Monarch Hotel & Conference Center - Clackamas

Stayed here last year at same time and was reason I booked again it is a good location, clean and perfect for my needs. One could get breakfast included in your rates it would be a nice added bonus

It was very nice. Service was very good.3rd time stay.

Nice, clean, quiet, convenient place to stay. Food was so, so and no complimentry breakfast.

the staff was very friendly, the room was clean. The bed was firmer than I would have liked and the unfortunately the pool was closed both days during our stay which was disappointing.

I like it all including staff they deserves raise for their hard work and good work ethics

Very good deal for the money

Needed a room close to home for one evening during a remodel. Room was very nice. Only issue was person in room above was up at 3:30 am and you could hear them walking around and the shower running, otherwise very nice.

Nice stay. Easy location right on my route. Nothing major to complain about, except the floor was squeaky (feel sorry for the person below me when I got up at 5am) and the bed kept me tossing and turning all night. Still, I slept. For the money, I supposed I couldn't ask for more.

Big rooms, friendly staff and good price.

The hotel was convenient for work, but the room was slightly musty. The shower was hard to turn on, and the temperature kept changing. Breakfast and lunch was very good.

We stay there often as our children live nearby and we are always pleased with the facility.

There was nothing to brag about. Room was just average as stay at a 2 or 3 rated motel. Won't recommend or stay there again!

Fun, fun, fun! Nice people @ the hotel...wish they had a gym, though. They did offer a pass to a local gym 3 minutes from the hotel. We did have to pay for the use of the gym but @ a reduced rate. The room was clean, location was great to our destination but they could use more comfortable beds in their rooms for the guests. All in all it was a nice experience.

The hotel is right off the freeway,easy access. And within walking distance is great places to eat and shop. The room was nice! We will be staying there again soon!

Our first impression was not great at all! We requested a non-smoking room and when we checked in we were assigned a room on the second floor. As the elevators opened onto the second floor we were overcome with the stench of cigarette smoke. The whole second floor reeked of cigarette smoke. We gave the place the benefit of the doubt thinking that maybe someone had just smoked in the hall, but when we opened our room, it too reeked of smoke. The desk told us that the room we were assigned to is NOW a non-smoking room and had been a smoking room at one time! Ha I don't know what they were thinking as cigarette smoke embeds itself into everything. Anyways they quickly re-assigned us to a room on the first floor (a non-smoking floor) and upgraded our room which was very nice. The room was great, very clean, updated furniture, large jacuzzi tub. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The location of the hotel was incredible. There were over a dozen restaurants in the adjacent shopping complexes. Across the street there was a HUGE mall with tons of stores and a movie theater. The hotel was located right off the freeway and was a quick 20 minute drive to downtown Portland.

Compared to the hotel where I stayed the previous night this hotel was 5x better. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The only drawback for me was the location. It was farther than anticipated to and back from the college; not matter what route I took. It was convenient to have the airport shuttle (free) as my husband had to fly back to California for work.

Room was clean. You can hear alot from the surrounding rooms. It is actually nicer than it looks from the outside.

Really nice hotel and good service it was just dirty

Easy to find, clean room and lobby. Would request a room away from the freeway next time.

Close to Clackamas Promenade and Clackamas Mall. About 30 minutes from Woodburn Outlet Mall. Very comfortable mattresses and new sheets. Sam's Restaurant in the hotel is expensive but good quality food. Enjoyed the pool but didn't get to use it as much as we wanted to. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Good hotel, dirty comforter and shower curtain

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is old and really looks it. The carpet in the hallways and throughout the hotel, with the exception of the rooms, is old and smells.

My wife and I liked the hotel. Our room was very nice and clean. I do wish that the hotel would offer a complimentary breakfast instead of a $5? discount on our bill.

Service sucks double charged after I booked and paid she ran my card and charged me again

when I booked this room, I chose it because of the big bath that it showed in the photos. False photos. The room with the beautiful bath is the suit. Bummer. I was really looking forward to that tub time with my fiance. The beds were very comfy and the front desk was very nice about changing rooms. Yet in BOTH rooms the bathroom was so loud! You turned on the light and the fan came on with no option to turn it off. It was loud enough that I could hear my neighbors fan come on when they went in their room. I peed with the light off because it was insanely loud. Otherwise it was nice. The pool was beautiful and the ease of having a resturant right downstairs was superb. Next time I will book somewhete else in that area.

I located and booked a room at the Monarch Conference Center and Hotel after one of my car tires disintegrated on Southbound I 205. I used Hotels.com to locate a hotel in close proximity to where my mishap occurred. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find a mobile Internet special for this hotel, reducing the cost of my overnight stay significantly. Thank you for making these opportunities possible.

Was ok for the purpose of sleep.

We stayed here for one night on the way from California to Seattle. It was surprisingly quiet, clean and comfortable. We had asked for a quiet room as we were exhausted after driving all day and weren't disappointed. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Breakfast in their sunny dining room was from a menu and not included in the price of the room. But, that was OK as I had a nice bowl of oatmeal with toasted almonds and raisins. I asked for more almonds and raisins and they cheerfully gave me more. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are also close to a huge mall and other stores. Gustav's German Restaurant is a favorite and that's just across the freeway.

The hotel is definitely dated/aged BUT it was very clean which is surprising to see in some of the older hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel restaurant staff were very friendly also. The hotel is conveniently located near several walkable restaurants such as Red Robin, Spaghetti Warehouse, and Chevy's (possibly more, but these were the only ones I stopped at). Also located next to a walkable shopping center with a Target which was convenient to grab some needed essentials without having to drive.

Hotel and staff were great. Heater in room growled a bit.

The hotel is very conveniently located, close to many restaurants and a big mall, movies and amenities. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. My only complaint - the rooms on the highway side by 205 are quite noisy. I wear hearing aids and usually when I take them out all noises go away. Not here. So stay here but ask for a room on the inside away from the highway and you will be just fine.

We came down from Seattle for an all day class to become certified Zumba Instructors. The Hotel was just down the street from the Athletic Club, close to a Subway and a Starbucks. Totally Awsome. We had a great time!
