Area didn't look great but it was very safe, no issues, hotel was good

Fine for a 2 star hotel. Wino hangout at the bottom of the street just a few hundred feet from hotel. Very close to freeway and where I needed to go.

This hotel was close to sights but the location is pretty sketchy. If you're looking for just a bed for the night, this is ok. The room was pretty small and the breakfast area was really small. The building looked unkempt. There were piles of office chairs in the parking lot and the stairwel looked like a storage area. Our room was on the first floor with the window looking out of an alley. I didn't know how secure this was and was afraid for our belongings. We put a do not disturb sign on our door but housekeeping came in anyway.

The hotel was nice inside. Needs more parking spots. Great breakfast for a continental breakfast. Close to attractions but not too close to all hotels to be crowded.

Very satisfied with the room and staff. Breakfast was as described in other reviews. Yes you must drive to the beach but not too bad of a drive at all...just minutes down the way and on the main strip to lots of bars/food....both family friendly and couples scene...everything else was nearby using closeby freeway entrances...we loved the convenience and comfort and would def stay again!

Good stay, great room and comfortable took a long time to refill food and fruit at the breakfast area, but great attitude from the person in charge.

We stayed for one night. Thank goodness we did. We came there to park and it was so narrow only four parking lanes and then you have to park in the garage thats even worse. All the cars were close together and inside the hotel hallways it had an odd smell that our whole family didn't like. Would not recommend this

The room was clean and comfortable. I believe it was recently refurbished. The temporary parking area used when you need to check in was small and tough to get a space in. The regular parking area was fine. It's easy to miss the driveway for this place...it's hard to tell it's the right place to pull in. Didn't utilize the breakfast, but did get coffee, which was good. Will be staying again in May.

Hotel is great for the price. Rooms are pretty nice and clean. Location is ok, meaning that is close driving distance to many places, but nothing to do around the hotel. Free breakfast, free parking, free wi-fi and no dog fees, this is what makes this place great!

Hotel and room were both clean. Breakfast was much better than anticipated (waffles, sausage, bacon), and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Would stay here again on future trips to San Diego.

I used your hotel as it was quite convenient for me with access to freeway for getting to work. The room was quite adequate and very clean. The chair at the desk however needed to be re-upholstered. It was torn and tattered. Also, the bathtub drain was very slow. I did address the issue with the front desk to let them know that the drain needed to be cleared. I was so looking forward to using the Jacuzzi and pool only to find out it was under constructiion;. Had I known that at the time, I would have booked elsewhere. Other than that, I was pleased with my stay. Thank you.

The hotel staff was excellent! Made my wife and I feel very comfortable during our 4 night stay. The location was perfect for our needs. Close to I-5 and the airport. Will stay there again next year.

We stayed at La Quinta for the entire week and had a great experience. Our dogs loved the stay and so did we (since there is no pet fee :) ) All the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Great stay!!

Very happy with our room----modern and clean. Breakfast was very good: good selection and quality. Location was fairly close to our events----otherwise not a part of town we would typically stay. Overall, a great place.

This was a pleasant stay. Breakfast is pretty good with cheese omlettes, waffles, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, juices and milk. Rooms are a little small as we are a family of four but they are recently remodeled.

Everything you'd expect from a 2-3 star hotel. The immediate neighborhood is not exciting, but Mission / Pacific Beach is within a 10 minutes drive (in traffic). So location-wise it's very good (with a car). HBO channel didn't work on TV, but I was not bothered enough to even mention it to the Reception people.

The service was great and the re-modeled hotel was very well done. The rooms are huge, the bed was comfortable, and the place was very clean. The style was nicer than your standard hotel in this price range. I will definitely stay here again. The only negative is the location. While it's right off Garnet, which is a main road, it's a very busy road since it leads to the beach. Coming back from the beach takes a little work, especially if you miss the u-turn that gets you back..

The staffs are very nice and friendly but the facility is a dump. Parking structure is very bad and is so hard to park. The hall way smells so bad ... needs good ventilation. Room is very small just like Motel6. The elevator looks like it's ready to break down. At least breakfast is good.

We would not stay here again. The neighborhood is scary, making it uncomfortable to walk to a nearby restaurant. The lobby entrance is unimpressive, and the smell upon entering is unpleasant (the rooms smell the same). The beds were comfortable, but the smell made you wonder about the cleanliness. Another positive was the breakfast, which was well-stocked and tasty.

It was good. I had a good time. The staff were very nice and provided very good service.

Loved it! Staff was very friendly and helpful, location was close to everything I needed to get to, and it was just a relaxing place.

This hotel was recently remodled which could be nice if it was kept up i got the feeling that because of the recent remodel the staff did not feel the need to clean as well as they could have. If I had not booed through hotels.com who had already charged my credit card I would have checked out and found a different hotel. The walls by the elevators were filthy, there was a noticible area around our toilet that was dirty when we checked in and was never cleaned the five days we were there! I wiped a portion of the area with a tissue to see if it would come off (it did) then left the tissue there to see if the area would be cleaned that night the tissue was gone and the area still dirty. The location of the hotel was very convenient right off of the five freeway. The sheets seemed clean I was slightly comforted by the fact that they were white as it would be difficult to hide complete fith.as many others have said the parking is difficult especially if you have an SUV, parking spaces are extremely small and parking is limited. Finding a dolly to transport luggage was very difficult traveling with two children for a week we had quite a bit of belongings that I ended up packing on the stroller to bring to the room.The breakfast was convenient especially traveling with kids....i would stay away from the hot food though. I made the mistake of wating the eggs and paid for it for two days after...no fun on a vacation.

I was completely satisfied with my stay at the Seven Seas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds felt like a mini tropical paradise, and my room was great. I would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at la Quinta inn in mission bay was great. The rooms were modernly decorated and clean. Service was great,food was delicious, and the pool was delightful. FINDING the hotel was real tricky, BUT its not too far from downtown SD and other great attractions. My family and I would definitely stay again!

Hotel has been remodelled in the past year or so so most things are pretty new. Breakfast is great. Room is clean and the staff are really friendly and helpful. However the air conditioner is not positioned very well - even in October the room was really hot - when we turned the air conditiner on the person sleeping close to it is freezing and the rest of the room is hot. Also the extractor fan in the bathroom is not sufficient - like being in a sauna after taking a shower. Bring shampoo etc - they provide only 1 small shampoo and 1 soap for 4 people.

Pros: Friendly staff, inexpensive stay for families, good breakfast, rooms nicely redecorated in an asian theme, good place to stay if you are hopping on and off the freeway (once you figure out how to access the entrance to the hotel) Cons: Hard to find, not close to beach, no nice restaurants nearby ( only Mc Donalds & In-N-Out), pool area needs cleaning and restoration, landscaping around the pool was littered with cigar and cigarette butts, the common areas are not air-conditioned so the breakfast room was very hot.

24 X 7 coffee was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful rooms, even more beautiful bathrooms, great location and the staff bent over backwards for us not only once but twice during some travel hiccups we dealt with. Clean pool and hot tub and The breakfast included was a real breakfast. We were very happy with the rates as well. We will definitely be returning.

Hotel staff was polite and helpful. Our room was clean and the design was obviously newly redecorated, which was a plus. Other than that, the other hotel services left a lot to be desired. The "fitness center" consisted of a tiny room with a broken air conditioner, a broken elliptical, two broken bikes, and a semi-working treadmill. The breakfast (although free) was cheap, and the best thing there ended up being the fruit.

OUR STAY WAS EXCELLENT. HOTEL WAS COMPLETELY BOOKED BUT THE STAFF HANDELED IT VERY WELL.

It was fine for the family. The room was clean. They don't have central air so there was an influx of the temperature but not a reason to not stay. Breakfast was not continental. More than we expected. It had make your own waffles, eggs, toast, cereal, biscuits and gravy, bacon, etc. The scrambled eggs were just okay but the full breakfast was a nice surprise. The pool was good for the family. We had an activity to do and we had fun.

Nicely updated room. Better than average.

I like the hotel service people so friendly

The hotel was very clean and newly renovated. I was very please with the room and very pleased with the breakfast. The staff greeted us each time we entered the front doors and plenty of free parking.

The hotel has been upgraded and was quite nice. It included parking which is an added bonus in the San Diego area. Nice continental breakfast, and most of all the staff was well trained. Great Customer Service. We will stay there again.
