very satisfied will stay again everyone at hotel was very nice and was very helpful with what ever we needed loved it hotel was in a great location we could walk to a lot of sights room was very clean and well kept

The Holiday Inn Historic District (Mulberry) was beautiful inside. It definitely gave you the feeling that you are in the historic district. It was cheaper to stay there than to get a room right next to River Street, but I found that it was a very short walk across the street to get to River Street. It is walking distance to both River Street, City Market, and several of the Squares. The location is great and the hotel is lovely. Great service at the hotel, too.

The Staf Were Friendly And Professional...Always Greeted With A Smile. The Hotel Was Immaculate And Gorgeous. The Location Was Ideal And Covenient To Everything. Parking Is Close And Convenient But Small Spaces And Not Enough Spaces. I Definitely Will Recommend The Mulberry And Plan To Stay There Again

Very nice hotel with lovely lobby complete with reading library, business computers, relaxing chairs. On the outside, adjoining the bar/restaurant is a courtyard for relaxing. Located right on the river with all shopping/restaurants within walking distance. One half of the building is smoking with the hallways smelling of cigars/pipes/cigarettes. Make sure you reserve a room in the non-smoking wing when you book. There is a separate elevator in that wing so you can avoid the smoky halls. You have to park in the parking garage across the street at $12 per day added to your bill when you leave. That's still cheaper than most midtown/downtown hotels. Would definitely stay there again!

The old stereotype of a Holiday Inn was thrown out the window at this historic hotel. The locals call it The Mulberry. The service by the staff was excellent. The room was nice and clean with plenty of room for the two of us. The afternoon wine & lemonade social from 4 to 6 was a nice and relaxing touch. The hotel had a nice breakfast area - buffet or menu that you paid for (but very reasonable). The hotel was right by the river area with walkways to stores and restaurants. The hotel was also a stop on one of the local tour trolleys so you did not have to go elsewhere to find it. The trolley was a hop-on, hop-off type so you could visit the entire historic district at your leisure. There were 2,000 houses & buildings that were on the National Historic Register. Access to highways was easy whether you were going to Bybee Island or Hilton Head area.

My husband & I splurged because it's pricier than what we usually book, but the hotel is quite nice. We didn't like that there wasn't a complimentary breakfast for the price we paid, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Savannah is a beautiful city & this hotel fits right in. The room was very spacious & clean. The bed was very comfortable. I loved that we had a balcony overlooking the pool. Overall, we loved it!

Checked in late on a Saturday evening only to rush out the door for dinner reservations. Arrive back to the room late that night to discover that the carpets in the room were wet from a cleaning they must of done prior to our arrival. New Room? No booked solid. So we had a wet musty stinky room for 3 days. Dog friendly? Sure a little. The first morning we went to breakfast with our dogs and asked if we could sit outside and eat with our pets. The outside area with tables is 10 feet from where everyone else is enjoying breakfast. No those tables are not in service so we had to pay to get the breakfast buffet to go. Really? There is always a "grey area" when you have guests with a simple request such as walking a few steps outside. Hot tub? No it wasn't working. Tried it for 2 days and even mentioned it to the front desk. Overall I tried to give my girl a great birthday getaway weekend, but it just ended up being a $200 a night "ok" stay.

Our stay was absolutely beautiful. This hotel is awesome.

One of the most charming Hotels I've stayed in. Right in thr center of the historic district and close to the riverfront shops and restaurants.

Very nice hotel, very clean. No valet parking but parking deck is very convenient. Even though I informed the desk at check in we had three guests I had to keep requesting extra towels. A DVD disappeared from our room but we did not realize it till we got home.

Great staff. Nothing like winding down with afternoon wine and cheese accompanied by Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue played on the baby grand in the lobby. Wish I had reserved additional nights.

Loved the hotel but had to call regarding a broken toilet and loud kids next door. Sue immediately moved and upgraded us to a suite away from the noise. We will stay here again and definitely recommend to our friends!

Loved the hotel and the location. Awesome that it was once a Coca-Cola bottling plant. The staff wasn't very friendly when checking in. A little pricey but would probably stay there again.

The hotel was nice, slightly above average I'd say. The service was fantastic, everyone who worked there was very accommodating. Our first room was near the street and at night was very loud due to the traffic...we slept horribly. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and they promptly moved us to a new, quieter room.

Very impressed! Beautifully appointed hotel and rooms with garden patio to sit or eat in anytime of day. When you think it couldn't get any better, they offered wine and cheese from 4-6 everyday. I wanted to live there.! When the tour bus dropped us off at the door, you could hear the collective sighs of admiration. Nice breakfast...choice of continental or order from the menu. Two nights just wasn't enough.

Used to having at least a little to complain about! Wish I could have stayed longer! So convenient to the historic district and the waterfront restaurants! Absolutely NOTHING out of place!

beautiful hotel all clean personel very friendly only probleme was the noise in my room. I heard the trucks, people talking etc.. From the street. Ask for a room away from bay street because theres a lot of traffic and you hear it all.

Hotel bar closes before listed hours. Guess not enough business.

Very nice staff and location

We had a great time. The front desk staff was very helpful with a mixup we had. Small maintenance issues in the rooms, but overall it was a nice stay. The location and parking were extremely convenient for sightseeing in the city as well as driving out to Tybee.

Our room was very clean, the service was wonderful.We were welcomed with smiles from the whole staff and were very helpful. The location of the hotel is right on the river, across the street which was a perfect location for us. We are planning to get married in Savannah next year and definately planning on using their hotel for out guests. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

The hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly. We got there on a friday afternoon after driving for 4 hours and were greeted by a very friendly face at the desk, there was a pianist playing in the lobby and, to our delight, there was a wine and cheese reception for the guests! Our only sad moment was when we discovered a broken hot tub when we went to relax after wandering all over Savannah. One other thing to note: the hotel is on a busy road so there is a bit of road noise if you are in one of the outer rooms, but not too bad. The Mulberry Inn makes it to convenient to walk into town or down to River Street. Loved it!

A little expensive for the quality of stay. Room was average. Bathroom had wallpaper coming off wall, white flakes of ceiling were falling off. Smelled old and musty. Not the best place I've stayed downtown, but not the worse. Will definitely be staying somewhere else next time. I do remember when the Mulberry was top tier.....it's and average stay as best now.......The staff however was excellent!

Great, very enjoyable

overall very nice, room clean, staff more than nice. Highly recommend.

It was nice except for the fact that the hotel was having a part in the quad, and they were playing music around midnight and it could be heard throughout the hotel. They had no consideration for any of the other guest in the hotel.

We traveled to Savannah from Miami on the way the North Carolina on the day before Thanksgiving, with a stopover here for a travel break and to try the Thanksgiving buffet for which this hotel is noted. The service was excellent. Food at the breakfast was more like a 4 for the buffet, but this was perhaps because there were fewer guests on the night before the holiday. The Thanksgiving meal was very excellent. The hotel was well furnished and very clean.

We arrrived to find out that they had no more rooms with two queen beds. They said that our room would be a suite with king bed and queen pull out sofa. I didn't appreciate that and in the future if I dont get what I order I guess I will have to go through the hotel itself. i also will get an inside room instead of outside. It was very noisy all night.

The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff was very friendly. However, if we return I will request a room away from Bay Street. Our room was the corner room on the first floor and the traffic noise made it very difficult to sleep. The noise was continuous throughout the night.

We have stayed at the Mulberry many times before. Think it is time they update. The air conditioner was so loud that it kept waking me up all night. The breakfast buffet used to be much better. Might have to rethink next stay.

Great hotel service and amenities. A Holiday Inn with a five star feeling.

I was in Savannah for a one night stay and opted to stay at the Mulberry. I was really impressed with the atmoshpere of the hotel, its accomodations, and location. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the near future.

Very strong mildew spell in the room. The bathroom drain to the shower /tub had to be hand held to drain. Otherwise we loved the historic and convenient location and the staff were very helpful.

Definitely on the older side of things, air conditioner was very loud and difficult to get a steady setting on. Be aware, things that are posted on the placards for hotel events and lounge hours don't always match whats actually going to happen - so ask. Not sure how they operate the lounge, but not open most of the time(even in what would be considered normal operation times - Sat afternoon on college football weekend, closed at 10:00 pm ish on Fri and Sat nites). Would have been nice to have a cool one after a long day of walking. Also, putting a nineteen year old behind the front desk that is not from the area and is clueless on directions - probably not such a good idea. Not planning on coming back to this one!
