's historic district, at least you are not far from its heart. In my experience, Best Westerns "get the job done" & offer reliable, affordable accommodations.

Excellent continental breakfast included.

Walls are paper thin...could hear my neighbors talking, sneezing, farting, etc! But even worse..they left their TV on all night!! I didnt sleep at all for my 3 nights there!! Also if you get a room on the highway side the traffic noise will not allow you to sleep! I really thought my window was open, but discovered it was crookedly closed with a hugh crack the entire length of the window, with tape covering it! I would never stay there again!!!

Looks OK from the outside, and lobby is impressive - but that is where it all ends. The hallway to the room smelled like an ashtray - only to be replaced with the smell of grandma's musty basement once I got to the room. Damp and dank were the flavors of the day - the carpet was shredding, even the floors were uneven - as if the building had settled. The bed sagged in the middle and the walls were paper-thin. Definitely a non-repeat. This is what I would expect from a no-tell motel - not a Best Western.

We enjoyed our night. A short drive to downtown Frederick which was beautiful. We had a wonderful dinner at a local brewery/restaurant that was one of the highlights of our trip. The pool was nice but could have been a little cleaner. Clean room. Good night's sleep.

I was pretty pleased with this hotel. FOr the price I was expecting worse but it was very clean, quiet, comfortable and the breakfast was tastier than expected. We were very please and would stay here again.

It was ok ok, and nothing luxury, the bathrooms are tiny. The breakfast was good.

When I booked the room I booked a King Non-Smoking when I got there they offered me a king smoking or a double right against the highway. They did end up getting me a double a little further from the highway, but then I found what looked like black mold around the vent in the bath room.

Toilet was clogged, bathroom is very small. Staff is friendly.

The Hotel Staff was friendly & very helpful! The Breakfast was more than a regular Continental Breakfast & was very good! My only complaints were the walls were paper thin & the mattresses & pillows need to be replaced. The mattress sagged & the pillows were very lumpy and didn't smell very good.

Motel had no elevator to second floor. Struggled to carry our bags up. Breakfast was less than average. Appeared to be several local homeless people feasting on the braekfast.

Completely satisfied.

Comfortable

My wife and I drove down from Central PA just to eat a t Volt and we needed a place to stay that wasn't going to break the bank. This place was it! Friendly staff, accessible, good (FREE) breakfast and nice location to downtown area. The rooms could be looked after better, dusty, poor vacuuming, small things. Overall it was a great experience and we would come back. Thanks!

Upon arriving on my pit-stop trip as a student driving up the East Coast to return home, I found the consistent luxury of a semi-affordable reputable hotel chain. Instead I found a strange cycle of front office attendants/operators hanging about, not asking customers for aid, being frustrated with those seeking aid, and cooking a disgusting breakfast unfit for a mouse king. Not to mention there was a ridiculous amount of traffic congestion right outside the building keeping me up all night and the putrid hallway odors reaked of puke and bleach. The first floor (of 2) was having just a chunk of the carpet replaced for some odd reason and it seemed to be the source of the smell. This hotel destroyed my perception of Best Western and I will never go back to this or potentially any one again.

Justin at the front desk was extremely helpful. I called the hotel twice asking for directions and he was very helpful and kind to meboth times. He also put on a fresh pot of coffee for me when I got there! Very much appreciated. Especially since it was Christmas :)

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Nothing extraordinary but I'd stay here again.

Not that bad but I would not recommend it. Very difficult to find and the location was not that great. The girl at the desk was very helpful and recommended a great local seafood restaraunt that was excellent, casual and a very good value.

The bathrooms at the Frederick MD location are quite small they were ok for me as I am a small person however, anyone larger may have a problem.
