Didnt have toilet paper the first day but they ran it right up when I called the front desk. The building (stairs) in disrepair. Having a live music place next door was a issue when you need to sleep for work as they played till 2am a few nights. The good out weighed the bad as the room was very clean and smelt clean. The beds were pillow topped and very comfortable and the pillows were soft and comfortable. Nice layout with night stand, table with lamp worked great for my laptop and overall work space, bench for my suitcase, coffee pot, ironing board and iron, cable tv, A/C and heat worked great. BONUS was the message shower head with limitless hot water. If the building was in better shape I see this hotel reaching a 3 star rating.

I could not stay in the room, it smelled like smoke.

I stayed here as a staging point for my trip to the Grand Canyon. The town of Flagstaff is lovely. There are a lot of great little shops and it's quite picturesque with the mountains in the background. It really is driving distance to the town centre, although there is a supermarket nearby and a diner open from 6am-9pm just out the front of the hotel (the Belgian waffle with fruit and maple syrup was delicious). The staff were lovely. Unfortunately there were no rooms available on the bottom floor, and with no lift, I decided to leave my 35kg suitcase in the boot of my hire car. I was also disappointed that I was never asked if I'd prefer a non-smoking room. My room had clearly had smokers in it previously, it stank so bad. So bad, in fact that my nose actually hurt after 10mins in the room! But I should have asked to move rooms. Apart from the smell, though, the room was comfortable and clean, and I got what I paid for.

Nothing good about this hotel but that it had a bed to sleep in and had a restaurant that served a good breakfast. Condition of room, bathroom, and hotel needs a lot of help putting it nicely. Careful going up and down the stairs as the steps are uneven, barely caught myself from falling. Overall it's better then sleeping in the car, just not as clean.

Seemed like a room in progress. TV facing to the side where you could not watch it from the bed. TV did not get any channels anyway. Coffee maker on table where there was no outlet to plug it into. A/C never got cold, woke up sweating. Shampoo was half used. Dead spider in bathroom. Shower only worked on hot - to do lukewarm, was just a tiny trickle. Loud trains. Worst hotel of my life.

Howard Johnson's should be ashamed to even sell a room at this nasty, dirty, scummy hotel. I could not believe the parking lot was full, but I am sure this was only because it was the 4th of July. The room had filth built up on every horizontal surface; there was absolutely NO bathroom door, there was peeling paint over the bathroom sink; the carpet was filthy, the ONE electrical plug was shorted out and I had to buy a breaker bar to be sure I didn't blow up my computer. I stay three days a week in a hotel, everyweek and I will NOT be returning to this dump. Stay at the LUXURY INN a few doors down, just as cheap and very clean rooms!

I paid for 5 rooms and we received keys to only 2 rooms. They said the other keys were lost. The toilets plugged and we were handed a plunger and told to fix it ourselves. Electrical plugs did not work. No pool or spa as advertised. Wi-Fi did not work. I think Howard-Johnson's would be embarrassed.

The absolute worst hotel I have ever been too, and I have stayed in places with dirt floors. No personal keys to the rooms, had to get management to open our room every time we left, one guest could not get out of her room and had to wait an hour. There was never any one at The desk had to call the front desk just to wake up the manager and to top it off she gave me here keys to the hotel so she could go back to sleep. And there where more drugs and illegal activities then I have ever seen in my life or the movies!!!!!!!!!

This hotel was so disgustingly filthy and in disrepair that if I hadn't been so tired, I would have gone one and not even stopped. We stayed in a second-story room with uneven stairs up to it (some were 2" steps,some were 10" steps). There was no rhyme or reason to how they were built (long, long ago). I am 66 years old and had to be very careful with each step while towing my suitcase up at the same time. The carpet in the room was filthy, there was a circle of some kind of disgusting spill beside my bed next to the night table that had never been washed off and a burn mark from someone's iron in another place. Aside from the stains, the carpet was dirty and appeared as if it had not even been vacuumed for a long time. I will never stay there again!

Quiet, inexpensive, clean. No frills, good buy...

Our room was clean and the beds were terrific - it's an old hotel that has been renovated, but our room still had a problem or two - but nothing that detracted from our stay. Example: there had been an attempt to seal the bathtub, but the caulking still was cracked and we got a little puddle on the floor with each shower. But it was comfortable in spite of that and we were very happy. We stayed there four days before we realized the pool was in the back - and a beautiful little pool it is. Hot tub, too. All nicely appointed, clean, extremely inviting.

While the hotel is fine for the price, we arrived and were not able to have keys for our door. The magnetic keycards did not work so every time we wanted back into our room we had to have someone open the doors for us. Then because we did not have keys we did not have access to the vending machine, ice machine, or pool. The location is very far from downtown Flagstaff so we had to get a cab to drive us both ways.

Although I didn't expect a lot based on the cheap price, I was disappointed. The beds were very uncomfortable and the place needs to be painted badly. It's dark and dreary. The highest light bulb was maybe 40 watt, and several bulbs were missing in the bathroom. During my 4 night stay, 2 people walked into my room. They were given a key to check in. There was no maid service at all. There was a party in the parking lot every night at around 9PM until 1AM. The parking lot was right outside the room door, so I felt like they were in my room. I didn't even stay for my last night.

The entire stay was a disaster! Ewe reserved a non smoking 2 queen room, when we got there we had the choice of 3 rooms. A smoking 2 queen that smell so bad. A 2 queen that the lock was broken on, or a single king that the ac was broken in. The manager did not seem to really care at all. The neighborhood was bad.
