This worked out very well for good & quiet night's rest during this strenuous cycling weekend in Vermont. The bed was very comfortable and the neighboring rooms were very quiet. Overall, the motel's facilities are a bit dated but the staff are great, rooms are clean & comfortable.

We only needed an overnight, this met our budget needs without sacrificing safety or comfort. While it is a little older and showing signs of wear, it was very clean. Friendly service, breakfast in the lobby was adequate but a little disappointed with the selection (waffles, cheerios, english muffins, toast, juice, coffee)- I had anticipated some bagels or muffins, and a fruit serving of some kind would have been nice.

The room was cold and smelled funny. The service was good but I really disliked the fact that there was NO heat

We stayed just one night as we passed through town. Staff was friendly and accommodating. On check-in our non-smoking room smelled of smoke and we requested a change, which the staff quickly and politely obliged. Our new room in the same unit was old (leaky windows, multiple layers of paint, outdated bath/decorations). Glad we didn't pay more, but sufficed for the night. Breakfast was good (hot waffles and other continental fare).

The room was cold and I couldn't find a way to turn the heat on - the AC was blowing cold air only...

The room heating was not working. The front desk gave me a personal heater, which fortunately was able to heat the room sufficiently.

The night I arrived they did not have the room I reserved. (Standard King) They gave me two double beds instead. The toilet in my room did not flush and wind was blowing around a closed door and the room had an adjoining door to the next room, that es locked but the TV in the other room was so loud that I knew sleeping was going to be impossible. I complained and was moved to another room but it was also sub par and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable.

There was no coffe maker in the room, as listed. Had to ask for one & the front desk wasn't sure where it was. When we arrived the room was around 50 degrees F and with only one small baseboard heater, was just getting warm by the next morning

This hotel may have been economical, but it was ridiculously umdermaintained and filthy. There were brown spots on the sheets, drips on the walls and mold in the bathroom. The heater barely worked, electric outlets were broken and so was the bathroom fan. The bathtub leaked. There were no spare blankets. The hotel offered no response to complaints. Never again.

My boyfriend and I were looking for something low in price and comfortable where we could get some shut eye before trekking home to Newport, RI. The room was nothing fancy, but the bed was comfortable and the room was warm - for $50 what more can you really ask for? The checkout time was earlier (either 10 a.m. or 11 a.m.) than our other hotels that week so we kind of got run out the door, but what are you gonna do? Overall we were satisfied. It served its purpose just fine and the motel is conveniently located near Route 7 and Route 89 - as well as lots of places to stop for gas, food, etc.

I was happy with my stay. I don't stay away from home very much at all, but I was comfortable and felt safe at this hotel. The bed was a little harder than I'm use to but it was a very nice place to stay.

The staff of the Econo Lodge were nice and helpful. The Breakfast was the same fare you get at any Choice Hotel. The room was clean enough but not spotless. The interior was tired and the room had a large moldy spot on the cieling. In the morning I found out why. The roof is failing and either has or does leak. I was told the plan is to tear three of the 4 buildings down and start with something new. This plan is not firm so it appears the facility is in a holding patern that mean minimum expenditures on upgrades, which explains the condition of the building. For the money paid it was not bad but nothing to write home to mom about.

The stay was great. Awsome Staff.

Cleanliness is most important to me, and this placed was OK, although not perfect. It was good in the places that mattered most. Heavy rains poured down that day, and a large and very deep (3"?) puddle formed in front of the door. We had to trudge through that several times that night. It was gone by morning. Hotels.com said we'd have a microwave and small fridge, but that didn't get communicated to the front desk. The desk clerk was pleasant, and helpful. The environs were quiet. I'd stay there again. Decent value.

Although its old its still clean and comfortable for the money. They do all they can without remodelling.

Very nice resort, better than expected. Great location, clean and updated. Room has everything you need including a fireplace & tub with jets. The room is a little tight but includes a desk, lovely cushy chair with ottoman. The Hotels.com website has not been updated to indicate that there is free wireless internet in the rooms.

Had to go back and ask for a different room right away because our non-smoking room was nearly blue with cigarette smoke. Clerk admitted that a drunken wedding party had stayed there the night before. The next room was dingy and worn but smelled like cleaning product instead of cigarette smoke. There was a half inch gap where caulk should have been between the top of the bath tub and the wall surround. I think water is running right down in the wall. The plastic tub floor felt spongy under my feet which I assume means a rotton floor under it. The whole room was just basically old, worn, and in need of remodeling. Oh and the air conditioner unit on the wall made an annoying noise like the fan was broken or something all night.

Was dissatisfied with cleanliness of bathroom. The floor had not been swept and wide patches of mold on floor and around tub seams. Many small repairs both inside and outside room were needed. Continental breakfast was the barest minimum. Would not stay in that Econo Lodge again

After reading the reviews, we seriously considered not staying here. Upon arrival, our first question was: why such bad reviews? It's a Motel and apprarently people were expecting something of a 5- Star. As for the service: one of the best statff of our 4 hotel stays. We were in room 122... they took care of us above and beyond that what was necessary. Would definitely stay again!

It was so old. It's smell so bad. No hair dryer, no electric connexion for the electric cooler, the carper was like always wet, no ventilation in the washroom, no internet in the room, no cumputer accessible. Breakfast very simple. Just a kind of bread, 2 cereals and after 10 hours, you have to pay for a coffee.It's was a little bit less expensive than others hotel but never, I will return to that place.

Couldn't wait to leave. Would have changed hotels but too tired. Manager was accommodating and let me change rooms but room was still musty and outdated.

The staff were very helpful. The room was adequate with no frills but clean and tidy.

THE BUILDINGS ARE GETTING QUITE SHABBY INSIDE AND OUT.THE SERVICE IS BARELY OK. OVERALL THE STAY WAS NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT.

For the price, it was a let down. The room was in poor condition, the door hardly opened or closed without forcing it, the lighting was poor, the tub dripped , and the drain was extremely slow. We stayed at a Best Western on our return trip which cost less and was far more comfortable, clean, etc. than the econolodge room. The breakfast selection was much better, too.

Bathroon condition was deplorable. Generally a less than perfect place to stay.

It was not clean enough. smelled too bad. I couldn't sleep very well. I booked non smoking, but they put me in a smoking room. I arrived after mid night, they did whatever they wanted to. vever ever go back to that hotel, even it was for free.

The motel is old and barely maintained. The concrete lower walkway on my building was heaved upward (by frost), leaving the stairways at a rakish angle. On arrival, I entered the first "non-smoking" suite they sent me to, and it smelled of stale cigarette smoke. She gave me a key to another room that smelled much better. The suite was spacious, but the decor and furnishings were 20 years out of date. The bathroom sink was cracked, there was hair in the shower, mildew in the corners, peeling wallpaper full of holes from previously mounted shelves or towel bars - and the wastebasket hadn't been emptied. I found bits of Ramen noodles in the kitchen sink. The housekeeping staff wasn't very detail oriented to say the least. When I arrived and turned on the TV, it had been left tuned to a movie channel, which was showing a rather explicit film at the time. I was glad my granddaughter wasn't along. The crowning glory though, was the 4am surprise - they hadn't checked to see if the alarm clock was shut off. This was a first in over 40 years of travel. NEVER AGAIN!

The location and price of the hotel was pleasing but the bathroom was old and not the cleanest. The toilet had trouble flushing, there was no hair dryer in the room and the tub looked old and worn out. Also, the a/c was directly facing the bed and it was quite warm in Vermont during our stay so we needed the a/c on and with it facing our bed, we both woke up with sore muscles and sore throats. :(

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location of lodge was convenient.

Quite good for the price, can't complain on anything

Fine room, friendly staff, but pretty hard bed, and the coffee really needs an upgrade...

It was obvious the room was poorly cleaned before my stay; I found a pair of dirty socks, two water bottles and an empty can of catfood in the room.

Room was fairly descent for the price. The bathroom however was absolutely disgusting. Cracks in the floor. Dirty wash cloth on shower rod. Cigarette makes on counter. Bathroom didn't look like it had been thoroughly cleaned in years.

Maintenance so low!

The electric heat was at 50 degrees when I came in at 6 pm ans it was finally warm at 10 pm.

The room was great for the price, however even though the hotel was mostly empty we were given a room right next to monthly tenants who were very loud, very inconsiderate and kept us up until after midnight both days. I would stay there again IF I was not placed next to these horrible people.
