Enjoyed the location and the locale. Were able to walk to so many historically significant sites, it made the getting there all that much more enjoyable. The hotel rooms are 'cozy' but functional. The breakfast had variety and style. The staff was ever-accommodating. It made our visit to Paris more enjoyable.

Overall ok but we had a few minor issues: 1)We were told our room was ready upon check in but when we went up to our room there was a maintenance card on the door and when we entered there were two hotel employees in the room; I'm not sure why they were there. 2)the room had a bad odor when we arrived. 3)There was not an adaptor (to convert European to American electric plug) at the front desk. The clerk told me he had just given the last two out. This was understandable, but when I noticed a charger right on the front desk and asked if I could charge my phone for 15 minutes, I was made to feel this would be inconvenient for him. To be clear he did not refuse but I did not insist and made other arrangements. 3)The hotel told me there was free coffee in the morning. One morning I asked where it was and they told me downstairs (in the cafe). So I went downstairs and asked and they told me it was upstairs, So I went upstairs and told them what happened and they sent the coffee up to my room. So I would say that the staff is not overly helpful initially but to their credit they try to make up for this later.

Walk to notre dame and French quarter. Metro is close room is very good. Reserve your room breakfast included nice breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay very much in this most quaint french hotel. The staff were delightful and eager to make our stay a pleasure. We could not fault it. The breakfasts to commence our day terrific both in taste and presentation not to mention service. The hotel situated in the tourist area and public transport easy to obtain from this point. Loved it and would happily stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was brilliant...close to the metro, key sights, good restaurants, etc. Hotel room was very nice. Staff was very friendly.

I love the location of this hotel right next to Notre Dame. Some rooms have views of it as well. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I came early for check in and they were willing to change my room (upgrade) in order to have me get into a room right away. Breakfast is very nice in the basement. The lobby is very classy. Hallways are narrow and the rooms are relatively small. Not sure about the 4 star rating, but it is nice.

We would absolutely stay at this well situated hotel that lies between two metro stops and around endless restaurants plus highly rated food stores. The staff was attentive, making several restaurant reservations for us as well as personalized breakfasts. They were always pleasant. Two minor, picky things. The hotel decor could do with updating; it comes across as old and in need of attention although cleanliness is in no way affected. Also, the chain is owned by a Spanish firm so the computer defaults to the Spanish Google search page and will not pick up the English. I'm also not sure that the settings include removing all the cookies on closing so I would not use the computer for anything secure or for a standard e-mail account, just an an ancillary one. We would stay here again.

Our family,10 of us, spent a wonderful week in Paris. The Melia Colbert was perfect for all our needs. The staff went out of their way to be helpful as our french is not that great and the location worked well for getting around by water taxi, bus, metro, taxi or just walking.

What a wonderfully located hotel. The staff was amazing - they noticed that my friend had his arm in a sling as he broke his shoulder during our trip and immediately helped with luggage and cabs.

Warm, welcome, a comfortable place to rest after a long vacation day. Right in the middle of the nightlife & fun dining. was fun

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Only one block from the river and Notre Dame Cathedral. Very friendly and helpful staff. Decent buffet breakfast (included with my room rate). 5 or less minute walk to the Metro.

I thought Melia Colbert was magical. A beautiful hotel, in a beautiful location, with an extremely gracious staff. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

Staff very helpful and courteous - nothing was too much trouble. Room spotless and comfortable, although we had to open the window at night as the room was too warm. Location good - very close to Notre Dame, which contrary to what we were told could not actually be seen from our room, unless you were hanging out the window, when you could see just the spires. Located down a quiet side street with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby - the receptionist drew a very helpful and accurate map with recommendations. Would definitely return.

I think it is a nice hotel located in tourist area of Paris. The rooms are small and the toilet and bathroom are in two different rooms. It is a good hotel in EU standards but not a fancy one in US standards. I was on my own but I do not think it is a good hotel for family as the rooms are too small. Very nice and helpful staff and free internet.

The location of the hotel is good. Staff on reception helpful and friendly.Room had view of the butresses of Notre Dame. However room was so cold it was unbearable. The air conditioning remains on when electronic key not inserted so on return late at night the room was freezing and it took all night to get to a tolerable temperature. Reception found two more duvets for my friend and I otherwise it would have been impossible to sleep without remaining fully dressed. I have travelled in Europe extensively and this was the coldest I have ever been in winter months. It totally marred my stay and for the cost which was expensive I was extremely dissatisfied.

Melia Colbert Boutique Hotel is wallking distance to Cathedrale Notre Dame Church (about 5 min)and it is about 5 minutes walk to the Metro station to see others recommended area. example Lourve Museum, Effiel towers.... (If rental car - 2 stations away from Hotel can rent a car too). Very good shopping zone for special items like small interesting boutiques.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing vacation thanks to the helpful staff and unbeatable location. I would return to the hotel in a heartbeat.

This hotel ticked all the boxes for a stay in Paris. The convenience of its location, close to many of the splendid sights of the Latin quarter, easy walking distance to the metro and in a very quiet location helped to make our stay in Paris a wonderful experience. One small thing was the lack of ability to control the heating in the bedroom at night, but comfort otherwise was excellent , staff very pleasant and breakfast excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room had a view of the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Latin Quarter location is excellent- like a neighborhood where you can run out to a local grocery store or pharmacy for simple items. In fact the porter walked me to the street corner outside the hotel to point out the grocery store location!! Clean, bright, amiable staff. I would recommend to friends.

Well located, clean and value-priced with helpful staff. Lobby internet access was erratic during our stay; we didn't buy a room with cable access. Be careful in buying the hotel breakfast: it's good, but pricey, even if you remember to sign up for their loyalty program that results in a discount.

Excellent value, in the Latin quarter. This is a great location if you enjoy walking Paris. Very close to the RER station in from the airport. We walked everywhere, even the Eiffel tower was only a 50 min walk. Great restaurants within a 5 minute walk or less, not tourist traps but really great food. The room was great, pillow perfect. Only improvement I could think of was if there had been a dresser in the room. We were there for 4 nights, and that was a bit of a challenge.

The hotel was lovely, easy walking distance to many metro lines and the red bus tour line. There was a cool coffee shop on the corner. My only compliant is the internet. The front desk ran out of 30 minute cards, the one computer that is in the lobby was difficult to use, (european keyboard). If it's not a burden on the hotel's costs, I highly recommend to their owners that they include a reasonable wireless package for their hotel guests.

We love staying at the Melia Le Colbert. A great little hotel in a great location, just across from Notre Dame (we could actually see a bit of Notre Dame from our room window). The staff is very helpful and seem to really understand service. My only complaint about the hotel is that there is no Wifi service. This isn't enough reason not to stay here, but I do wish the hotel would upgrade by getting wifi installed. Please note that they do have cable internet hook-up in the room, but this is no help if you have an iPad.

This is a nice hotel with a great location. The bathroom sink is small and hard to utilize. The biggest fault is that all the mirrors in the room are smoked and with the low light they make it difficult to see your reflection. The room and the bathroom are a decent size for a Paris hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights in Sep 2011. It was my 6th trip to Paris so I have a reasonable comparative background. A gem of a find in an area where there are lots of other alernative hotels. 2 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of St Germain and Notre Dame, with its lively street life, but in a well kept side street that feels like it's in a quiet spot of Paris. 5 minutes walk to St Michel Metro. 1 minute walk to public bike racks. We never caught any buses but from what we gathered we would have had to walk about 10 minutes to a main bus station. Breakfast was good, rooms well serviced and staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was larger than expected for Paris. I went with my wife for a romantic getaway and was not disapointed. Small garden at the entrance makes it feel different to other Paris "street" hotels, and sets the tone for what's inside. Bathroom was clean and perfect for the basics required but not geared for a "romantic bath for two" :). Shower is part of bath but worked fine. Bed was comfortable and linen in good condition and changed regularly. Decor of the room was classic contemporary and was in good condition. Aircon made a noise but because the street is quiet one can open the windows and turn it off at night. In my opinion it was good value for money for Paris. On our next trip to Paris, instead of trawling through numerous websites trying to find a suitable hotel, we'll just go straight to the Melia Colbert.

There were two couples in our group. All four of us could not praise the staff enough for their friendliness, helpfulness,and attentiveness. The rooms were superb, beautifully decorated with the most comfortalble beds and bedding. The hotel could'nt have been more conveniently located and the reception area and dining area were beautifully and elegantly appointed. Our overall experience could not have been improved upon in any way!Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a holiday in Paris!

So misleading you cannot imagine ... I actually checked in, went to see my room, and ran away to look for another hotel... Location is just a quick left at the end of nowhere... The bed is so soft , mattress quality from the 1950's... You take an elevator to your floor, then you have to walk up narrow stairs to the smallest room ever.. Low water pressure, just a 1 and half star hotel from central Bucaherst post communism... But, the stuff was amazingly nice. That's also a fact.. So, your call

Couldn't be happier with my stay at the Melia Colbert. Extremely helpful staff, all fluent in English. Very clean. Room was small, but as expected for any boutique hotel in Europe. However small, the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed, nice little bathroom and shower. We passed on the hotel's breakfast, too many near-by cafes to explore. Neighborhood is great, hard to beat, central to everywhere. Stone's throw to Notre Dame!

On our recent visit to Paris we were extremely pleased with the Melia Colbert Boutique. They were quick to respond to our requests and most helpful with directions, etc. The hotel is ideally located and within easy walking distance to many sites and museums not to mention some wonderful bistros and cafes. I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay again on my next visit to Paris.

Everything about the hotel is great except the beds. They are so hard and covered with some sort of synthetic (plastic) cover which makes them almost impossible to sleep on.

This is a great hotel in a lovely location right next to Notre Dame. The hotel rooms aren't big and my only complaint was that it was so warm on a night we had to open the window which being in cenral paris was quite noisy. Apart from that the rooms were excellent and the staff and service were very friendly and helpful. I would definately go back. Lots of great bistros and bars nearby.

The hotel room was a bit small (but most Paris hotel rooms are) but clean and in a great location. Notre Dame was right down the street as were lots of cute restaurants of Saint Germain area.

Fantastic location just a stones throw away from Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter. In fact it couldn't be better. Lovely small hotel with good service. A little pricey as the rate didn't include breakfast although everywhere seems to be expensive these days. I would go back purely because of the location and the fact that its a small intimate hotel with friendly staff. I liked he fact that the the man on reception said that they did English breakfast but no baked beans!! (We prefer continental and they had a good selection of fruit too).

I very much enjoyed my recent weekend stay at the Melia Colbert. The hotel is on a charming little street just seconds away from the Seine, Notre Dame, and lots of charming cafes, and it's an easy walk to many of the major sights in eastern Paris. The Metro is close by, so everything else is just a hop, skip, and a jump by train. Despite its central location near a major tourist hub, the hotel is on a wonderfully quiet street - and gazing out at the spires of Notre Dame in the early morning is a great way to wake up! The room was a nice size for a European hotel room, and while the beds are a tad on the firm side, I was extremely comfortable after a day running around the beautiful city! Very nice bathroom, lots of storage for clothes, and free broadband internet accesss in the rooms which worked just fine, so didn't miss WiFi at all! . The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay here tremendously. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel employees went above and beyond resolving problems we were having with our train tickets. The location was great and we would highly recommend the hotel to our friends and family- we'll definitely be back!

I read all of the reviews before booking this resort so I knew what the pros and cons were and it seemed that the pros outweighed the cons and so I booked this hotel. And overall I was satisfied with my stay, however I don't think I'd stay here again or recommend it. Here's why...the pro by far is the location - it is perfect! So if location is your #1 criteria then this may be the place for you. It's perfectly located AND it was super quiet so I got a great night's sleep every night (despite the very hard bed, I slept so well). Our room was inward facing the courtyard so it was quiet. I read a few other reviews that faced the street and Notre Dame and they said it was a bit noisier. BUT, the reason I didn't love it was because of the shower. I know this shouldn't be reason enough to not recommend it, however it was a big downside for my husband and I. Although the shower has a showerhead, you cannot use it because there's half of the ceiling comes down in the middle and you can't stand up all the way without leaning to the outside. And then that didn't work either because there's no shower curtain. So, we had to take a bath every day which was such a pain and took us twice as long. Also, very small things, but for a 4-star I would expect more...they did not have a chest of drawers to put your clothes away, no tissue in the room, no alarm clock, and as I mentioned, the bed was really hard. So although it was a fine stay, it was not the 4-star I was hoping for. Antonio and Monika at the front desk were great help. Hamid was okay, but not as helpful as Antonio.

The hotel was great! It's in a fabulous location, right across from Notre Dame, near RER and Metro stations. It was lovely, well maintained and the room was very attractive and comfortable. The front desk staff was generally extremely polite, friendly and helpful with one or two exceptions who were not the main staff. Minor complaints were that the shower leaked onto the floor no matter what we did, no clock in the room, no shelves or drawers, but these were minor discomforts. It's modern and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again, which is not something I can say about any other hotel I've stayed at in Paris.
