Didn't get the room we reserved, owner was very rude.

VERY NICE ROOM. EVEN HAD 2 TV'S. COMFORTABLE BED. DID MISS IN-ROOM COFFEE MAKER.

Exellent Stay Highly Recommended

The room was nice and clean. There were two things I did not like. The contential breakfast was a joke. The other problem was it claims to have an indoor pool on page, I guess 3 walls count as indoors?

Convenient location for our purpose, but on a very busy street. I was worried about noise, but room was in the back and surprisingly quiet. Clean, well-maintained, no complaints. A very well managed budget accommodation.

The location of the hotel was conviently located near our destination and it had a lot of places to eat nearby. I didn't like that my room was a stand alone room around the upstairs corner off in the dark and the door had no peep hole like all the other doors did. The guy running it was somewhat pleasant, but complained that there were so many of us booked there that night that he would have a lot of laundry to do once we left (you would think that if you barely have 3 rooms occupied on a regular weekend and our group had most of the rooms booked, he would be happy!) Also, I'm used to staying at hotels that have a variety of complimentary breakfast items, not just muffins and bagels. Other than that, the rooms were decent, nice sized, and they provided microwaves and mini refrigerators. No iron/ironing board. I had to check out a mini one from the front desk.

Hard beds. Everything else was fne. 2nd stay and the beds were still hard. will go elsewhere next time for that reason only.

Front desk area was well kept. Staff were attentive. Room was spacious.

The room was large, clean, and in good shape. The man at the front desk was EXTREMELY rude and unwelcoming. During check-in, I requested a room closest to the wireless internet hotspot since I work on the go. He just gives me a very rude stare, and says flatly, "Wi-Fi". Okay, so apparently he doesn't understand English that well, and doesn't care to be nice about it. Throughout check-in he was very short mannered, rude, and had quite the grumpy face. There were 3 of us from California staying in the room, and my friend from Vancouver met us at the hotel in the morning where we were to depart for breakfast at a local cafe. My friend from Vancouver came inside our room and helped us carry our things to our car. When I went to check-out, the same grumpy man said to me in the most rude tone and face: "So there were 4 adults in the room?" I said "What? No. He just met us here, we're leaving to go to breakfast." Him, matter-of-factly: "So 4 people stayed in the room last night." Me: "Noo... He just pulled up, didn't you see his car drive in 10 minutes ago?" Him: "So how many adults in the room last night?" Me, aggravated at his insistence on being rude: "There were 3 of us in the room, just like I put on all the paperwork. He is meeting us here are we are leaving for breakfast in Portland. He did-not-stay-here last night." He just stands there with a rude scowl on his face, then looks down at his desk, waves towards the door, shoeing me away. RUDE!

It was ok...some difficulties with internet connection and unhelpful response for assistance...room was very clean, beds were super firm

Excellent stay from beginning to end! It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, but other than that it was a perfect stay!

I had called ahead to let them know that I would be arriving around midnight for a late check in, and was assured that all I had to do was ring the night bell. After rining the bell I was greeted by a grumpy individual who barely spoke English and did not make me feel like a welcome guest. He gave me my key and then walked away without another word. Also, the parking lot didn't have enough spaces to accomodate everyone so I ended up parking on the main street. The room was clean and comfortable, but the "greeting" I received was enough to make me not want to stay there again.

I visit my brother in Portland frequently and always stay at this motel. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfy, the rooms are clean and there's a small swimming pool and hot tub! What could be better? I'm sure I'll be back many times in the future...

Room smelled of stale smoke but it was listed as smoking room. They did not have a non smoking option. Room was clean otherwise. Pool was open and well maintained. Location was convenient for us.

Not to far from the portland downtown, surrounded by the shops and restaurants. Hotel was very clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again.

Loved everything about it it except no coffee pots in the kitchenettes. Next time will bring a travel pot of my own :)

Everything was great except the wifi service.

We had a great stay! We were surprised be the size of the room for the price we paid! Staff was friendly and our room was clean. Would stay again if ever in the Portland area!

OK overall but the front desk staff could be more friendly, the breakfast food could be fresher, and more than 3 shower towels should be available for a four person room.

Had come to visit my folks, hotel was close otherwise probably wouldn't stay here. Not really a family motel. I work construction and am on the road a lot. This would be a motel I'd stay at if working. Rooms were clean enough, staff was kinda rude, breakfast was nothing but muffins. Price was ok, but you could do better.

We stayed 2 days and they didn't clean our room

A nice and tidy hotel, Ok to stay

Very spacious room in a well-maintained facility. We had a king room and enjoyed the space and layout. There is a partial wall separating the table and "kitchenette" area. The fridge and microwave would be adequate for a quick meal although there are several good restaurants nearby. The indoor pool and hot tub were great too. The continental breakfast is typical quality for budget motels and the towels were thin. But overall a great value for the Milwaukie area and the place was quiet and very clean. I will stay here again.

I stay in an average of 230 motels a year so I know a good motel when I stay there.This is a good one.The rooms are spacious and the tv channels are many.It is clean and comfortable.The only negative is the continental breakfast as it has only juice,muffins and coffee.Don't overlook this motel because of its relatively low price because its better than most 100 dollar and up ones.I wish all motels were this good.

The manager was rude and not very helpful or kind. He said if we wanted to have a guest come to see us, we had to go through him first. I'm a woman and he didn't even acknowledge me. Was not a good experience.

Very clean, pleasant hosts - would stay theere again. Minimal breakfast, and no coffee in rooms. However, one of the cleanest motels we have stayed if for some time.

The room was great as always. Checkin was easy and fast. Two things I would change. Check in time should be earlier like 1:00 or 2:00, and I think there should be a coffee pot in the room as well as a DVD player.

Six nights in this hotel with a comfortable room and standard continental (bagels, English muffins, cooffee and juice), was for us a good Hotels.com value. You'll need a car, but it's only 45 minutes to Portland airport, with lots of shopping (e.g. Clackamas Outlet Mall), groceries, and restaurants nearby. If you've relatives anywhere South of Portland as we did, it's a convenient place to stay.

We paid just $4 extra for a suite and really loved the extra space as we were travelling with 2 children. The second TV was a bonus as was the fridge and microwave oven. The location was a little outside Portland but if the area suits you then then this location is easy to get to. The only thing I could pick on at this hotel is that the mattresses were a little saggy in the middle but I still had a good night s sleep.

This was a great place to stay. Very comfortable and clean room. The host & staff were friendly & helpful. Conveniently located to restaurants & to downtown Portland. We will stay here again when in the Portland area.

The rooms are in good condition, the beds are atypical motel beds(sag in the middle) and the interior was well defined. My only complaint being the allocation of parking area. Had to park my vehicle in the street.

The owner/manager does not speak good English. Wifi is supposed to be included, but doesn't connect. When you ask about it, the answer is "we will have the people look at it tomorrow". In my opinion this is a bait and switch deal. I lost several crucial hours of productivity because of this. Otherwise, the hotel is ok. Bagels and muffins for breakfast...

My husband & I stayed 1 night to visit with an old friend that my husband hadn't seen in 30 years. We all met for dinner at around 6:30 pm and returned to the hotel room at around 11:00 pm to talk. No sooner than we got into the room, the front desk person (Nash) called and said "You have another person in your room and there will be an additional $10.00 charge for him to stay the night." When I explained this was an old friend who was just visiting with us, Nash said, "We don't allow visitors after 8:00 pm." As I was explaining this to my husband and friend, Nash said, "Is he staying or not? I want to know.". I explained that my husband and friend would come to the office to speak with him and Nash said, "Okay, I'LL BE WATCHING." My husband and our friend went downstairs to the office where our friend presented his drivers license to prove he lived within 1 mile of the hotel. Upon returning to the hotel room, I got another phone call from Nash who said, "Okay he can stay but only for 40 minutes." I've asked a number of friends about the visitation time limit and they all said they had never heard of such a thing in any hotel. I will NOT stay at an Econo Lodge again and will NOT provide a recommendation for this chain to anyone!!!

our stay was just fine

This place is super clea and you can tell it has been maintained very nicely over the years. Rooms are very spacious and loved having a separated living room area. We were in town visiting family so the location worked out well for us.

I liked that it had a livingroom area with a t.v. so the kids could watch cartoons after they were ready. It was very clost to where we needed to be, and the price was great! Next time we make the trip we will be booking there!

I found the room to be larger than expected and very clean. The location was very convient to every activity on my schedual. All in all a very satifacfory experionce.
