Holiday Inn SoHo - ניו יורק

Location was great, though the rooms were not comfortable. Mattresses were a complete joke, I felt like I was staying sleeping at some run down airport motel. The mattresses must have been 50 years old. The toilet in the bathroom was so large and stuck out in the middle of the bathroom that you could barely move around without always touching the toilet. Though the shower was great. Water pressure was the best thing in the room. I'm used to small NYC rooms (we travel to NYC often) but the beds were the deal breaker on this one for me.

Tight room for price

Room was clean and functional (although a small fridge would have been nice). Nothing negative yet nothing to wow. It served the purpose. I still wonder could have I done better for the price...

Could have been closer to family wedding.Room was clean,staff helpful and courteous.Would prefer to be able to get coffee in the lobby vs. the coffee pot in room!Overall the stay was good.

The hotel was well worth the money, it was clean, service was friendly and it was very close to Canal St subway. This hotel is not fancy, but I only slept there. If you want something really nice you'll have to spend more money. The rooms are small. My only criticism was the lack of restaurants within the block of the hotel. It's more in Chinatown than Soho. The only food options open very late was McDonalds & 7 eleven. But all you need to do is walk up to Little Italy or even Soho and there are plenty of decent food options. I'll definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel due to its convenience and price. It is right next to Canal St. station which gives easy access to the entire subway system. Since the hotel is right in between Chinatown, Little Italy and SOHO, it is very easy to get to many good restaurants and all the shopping on Broadway.

It was not very comfortable. It was too noisy and uncomfortable too sleep which was really disappointing. You could hear every conversation from the nearby rooms

I have to say, awesome experience. For the price you cannot beat the room and the service. And Stephen at the front desk was WONDERFUL!

Close to subway access and great convenience within hotel - bar, restaurant, and concierge service even stored our bags!

I had booked one non-smoking room with 2 double beds for four adults. However, according to the the front desk a lot of the 2 double bed rooms had been damaged the night before so they gave us 2 separate queen rooms and comp'd the 2nd room. That was great! However, upon entering the very nice looking room we were blasted with smoke! The room said non-smoking on the outside but on the desk inside there were matches and an ash tray. Our friends who got the other room complained of the same smell. We were able to open the window to air the room out a bit. Other than the smoke smell the room was nice but small. The bed was very comfortable but my husband's feet hung off the bottom of the bed, he's 6'3".

My room was cold and had a draft, couldn't get me a room till the next day. VERY small room, my drawers hit my bed, but high ceilings. BTW be aware they do not have a continental breakfast, which is my fault that I didn't ask. But their fault for not saying anything till I sat down with my food... and no buffet is worth $18.95, especially this one.

overall i was very happy with my stay. it was very standard like any other hotel you would stay in, comparable to a hilton. the room was clean, the bed comfortable, the plumbing worked, staff polite, responsive and professional. i would stay again. the only thing that may bother some people is that you can hear the subways go by below you, but hey this is NYC. I've stayed in nicer hotels where you could hear the doors slamming all night, or the ceiling and walls were so thin you could hear everything and hear footsteps pounding overhead- much more annoying.

Overall we were pleased. The location was good for exploring the Soho neighborhood and convenient to a number pof small but good eateries. Rooms are small but comfortable. I was traveling with two teens who wanted to sleep in a bit so I was a bit perturbed by a 9:00 am knock on the door to see if we needed maid service. Otherwise, we were very happy.

Overall this is a basic hotel. Plus points are the gym and free wi-fi and the bed was comfy. Bad points are: The rooms facing Lafayette St are directly above the vents for the subway that runs right underneath the sidewalk. It is very noisy from the subway and my room actually shook on many occassions (even on the 7th floor!) The windows are not double glazed or soundproofed at all, so you would be well advised to bring earplugs for sleeping. The management should as a matter of urgency double glaze the bedrooms- this should be standard for a 24 hour city like NY. The heating/cooling in the room is via a window mounted unit that makes a horrendous noise when in operation. Again, the noise will disturb you so you need to leave it off at night- meaning the room is going to be either too cold or too hot. The Holiday Inn brand name probably saves this hotel but overall I wouldnt recommend unless you get a good rate and need to be in lower manhattan for any reason

This hotel was a good deal, but it was listed as a 4 star and is really a 3 star. The rooms are small, and I would say the hotel is in Chinatown. Although the shops and such in SoHo are not too far a walk. Didn't have any problems, but wasn't wowed either. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay in NYC and aren't worried about the bells and whistles you may like this hotel.

it was wonderful. hotel and staff was wonderful, this hotel is a place that you must stay at...

The hotel room is small, with a king-size bed taking up most of the floor space. This is a tourist hotel, not a business hotel, as there is no in-room safe to store your laptop computer. The room was heated by an in-window heating unit (air conditioner during the summer) that was quite noisy. I had it running continuously, so it provided a constant, sort of loud, white noise backdrop that overwhelmed any external sounds. The bed mattress was comfortable. It was a bit annoying being told upon checkout that I was being billed $48 for breakfast in the room that I didn't order, but they researched it and removed the charge from my bill.

The window wasn't sealed well and cold air blew through constantly. The curtain wouldn't lower enough to cover the crack. They offered to move us to another room but that room smelled awful so we stayed in the room with the bad window. No refrigerator in room. Pillows were nice-choice of firm or soft. Bed was fine. Room was quiet.

Ok hotel but it is located right on top of the subway which you hear all night as soon as a train comes in. I would not stay there again!

Hey it's not the waldorf but its a reasonable hotel in a great area !

This was the second time I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Soho. It's in a such a wonderful location, super close to bars, cafes, shops in soho and the lower east side in general. There's a subway stop 2 seconds away and you're a hop, skip and a jump to brooklyn. The rooms are modest but very well kept and comfortable (flat screens, air con, etc). The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the price is great. I look forward to staying there on my next trip to the big apple.

Subway stop is very convenient, easy cross street, good downtown location

We loved the hotel!! Very clean, and the staff was friendly. The rate I got on the room for a saturday was excellent. No complaints! Will definitely stay there again.

Closed to everything, Empire state building, Ground Zero, Brooklyn bridge, Chinatown, little Italy, Museum, NYSE and Liberty Statue.

This hotel is in a good position for exploring the city - an easy walk to Brooklyn Bridge, the Financial District, East Village, China Town - in fact we walked up to Midtown from here early on to get our bearings. The Subway is really close if you want a quicker journey north. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is what you would expect from a Holiday Inn (although the quality of the bath towels were the only consistently daily disappointment throughout the week). Would recommend to others and visit again if I was balancing practicality over a higher quality. Anyway, how much time do you expect to be in your hotel when in New York City...?!

On the whole, it was terrific except for the air-conditioner, which was too noisy when it was working, however, it was not that cold or hot at this time of the sean. Reception was good, and check out was so convenient and time-saving.

Was there in Oct 2012 during the hurricane, whether the hotel was out of power the staff had been friendly and helpful under all circumstances and despite the very hard conditions the bar remained open most of nights !

I was doubling about this hotel, since it is in the middle of chinatown... nothing earplugs cannt help with. I liked it a lot. very convenient. enxt to the metro... and to great deals! please get a massage from a massage place around the corner from the hotel (make a right and then right)... cheep and convenient... they are open until 2 am! Loved the hotel and the service. very clean. pleasant experience. i will stay there next month again.

It was a quick over-night stay and the service was good and arrangements went smoothly. I'd stay there again if I am in the area. I was very satisfied.
