I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada very much. The people were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and very neat. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in the area.

The staff were wonderful....hotel was clean - Ramada should not state they have a restaurant and bar when it has been closed for years

I have no complaints from my stay at this hotel. There was nothing exceptional about the stay, but nothing bad either. Internet connection was a little slow, but there was a connection. Parking was a little difficult to figure out the first night, but once you know what you're doing it's not so bad. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to someone who just needed a clean place to stay in the Pottsville area.

enjoyed the suite, comfortable, staff friendly, close to where I had to go, close to places to eat

It think is was great, comfortable and accomidating. unfortunaly, i had to leave early for an emergency.

100 s center is the unmarked rear of building. Address is progress ave which runs parallel. Comfortable spacious room but annoying smoke detector light blinks like a radio tower above the bed.

We were in town for a beer festival. That was good fun, but we were pleasantly surprised with the bars/restaurants in Pottsville. Around the area of N Center Street there are a couple of decent bars. No doubt the best place to eat is the Greystone. Big city prices and quality in anthracite country. High end gastro pub, but good stuff, professional staff. Ramada did the job. Skip the breakfast and head to a diner either North or South on Rte 61.

You wouldn’t know it by driving in, but was in good location and neighborhood. The girl up front was very helpful about where we could get dinner, witch was very very close and walked to in about a minute. The town itself was great.

Not really satisfied with RAMADA, Pottsville. The room was nice, clean but needed much refurbishing. The bathroom door was hard to close due to a bump in the floor. The shower ceiling was in bad need of professional repair - it looked as if some amature was loose in there. Also, there were big cracks around the top and along the tub bottom. The phone in the room looked like a young child had played with it, some orange goop was left on the phone and it was really terribly dirty. I wouldn't want to spend much time talking on it. Then, the housekeepinjg staff woke me the first day, very early to me as I asked about the time I could get in the room and was told not till later in the afternoon. The housekeeping staff was there nearly at 8:30/9:00 AM the first morning. The complementary breakfast was OK. Otherwise, I would opt to locate someplace else on my next trip.

Upon arrival, there was no room available. We had to put our luggage in another room until a room/cancellation became availabe. We did finally check in around 10 o'clock. We did have a confirmation number but still no rooms were available when we tried to ckeck in @6:30. Very Disappointing and no discount for Ramada's mistake.

Decent accomodations, but really weird entrance......

Getting in and checking out , problem - too many stairs

My girlfriend and i fully enjoyed our stay here. The customer service was great, they were able to give us a free late check out of 1pm to accomodate our needs for the day.

It was alright. I got there around 3:30 pm and Robert at the front desk did not know if my room was ready?? Odd? After 30 minutes I was told it was ready and that the cleaning staff did not inform the front desk. Then the following morning the lady at the front desk (I did not get her name), I walked passed her and she never offered a "good morning", never looked up at me to offer a smile. Nor did she direct me to where breakfast was being held. Not very good for the morning person to not to be upbeat? Right?

Overall, we were satisfied with our room. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The only issue was that the hot/cold lines in the shower were backwards, which made me think there was no hot water. I later realized the plumbing was backwards. Breakfast was satisfactory; although because the hotel was full, coffee/water & food kept running out. The staff member had to keep running back and forth to refill everything and also to reset the circuit as use of the microwave & toaster caused the circuit to trip constantly. I felt sorry for her since she wasn't told there was a full house. The location of the hotel wasn't exactly what I expected.

Unless you have business there, you really do not have any other choice. old run down hotel, beds are comfortable. The breakfast omelette with cheese was so old it had a crust on it. I actually had to spit it out again and had to go to a Starbucks to have breakfast. Nothing like a Ramada, more like a motel 6 or and old Best Western.

We were in Pottsville for a wedding and the hotel was convenient, clean and staff was friendly.

Everything was fine until I turned on the shower at midnight...no hot water. I turned on the sink...no hot water. I called the front desk; they said at this time of the night to get hot water I would have to run the hot water tap 15 to 30 minutes. That apx 4:30 am they must go to several empty rooms and run the water so there is hot water in the rooms in the morning. Yes, I did get hot water, but how many hundreds of thousands of gallons of good water is wasted during this drought (or any time) because the management won't properly fix this problem. The desk clerk said management was aware of this problem but have never done anything to fix the hot water proplem.

I stayed for only for one night. The first impression was that the hotel isn't on S centre street, the hotel entrance is on the other side. There was no wifi even though I asked them to fix it, but it was ok for me. Room cleanliness is what impressed me Best in town!

Not too much to choose from in Pottsville, but I would definitely recommend this Ramada. There staff was very attentive and met and exceeded our needs. We arrived hungry. We told the concierge (desk clerk) that we had a hankering for pizza. She told us about Roma Pizza a few blocks away and gave us perfect walking directions. The recommendation was deeply appreciated b/ I don't think I will ever have pizza that good again unless I go back there! She even gave us a little story on how they started as just a small hole in the wall, and b/ of their awesomeness, grew to a 2 story restaurant. After touring the Yuengling brewery, we were advised of a bar called Maroons (they have the whole Yuengling spread on tap), that wasn't quite with-in walking distance to Ramada, but still fairly close. I just called down to the concierge to get a phn# for a cab company, I told her we wanted to go to Maroons, she asked if we could be down in 5 min b/ she will have a cab waiting for us! Sure enough, she wasn't lying, it was waiting for us when we came down. After a quick $4 cab ride we were there. The night went extremely well, and was very comfortable. Only draw-back I can say is that they did not have a fridge in the room for our Philly Cheese-steak Pizza. But after a few brews in the belly, room temp pizza works just fine too.

This place has changed its name more times than any other hotel I know but it still has great service! It is in a very central location for Pottsville and has more than ample parking. The breakfast in the morning is perfect in terms of needs and the staff were VERY helpful! I was in Pottsville for a family affair so I always feel like I come back "home" when I go. The Ramada helped foster that feeling as well.

This Ramada is well kept and well staffed with friendly people. I would reccommend it if you're planning on staying in this area.

Not a nice hotel. Lobby floors are water damaged. Room was bare with a small desk that had no electric outlets nearby. I would not recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Ramada hotel in room 218 on 9/19/2011-- Everything was awesome my 6 mth old son and I slept like A Queen and a Prince, the room was very neat and clean upon arrival, the receptionist was very friendly in assisting me and helping me with questions in regards to the service of the hotel. I work at Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center and I can truly say that Pottsville Ramada Rocks.. Being in a small area, I enjoy myself and would def recommend friends and family.

The hotel was in a great location but in need of up dating. The lobby and rooms are showing there age.

Not somewhere I would want to stay on vacation. But for business travel I suspect it's the best if not only in the area.

Spent 1 night on way home from vacation. THe hotel seems to be almost hidden among the other buildings. GPS takes you in on the back side. Hotel is in need of a few updates. Room is very spacious. Ok for a quick pit stop. Didn't go to the free breakfast. Not much to do or see in the area.

It was a great stay. Everyone I was in contact with was so nice and helpful. When customer service is on the decline this was a breath of fresh air. I would stay there again with out a doubt.

It sucked

Hotel is in a spectacular setting in the mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is walking distance to many downtown sights. A very nice place to stay.

Whoa what an idea turn an old abandon ware house into a cheesy excuse for a hotel then put a ramada name on it to draw in guest who will probably only be coming to this Podunk town once in a life time I live onthe road and spend about $12000 a year and alot of the time use name brand hotels to judge my accommodations but I think ramada is now off my list

The door at 100 S Centre St has no signs to show that it is the REAR entrance to the hotel. You walk through empty halls with nothing pointing to the reception area. I had to keep walking through the building till I came to the Receptionist.

I stayed 3 weeknights in this hotel fashioned from a former department store face. The front desk folks were courteous and helpful. The room was well made up with chocolate mints on the bed. The wifi worked fine. The breakfast had a hot entree (egg and either bacon or sausage) and other usual hotel breakfast items - fruit, juice, yogurt, muffins, cereal, etc. The space was very cleverly used - a ground floor to rooftop atrium with rooms arranged around the balconies. It was quiet while I was there, though if someone were there with a noisy party I could see how the noise might carry. The town is built on a hill so the parking lot is across the street on the downhill side, but there is a pull-up space by the entrance to unload. And there were freshly baked cookies and a USA today at the desk each day. And even a convenient hair salon attached where I was well pampered my last evening. I wasn't sure what I would find because these reviews seemed mixed, but MY experience was nothing but positive!

This hotel is recommended...The only reason I gave it a "4" on surrounding neighborhood is because this is a center-of-town property with parking across the street. It's close-in, well kept, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We have stayed there several times and will come back!

The posted address on Centre Street will create a lot of confusion as that is NOT where the hotel is, not even a sign for it there. Instead, the hotel is on Progress, one block over. After driving up and down Centre for about 15 minutes I finally had to call to figure out where the Ramada really was. The parking lot is not directly across the street from the hotel and the hotel's front entrance is a steep flight of stairs. There is no restaurant and the continental breakfast is less than mediocre. However, there are a few places a few blocks away within walking distance if you don't need an early breakfast. The room was adequate, large and fairly well lit, although there was not a real desk to work at, only a small square table stuck in a corner. The wireless internet did not reach my room but there is free use of the "business center" computer on the ground floor, so I managed to evade the cost for connecting from the convenience of my room.

the hotel is clean and renovated inside and out. the staff is friendly and the hotel is within walking distance of almost everything. highly recommend...bring your own towel, the hotels are a little rough.

I had booked a king size bed non smoking. When we got there they had a double bed smoking room reserved for us. She explained this happened alot with hotels.com. She put us in a business class room because that is the only room they had left. She said we lucked out becuase it was LAST king non smoking she had left. If we would have had to stay in the original room reserved I would have been very dissapionted! I'm not sure who's fault it was but if they would not have had that room available I would have been very unhappy. Overall it was great. We were in an upgraded room so I can't speak for the regular rooms. Great night sleep.

We stayed here as a convenient stop-over for our visit to the Reading Airport WWII show the following day. For our needs, it was a convenient location. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.
