Clean rooms with great bedding. The room was small for the price. We were unable to watch the news on CBS, NBC, or ABC because those hannels were unavailable and the front desk had no clue why. Mediocre for the high price.

Great place to stay near Fenway Park! Beautiful rooms, great service, and very good value.

This being my first time to Boston and trying to figure out just where was the best place to stay was a bit challenging. I settled on the Colannade after checking many, many different hotel websites. It looked modern, clean and central. I am pleased to say it lived up to the all three things. I was really pleased with the Luxe room (9th Floor). Gerry - Concierge was very helpful. The down side - the communication ahead of my visit (I had a couple of questions I wanted clarifying, so I contacted via their website) required me to chase a few time. However, that was more an annoyance and I would happily recommend staying at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay, our room was comfortable and well furnished. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Only criticism would be the bathroom being extremely small and basic for a double room in a 4.5 star hotel.

Perfect location, right next to T stop, but also easy to drive to, with hotel parking--average cost for Boston parking. Having the Prudential Center was great for nieces and nephews, and I liked the variety of restaurants close by. Neighborhood felt safe, and very convenient for college visits. Will hopefully stay there again.

The hotel location was perfect for our requirements, the staff were excellent and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. We will definately book this hotel next time we visit Boston.

Very helpful and nice staff. Tour bus stop right in front, subway stop right in front, and across the street from major shopping and eating.

This hotel is in a great location The room was very pleasant, spacious and clean. We would definitely stay there again. Our only complaint was that a light was out in the bathroom. We asked both the housekeeping service person we saw outside our room and the front desk to take care of it but no one did.

Great hotel with a fantastic staff, parking easy, breakfast was decent. One negative, the hotel is not sound-proof. We heard people talking at 5:15 in the morning both nights, doors slamming in the hallway and the cleaning crew in the hallway and traffic noise on Huntington Street. Beautiful hotel but plan to be awakened early.

Pro's- Great location , clean comfortable rooms. Pleasant staff. Good restaurant & bar. Cons- Noisy rooms ( you can hear all sounds from outside hallways) Unable to control the temperature of the room (too warm) Overall for the price @ a great location in downtown its well worth it.

Overall the hotel is very good. My bed was exceptionally comfortable. But I was put off a bit by the substantial charge for wireless and the dim corridors.

Hotel was comfortable and convenient to Back Bay, shopping at the Pru and Symphony Hall. Our stay would have been a lot nicer without a large group of people who continually went from room to room, talking and laughing loudly in the hallway until 2:30 a.m.

The Colonnade is a great smaller hotel (10 stories) in a neighborhood of large high rise hotels. It is clean, has extremely helpful staff (particularly the concierge and bell hops), and has great views of the 2 neighborhoods it straddles (the Back Bay on one side and the South End on the other). There is a subway entrance at the front door and there are many restaurants of all price levels in every direction, within walking distance. If you are going to stay in a higher quality Boston hotel, I would recommend the Colonnade.

Rooms are a decent size and nicely done. Brunch at Brasserie Jo was great and the hotel is across from Prudential and Copley Malls and close to Newbury Street shopping. Unfortunately my friends were in a room next to a barking dog that HOWLED until 1:30 am. Didn't know pets were allowed... and they didn't know they were put on the animal floor. Knowing to steer clear of that floor, I would go back.

Not only was the location of this hotel absolutely amazing but the staff here was phenomenal. I absolutely love how close it is to Fenway, Boylston St and of course the Prudential Center. The Keurig was a great touch to the room and I have to say the beds may be the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on! The staff here was beyond amazing and I would 100% come back just because of that. The doorman was beyond helpful though I don't remember his name and the night security guard was also great. They went above and beyond and made us feel like royalty! We had such a great time I would come back in a heartbeat, in fact we're planning our next trip to Boston right now! See you again soon.

We needed an escape from things but still wanted to experience the city. The hotel is located within walking distance of a number of Boston sights, and also has a T stop right outside the door. The room was clean and modern (the hotel has recently been refurbished), the bed was blissfully comfortable and it was a fantastically quiet location to escape from everything. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room service from the Brasserie Jo downstairs was reasonably priced. It is annoying that you have to pay for internet access, but generally I can't be positive enough about this hotel.

The hotel location was perfect. My only complaint would be that the heating/air conditioning unit in our room was noisy and did not seem to cool the room down sufficiently. Hotel staff very nice.

Great hotel. Subway access at the door. Close to many good restaurants. Close to Copley Square shopping center and to Newbury Street.Jo Brasserie is a great restaurant on site.

We went first wk of sept to use the pool. it was not listed on the website that it was closed after labor day...it was dissapointing.

The hotel is right across from the Prudental centre in Back Bay. It's a good choice for being near Fenway Park for a Baseball game, shopping on Boylston St, or visiting the Christian Science museum. It's a little bit far out of the Area around the Faneuil Market area, Boston Common & Copley Place. A few stops on the T or a 35 minute walk from Faneuil or 10 minute walk to Copley place. The hotel itself is fine, rooms were well appointed & spacious. The only complaint was the $12.95 per night charge for WiFi, come on, it's 2012 & this should be free in a hotel the quality of The Colonnade, there's plenty of free WiFi options in the Prudential Centre though. The "Trolley" Tour stops right outside & this should be the first thing you do when you hit Boston, do the full ring (about 40 mins) & then the second time you 'll know where you want to go back to. It will also help you get your bearings in the city.

The staff was excellent. Only negative was size of bathroom.Quite tight. Otherwise , hotel is excellent. Staff very,very helpful and professional.Looking forward to stay again

This is a very nice hotel and room - and I would have rated it higher overall - except for the *very* loud in-room AC units. It was like sleeping in a factory. If you like a quiet room, I'd go elsewhere. Otherwise - very nice.

Great location, near everything. The T train was next to the hotel as well. Near shopping, Baseball stadium. Rooms were comfortable. Nice to have the roof top pool that had a bar and pool service. Highly recommended when you go for business or pleasure.
