The staff was friendly. The rooms are clean. This will be my go to spot for all my anchorage stays.

As we drove up I thought, "oh oh"....even as we entered the hotel by wheelchair ramp to the small lobby..BUT then, personnel so very helful, rooms SO spacious and clean with nice size fridge, microwave, kitchen sink & counter, double sofa(easily sleeps 4), desk & 2 chairs, wi-fi thru out the hotel, non-smoking premises, 42" flat screen T V..bathroom small but adequate...shuttle bus to airport runs every hour, continental brkfst includes hard boiled eggs

It was good enough

This was a great bargain. Nice hotel, friendly staff, same convenient downtown location as the big money hotels (actually across the street from the Captain Cook). It's an older hotel, but very clean, and the room included a kitchenette with microwave and fridge, and a very comfortable bed. The room was large and had a ceiling to floor window, I was on the 3rd floor and enjoyed lying in bed and looking down at the street and the water in the distance. You can buy a day pass to the Captain Cook fitness center, and that was really nice, too. After staying at several hotels in Anchorage I have finally found my "go to" hotel there.

My husband and I have stayed at the Voyager multiple times over the years, and every time we stay, it's a great experience. The staff is always helpful and friendly, the location is stellar, and the rooms are large, airy and clean.

I was worried about the location when I arrived in town...it was less than a block away from a newish bar that had been the location of a shooting the weekend before, and a couple of blocks from another bar that also had a shooting recently. However, I kept the booking, and was glad I did. The room was spacious with a large bed, couch, desk, flat screen TV, and kitchenette. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel is within 2 blocks of a great running/biking path, and within walking distance of the Dena'ina convention center and downtown Anchorage. Guests have use (for a small fee) of the workout rooms/spa at the grand Cook hotel, directly across the street. On the downside: the fan in the bathroom sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. The room was very hot...I even opened the balcony door one night for a short period, even though it was November. I brought these concerns up to the staff, who seemed very receptive to fixing them (I asked that they not fix the fan while I was there, as I didn't want workers in the room during my stay). Overall though, the stay was very pleasant. I didn't hear any noises from my neighbors, either within the hotel or outside the hotel.

Good stay, despite the noisy neighbors.........nice little soaps, shampoo, lotion, etc. Amenities rule.

Hotel room size was great - bed + fold out with big flat screen and kitchenette. Bathtub with shower clean. Hotel is outdated and needs a good refurbishment. Smell of smoke at night even though it is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. Don't know if that's leftover from the pre ban days. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Price was good.

Large clean rooms with microwave, fridge and sink. Limited breakfast options provided but other choices nearby. Non smoking but some hallways smell smoky.

I read many reviews about hotels in the downtown area and was not sure what to expect. I hope my review will aleviate any doubts about your hotel. I checked-in Friday June 29,2012 , my reservation was in order, I was helped by a very friendly and attentive staff. I got my room right away and was pleasantly surprised by the size,cleanliness and comfort of my room. It was well furnished,bathroom was very clean and everything worked. In short, I would not hesitate to stay there again. Well worth it!

I chose the Rodeway Inn after reading the overwhelmingly good reviews, and I can now completely agree with the many positive comments. Staff make an effort to ensure guests are happy and invite them to let them know if anything can be improved. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with plenty of light and a narrow balcony overlooking the street. The complimentary continental breakfast was limited but completely adequate, and I was able to do my accumulation of laundry without difficulty. I also appreciated being able to use their guest computer since I was having trouble sending emails with my iPad. This hotel's good reputation is very well deserved, and I recommend it highly.

Very nice, well maintained older hotel a little off the beaten track but within short walking distance of downtown attractions and the seashore bicycle path. Bike and car rentals available in immediate area. The building exterior is rather utilitarian but the interior is where this place shines. Rooms are generously sized with generously sized toilet and a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Porcelain coffee cups with saucers were a nice touch! All room areas were very clean and maintained. Plenty of room to walk around and handle luggage without bumping into one another. French doors at juliet balcony for cool, fresh air. Corridors are a bit narrow by today's standards but adequate for manuvering. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast is sufficient for early starters. Check out their website for other features/amenities. We will plan to stay again on our next trip to Anchorage.

It was great to be downtown without being right in the loud middle of things.

only downsides: they have several names and it was unclear when I was supposed to get off the shuttle. The hot water ran cool later in the day. The bathroom floor was a little tacky. THE UPSIDES: Shuttle, breakfast, location, comfort, friendly staff, spacious room, kitchenette, blackout curtains, did I mention friendly and helpful staff? THANKYOU!

After reading reviews on the site, I decided to book the Rodeway Inn for a business/leisure trip to Anchorage. The location downtown was fantastic, the shuttle service was prompt, the front desk and housekeeping services were attentive, the kitchenette was useful, the free wireless was fast, and the large layout of the room perfectly suited my traveling companion and I. The only "difficulty" we encountered was a rather raucous group staying in the room next to us, for part of our stay. I don't think the walls of this place are thin; I think that group was out of control. (And the front desk sincerely apologized when I asked if they were checking out. Otherwise, I would have asked to move rooms.)

The hotel centrally located. Very clean and very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Would definately recommend for those traveling through Anchorage.

Love the rooms.I have stayed in every large hotel in downtown Anchorage and found while this hotel may not have a view it has superior rooms: very clean, and large with a kitchenette, they seem to be newly remodeled. Snow City Cafe (one of the finest breakfast cafes in Anchorage) in just around the corner, so I eat breakfast there. The price is right. The housekeeping staff was very friendly but the front desk staff was rather standoffish. It was quiet but Anchorage did have a big snow so there was snow clearing in early morning but I will stay here again.

Excellent service!! Highly recommend!!

The hotel was clean, convenient and comfortable. I highly recommend it. The only drawback is that the continental breakfast offered was very simple. Pretty much just coffee and muffins. And there were no tables to eat. Plan your own breakfast and this will be a great place for you.

The room itself was very comfortable and very nice. The location is perfect. It is near the bay, so you can watch the tide come in and shop in the nearby tourist area.

I travel a LOT all over the world and have stayed at a lot of different hotels. This place is a 4.5 for the price. Rooms are big and clean and staff is nice. Downside is no restaurant/food on premise.

While the lobby was small and could never accommodate many guests checking in or out at the same time, the rooms were spacious and well equipped with amenities. The tempurpedic mattress was a nice surprise, as well as the kitchenette. The BIG screen TV was also an unexpected nicety. We were traveling with another couple who stayedat the Rhodeway as well. We both agreed that these were the nicest rooms we stayed in on our entire trip.

Very well located, ofers free shuttle from and to the airport, large room equiped with kitchen, breakfast : I've never seen a 2 stars so good, it's really better than a lot of 3 or 4 stars I've stayed !

Entering my room on the top (4th) floor, I was surprised by the large size and that the room also included a kitchen area with sink, microwave, and refrigerator. It was clean, but there was a slight musty smell that soon went away after opening the large window. The workers were polite, but I could tell that they were understaffed. There was only one person at the front desk and he/she was also responsible for refilling the breakfast coffee and the pastry bowl. This caused the wake-up call to be late ten mintures. The only real disappointment was the "continental breakfast". I didn't expect a lot, but more than only a few sweet pastries and small bags of oatmeal. The shuttle van driver was on time and friendly when he took us to the airport. Overall, it was a good place to stay because of the surprisingly nice rooms.

The hotel was very conveniently located within walking distance to all the downtown attractions. The continental breakfast was only so-so (rolls and juice) but the room made up for it. It had a kitchenette and the feel of a small apartment. And the selling point for me was the shuttle service to the airport.

First - it is named both the Rodeway and Voyager which caused some confusion trying to find it. Other than that, a very nice stay. Room was big, full kitchen, sitting area, view overlooking the main downtown street. Parking is an issue - you can buy 24 hour blocks of parking at $10 per or you can plug meters. I was there on the weekend when parking at meters is free, so I didn't suffer too much. Would stay there again.

Good price for a hotel downtown Anchorage. the location was very convenient and everyone there was very friendly and helpful. This is a budget hotel so it was not fancy at all but it was perfectly sufficient and a good value for the money. I would recommend staying here.

The nicest Rodeway Inn I've ever stayed in. Located right downtown, a very spacious, clean, and comfortable room.

This hotel is clean, friendly, convenient and comfortable, and reasonably priced. With a microwave and refrigerator, you can have lunch or snacks available as needed. It's also a very quiet hotel. I've never heard parties when I've stayed here. Complimentary newspaper and airport shuttle are two improvements added since the hotel changed hands, and all the good qualities of the old Voyager remain.

Pas tres moderne, couleurs un peu sinistre, surout dans le hall d'entrée. mais chambre propre et grande.Petit-déjeuner trs décevant, on ne peut même pas s'assoir.

Todo como se esperaba a un precio razonable, pero si el desayuno no vale la pena, ni si quiera tienen leche!

受付の対応、部屋の広さ、清潔さ、ベッドの寝心地、ホテルのロケーション、すべてOKだと思います。残念なのは2つだけ。1つ、バスルームの清潔さは部屋の他の場所と比べてちょっと落ち気味だったこと。1つ、朝食は、食事と言えないような軽食だったこと。でも概ね満足です。

Gutes Mittelklassehotel mit schönen, grossen Zimmern. Lage super. Sehenswürdigkeiten innerhalb Downtown sind zu Fuss in einigen Minuten erreichbar. Negativ: Das angebotene Frühstück: dieses verdient diesen Namen überhaupt nicht (wir haben dieses Angebot deshalb nie genutzt/unser Frühstück auswärts genossen.

バスターミナルも近く、非常に便利な場所。部屋も広く、快適、静かです。ただ、朝食（コンチネンタルブレックファースト）付きとなっていましたが、実際にはロビーでコーヒー、パン、果物を自由にもらえる、といった簡単なものでしたので、ご注意を。
