Berlin Plaza Hotel am Kurfuerstendamm - ברלין

A very comfortable hotel in Charlottenburg, which is the nicest area of Berlin. I got a very good deal on a four-day stay booking the morning of the day I checked in. The U-bahn is just down the road and Berlin's transport system is amongst the best in the world, so it's very easy to get to other parts of the city. Charlottenburg itself is full of beautiful shops and great bars and restaurants. But, as other reviewers have pointed out, it's best to be at least conversant in German to go here as all the staff, including in the attached bar and restaurant, prefer to speak their own language, which is understandable. Luckily I can, and as a result everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The single room I occupied had a comfortable bed and a great bathroom and was very quiet. A very good internet connection is also available for free.

this is a tourist production line and totally german oriented very few foreigners no English translations on form like on how do you like us form breakfast looked ok but tight seating rooms good size tv good great area I dealt with two rude young people @ reception that spoke poor English and didn't care period. very unpleasant place no fun

Terrific little hotel just off the Ku'damm. One member of staff could've been friendlier, but otherwise I feel this is a gem of a reasonably-priced hotel. S-Bahn station and plenty of restaurants close by, nice area of town.

We found the hotel adequate for our 3 day stay. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The price was very affordable. Our only complaint was the hallways just outside our room smelled of smoke/stale cigarette, although it was a no smoking facility. The carpets in the room were worn and dirty but the staff tidied the rooms and changed out towels every day.

We booked this hotel only after reading a million reviews, so we knew the rooms would be very small. But, again we only had a day to spend there and needed easy access to the 109 bus from the airport (10 min. walk). During the day we took a Hop-On bus (10 min to boarding stop) on both routes to see the entire city. I had done an indepth stay in Berlin, and my husband just wanted to see sights he'd read about. Turned out OK since it was in the 30's all day. Both nights we walked to restaurants close by. Everything is near to the hotel, including Hard Rock (if you like those) a typical beer hall, and a very trendy Italian restaurant where you order at a counter with their own debit card and pay as you exit. Excellent choice and food. The hotel itself has a German restaurant that was usually full. Not our kind of food, but they had a reasonable bar. This hotel is good for the price and close to lots of action.

qquite satisfied. We were surprised that we were charged for leaving our luggage at the hotel after check out for just a few hours. This is the very first time that any hotel has charged has charged us for leaving the luggage at the hotel after check out , just for 4 hours, until we returned back home.

Very friendly staff. Great restaurant with traditional German dishes. Look out for the small 24 hour store oppposite the hotel to pick up a late night or early morning hot drink - very useful as there are no drink making facilities in the room.

I was surprised by the hotel because the price was very cheap. The room was clean and the bed was ok. Wi Fi was good + free. Overall a good experience. Only issue i had was that for whatever reason the staff tried to charge me for the breakfast for each of my 4 nights of stay. I explained i've paid in advance and i decided against breakfast (cheaper + i get up late) and that i never stepped foot in the breakfast room during my stay. At this point she made me feel like a criminal insisting i pay for whatever reason. In the end, they sort of just angrily told me to just go and not to worry about it. Very odd but hopefully an isolated incident.

Very nice hotel, a pleasant, level walk to Zoo Gardens where there are buses and trains to main sights and beyond! Staff mostly helpful, especially breakfast staff - breakfast very good with plenty choices. Room pleasant and very clean. Fridge in room handy . Good shower with shower gel provided, also liquid soap in bathroom. No tea/coffee making facilities for that morning cuppa though. Yes, we would visit this hotel again.

Cozy hotel just off the main drag in West Berlin and about a block from the U-Bahn station "Ulandstrasse". The room was small, not too much room around the very comfortable queen size bed. The bathroom was top grade with an excellent stall shower. Included in the price of the room was a full breakfast buffet that would easily cost 20 euros in most other hotels. Another added benefit was the hotel restaurant "Knese" which offered a 10% discount to hotel guests. My wife ordered liver and she felt it was the best she had ever eaten. I am not a fan of liver so I ordered Wiener Schnitzel and it was also excellent. All in all, this is a great little hotel that provides quality service and has a great restaurant.

The best breakfast ever, buffet style, fresh fruit salad, juice, muisli, yoghurts,cold meats, cheeses, breads, scrambled egg, bacon and service with a smile. great room, quiet street, easy check in and out. will definitely stay there again!

My 5th visit - always welcome at this hotel - great location !! Good rooms - friendly and helpful staff - great breakfast !!

Very nice hotel in a great neighborhood. Plenty of shops and restaurants. It is not within walking distance of the major sights but there is plenty of mass transit that can get you there. Clean comfortable rooms. Would go there again

Berlin Plaza Hotel am Kurfuerstendam is very central and great value for money. the hotel and room was spotless great breakfast, close to rail stations and underground. would definitely stay there again.

Big advantage it offers free and fast Wi-Fi. All rest were good and corresponding to the price. Location excellent. Breakfast (free) average.

This privately owned hotel in the heart of the City-West area close to the Kudamm is a real pleasure. Having shopped around for a while this is now my hotel of choice when working in Berlin. From the outside it is a little dated and inside the rooms could do with a spruce up, although they are spotless. The staff are always helpful and friendly, the rates are good with no surcharge for breakfast or wi-fi, and it is an overall pleasurable experience. The only small complaint was that there seems to be insufficient breakfast seating, but it could just be that the hotel has been busy which is a good sign. Recommended.

This hotel is a decent hotel in a great location right on Berlin's main shopping street. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The free Internet was not the fastest, but it worked and was fine for e-mailing, etc. My only complaint are the beds--they were rather soft and uncomfortable. You could feel each metal spring as you laid on it. Since most people spent most of their time in a hotel room sleeping, the beds really should be improved. If you can tolerate the beds, this is a good and inexpensive place to explore the city. If you are looking for a hotel for a special occasion, this might not be the one.

Staff on reception very apathetic.Hotel in severe need of lick of paint.Rooms very small.Carpets seen better days.Breakfast lacking imagination. Location and surrounding areas are excellent.Just stay at a different hotel. Hotel is 3 star but closer to 2 than four.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We travelled with our 18 month old son and a travel crib was set up in our room when we arrived. Being pregnant, I was pleasantly surprised with the comfortable bed. The best part of the hotel was the location. It was walking distance from Kurfurseterdamn (a main shopping and restaurant street) and the zoo. The breakfast was plentiful with an assortment of juices, cereals, cheeses, meats, eggs, sausage, yogurts, and bacon. The room and bathroom were small for US standards, but average here in Europe. All-in-all our stay was pleasant and the price can't be beat. We would definitely stay again. There's an incredible Middle-Eastern restaurant across the street with delicious food and belly dancers

Excelent Hotel, near bus, metro, nice localization, excelent staff. Good restaurant hotel and breakfast.

Vores ophold på 2 enkeltværelser var problemfrit og glimrende. Sengene lidt bløde og måtte bede om en ekstra pude, da en sådan ikke fandtes i skabet. Aircondition mangler. Venligt og imødekommende personale. God tilknyttet (tysk mad) restaurant med rabat til gæster - fornemt! Parkering i særklasse nemt og ikke dyrt. Beliggenhed fås ikke meget bedre.

Havde 4 gode dage, vi boede godt til en fornuftig pris. Værelset var lille men pænt og rent, dejligt badeværelse. En god morgenbuffet, med lune retter. Personalet var venlige. Kan anbefales. Ligger lige ved bus og s-tog. H og J Varde

Hotel bien situé pour une visite de ville à pied ou en bus; à proximité de l'hotel restaurants et brasserie vous permettront de vous restaurer après une journée de marche... Petit déjeuner de modeste qualité et salle trop petite pour acceuillir tous les clients en début de journée

Fin adgang til offentlige transport. Man kan næsten ikke komme tættere på shopping ved Kurfûrstendamm. Meget fint og rent hotel, venligt og hjælpsomt personale.

Das Hotel liegt ruhig aber sehr nah am Ku'damm - super. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten in die Stadt. Sehr sauber, netter Service. Verspätetes Auschecken bis 13:00 kostenlos mgl. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Merkwürdiger Geruch im Bad.

Lite otur med rum mot gatan på våning 2. Vaknade tidigt p g a lastning/lossning av lastbilar.

Fick ett mycket bra intryck direkt. Fin och fräsch hotellobby och tillmötesgående personal. Rummet var i utmärkt skick och det var rent och fint. Vi fick till och med en egen balkong, även om utsikten var mot en bakgård så gjorde det inte så mycket. Läget var kanon med ett stenkast till stor affärsgata och massa kommunikationer. En restaurang i anslutning till hotellet med god mat och service ger 10% rabatt på all mat och dryck om man är gäst. Toppennöjd med vistelsen och väldigt prisvärt med tanke på att vi gav under 600kr per person för tre nätter!
