Our main complaint was that the bathroom sink and toilet were dirty. Was not happy about that but we had driven almost 6 hrs, arrived at 11:30 pm and was too tired to make a big deal out of it. We had to leave the next morning at 9 am so we were on a short turn around. Pictures on the internet of the rooms look like they are updated than they really are. Breakfast was okay. There was nothing precooked such as biscuits and gravy. However they did have sausage biscuits you could microwave. They had coffee, juice, oatmeal, bagels, cereals, yogurt, small danish rolls, etc.
Wasn't a horrible experience, but I wouldn't go back there.

"Outdated and Needs a Good Cleaning"

This hotel has the possibilities of being a nice hotel. It is convenient from the interstate, restaurants, and anything you may want to do in Bowlling Green. But, it is very outdated and dirty. The sink, mirror, vanity and all bathroom area was still dirty with stain, scum and streaks were someone may have 'cleaned at it'. The bed was clean, but the mattress was very soft on the edges and hard in the middle. The pillows also were old and too worn for comfort. Overall the entire room was very dusty. We were there two nights, and even after the maid came through the second morning, she just made the bed and brought in clean towels (which were very thin and small). She did not attempt to clean the bathroom area. The breakfast area is small and not a good selection for a continental breakfast. Even though we travel to Bowling Green a few times a year, we will not be staying at this Clarion Inn.

For the price, I expected more. The breakfast was nothing to be excited about. The room was not too comfortable. It needs to be updated.

The stay was fine- No fridge and microwaves in rooms. Had a short delima due to medications needing to be refridgerated- but, We handled it. Sheets would not stay on bed. Breakfast buffet provided- this was fine. We had been told that we would have food vouchers at waffle house and cracker barrel- but they dont do that any more. Buffet is served instead. Not real sure about the desk clerk's experience and knowledge of the place. AND, clerk put an additional $300 on our credit card for "INCIDENTALS" never heard of this before.- the charge did come off the card within a couple days.
Thank you for your comments, we take all customer feedback to heart. All third floor rooms do possess a refrigerator and a microwave can be brought to any room upon request. Currently, all customers receive a complimentary continental breakfast served at the hotel. We do not have Waffle House breakfast, however, at one time we did offer Cracker Barrel breakfast as an option to qualifying customers. We are not doing this as of 04/01/2013, but it may return in the near future. Incidentals are a temporary hold on the customer's debit/credit card and are not uncommon throughout the industry. These charges are generally set by the hotel general manager and are removed within 48 hours provided the customer doesn't violate hotel policy (i.e. smoke in a non-smoking room, steal things from the room, etc.) Our policy at Clarion of Bowling Green is to limit incidental holds to $30 p/night. This was my first time to stay at a Clarion Inn. I thought Clarion was top tier for this chain on inns, but was very disappointed. I was an old motel that had been refurbished. Room was small and the sink was not behind a closed door.

"Customer Service killed this stay..."

I checked in @ 9:50p, 3/15/13. The night attendant was nice & accommodating. Checkout time is 11am, but I asked for a Noon checkout. After a long day, I didn’t wake up until 11:15a- checkout day. I go to take a shower & the shower doesn’t work! The faucet nozzle was pulled down as far as it can go and would not go down further, so no water is coming out of the showerhead. With checkout time approaching I had to take a wash in the sink!! There was no time for a bath, but, I don’t sit in hotel tubs anyway. I went to checkout. The Manager was on the phone, but quickly summoned an employee to assist me. I told the employee that the shower in my room didn’t work, & she acted shocked & as if she didn't believe me. After she surmised that I may be telling the truth she asks "Do you need a receipt?", I told her no & she says "You are all done!' She didn’t say, I’m sorry for your inconvenience..nada! I work for a major health care company & I travel extensively for business & pleasure, & I have never been treated so dismissively & unappreciated. Once the Manager was off the phone I told him what happened. The Mgr was apologetic and asked was there anything he could do, but I told him no. The damage was already done. A simple 'I'm sorry' from the employee would have sufficed. Clarion-BG, let this be a lesson b/c you will never have my business again. You never know who is staying in your hotel or the impact that a lack of customer service skills may affect your future business.- GVM
Thank you for leaving your feedback. Indeed the shower faucet nozzle in your room was a tight, however applying a bit more pressure, the nozzle functioned as expected. Further, our maintenance staff has gone and lubricated all 101 nozzles in the hotel in order to avoid the same problem for other guests.
As a result of your feedback, we've made several changes that will provide a more timely resolution. For example, we have implemented a more rigorous checklist for housekeeping staff and front desk staff follow up with guests shortly after check in to ensure guests are satisfied with their room.
I only wish that we could have done something for you before your departure (ie, extend your late checkout and adjust the nozzle for you).

Wish it had smoking rooms. That's the only complaint I had. It's too much trouble to take elevator down stairs and to cold to stand outside to smoke.

The staff was courteous, the hotel and rooms were clean, and the price was decent. The rooms are nothing special but it was a nice accommodation for the cost.

Hotel staff very friendly and yummy continental breakfast. I was a little surprised by the room considering this was a Mariott. The room was musty smelling like it had once flooded. The bathroom could have used another wipe down. There was hair in the sink and bathtub. Overall, I would probably stay here again if I was in the area. Not a first choice.

It was great the hotel was by the interstate, but noisy at night from road noise, The secure lock on the door was broken. Overall the was was very nice and the staff was great.

researched many hotels in the Bowling Green area and decided on the Marriot because of the positive feedback from other guests. Yes I would recommend and also stay again.

The Motel Fairfield by Marriott in Bowling Green, KY, was very well maintained & clean. The room was lovely w/king-sized bed. It was a nice sized room w/flat screen TV. The furnishings were up-to-date & new. The color scheme was very pleasant. An up-to-date bathroom was separate from the wash basin area. We would stay here again if in this area.
We made our reservations by phone & there were
no problems. Checking in & out were very efficient.

I guess I missed the part about the fact that part of the hotel has rooms that go directly to the outside instead of the hallway. I suppose it would be nice if the pool were open, but since my husband I were traveling with my 18 year old daughter and her friend, and they were staying in a seperate room it was a little unnerving leaving them alone in a room where it had access directly to the outside. Besides the noisy highway we could hear people fooling around outside. We had made reservations requesting adjoining rooms, but when we checked in were told they could not accomodate us. the picture of the hotel are a bit misleading, this is a remodeled older hotel. It smelled old and looked old. Everything was neat and pretty clean, but just felt kind of dirty. I would try another hotel maybe a bit further from the highway next time and definately ask for an inside room.

We found the hotel to be nice, clean and accessible to the area attractions. The pool area was also clean and nice. The breakfast area is very cramped and poorly designed, but it's free so might as well take advantage of it. There is no complimentary shampoo/conditioner/lotion, so bring your own. Overall I would stay there again if visiting the area.

"Corvette vacation"

Were in town to see the National Corvette Museum & Corvette plant. Hotel is convenient to both & also to some great restaurants & antique shopping.
