Poorest free continental breakfast I have ever seen, took the grandkids to McDonald's

I was very surprised at how nice this hotel was considering what we paid. It was clean from the lobby to our room. I was impressed that the pool was open 24 hours and breakfast until 11 we didn't feel rushed to get around the next morning. The only complaint was that the guy who checked us in could have been a little more pleasant but we have been helped by worse.

We had a great stay at the New Victorian Inn. We stayed for the weekend visiting family in Norfolk for Easter. They put a late arrival on my room on Friday so we were still able to get it. Very clean, comfortable room. The only thing I didn't like was that on side of the hallway there were smoking rooms so the hallway smelled of smoke. There were pets in the hotel but we never heard them. We would stay there again!!!

Great Service!

Had a great stay for our honeymoon but the halls smelled like smoke. Our room was great though.

good place to stay

The hotel staff were very helpful in giving us the directions we needed at the time. The location is right off the main highway and convenient. We would definitely stay there again when we go to Norfolk.

The room was surprisingly quiet,clean, and very comfortable

All was good until a dog upstairs started barking and didn't stop for about ten minutes. I think it would have been better if all people with dogs would have been confined to one area, away from people without.

Got in late at the hotel tired and weary from a long driving day and found out there wasn't an elevator in the hotel. Don't know how they get around that. Walls paper thin, but room clean and front desk clerk nice. Breakfast mediocre, but included. Hotel very dated.

Staff was friendly even though it was a very late check in. Room was right next to housekeeping so kind of noisy early in morning but had to leave early anyway. Overall a good stay and if in area again, I'll stay again

We were very pleased with our stay at the Norfolk Inn. Quiet, clean, and thank goodness for the ac - temps were 100 every day. Keep up the good work. D & R Tillman

Wall are very thin. Didnt get much sleep as you hear every little noise. Would have been better off driving home.

Overall, the New Victorian Inn was comfortable and adequate. The room was very outdated. The breakfast was the typical continental breakfast with fruit, cereal, hot biscuits and gravy, yogurt, etc. I’d stay there again, but nothing exceptional for the good or the bad here.

Pros: price, breakfast selection had good variety including different fruits, gravy and biscuits, hard boiled eggs as well as typical continental cereals & pastries. Staff very friendly. Cons: room very small, beds old and hard, Room very stuffy when we arrived. Not a comfortable room at all.

Some of the guests staying in my area were loud all night long and the area was close to the reception but nobody from the hotel staff even bothered with it. I would rather listen to dogs barking (of which I heard none) than people. Dogs bark because that is what dogs do-people choose to be inconsiderate. Would not stay again. Did not have a restful stay.

It was fine.... our room looked a little out dated... other than that everything was fine

We started in The Business Suite. It featured a king-size bed facing a vanity, sink and the largest over-sink mirror we had ever seen-- easily six feet wide by four feet tall. The shower and commode were in a separate room with a door-- but no sink in there. To the left of the bed was an alcove with a whirlpool-- no door to this area either. My 84-year-old mother and I found this arrangement somewhat disturbing; we asked to move to a different room, and the staff gladly provided an alternative. This was arranged more traditionally. Both rooms seem to have been updated recently--nice sinks and firm berber carpet. We had originally asked for a room with a foldout sofa-- I don't recommend sleeping on that, but it will do. The atmosphere was pleasant, but not Victorian. An OK place for an overnight stop.

the hotel, staff & accomidations were top-notch! very satisfied with this place and will stay there again!!!

I showed up in Norfolk sporting a new pair of crutches and a newly pieced together knee. The staff at the desk not only made sure I was on street level, but also went on to shuffle other people/reservations in the party (wedding guests) that would have been adversely effected by my last minute special accommodations. This was somehow accomplished under near or fully booked conditions .. and was certainly neither required, nor even expected, of either the motel or the staff. It was all personal .. and actually unsolicited .. effort on the part of a very pleasant and efficient front desk. Kudos, folks! A great job .. and we all very much appreciated your going the extra mile.

The reviews I read prior to my booking said staff was very friendly and helpful. That is precisely why I chose this hotel over and above any other hotel. I would have to agree and would highly recommend anyone needing a room in Norfolk or Lincoln Nebraska to stay at the New Victorian Inn. I was there because my mother was in critical condition in the local hospital. She made a wonderful unexpected recovery and was transfered to a Lincoln rehab center. When I went to the front desk to check out and ask for a refund which I was pretty sure I could not get since I was not giving a 24 hours notice, to my surprise she said yes, no problem. I told her how satisfied I was with the staff starting with the girl who booked our room who was also very helpful and all the way through our stay. Breakfasts were good. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I asked did they have a hotel in Lincoln. It's funny, they did and it was within blocks of the re-hab center mom was being transfered to. They called ahead and held me a room for the entire time I was in Lincoln. They even gave me a hospital discount. Bonus!! Both were great hotels and had superior customer service. It was nice to place all my worries with mom and know I did not have to worry about any part of the hotel stay.

very nice experience Had a family reunion in Norfolk, thus several families of my group stayed there. Every thing was nice, pool was great, and the Breakfast was super. Good job. The staff very helpful.

Originally, my daughter and I were the only ones coming for the soccer tournament, but my husband came, too, and I forgot that I had reserved a room with one king bed. Deanna, the manager, was very nice and was able to get us in a king suite with a pull-out sofa so that we all had a place to sleep. I was grateful because all of the hotels in town were booked solid! They have a wide selection for breakfast - pancakes, waffles, french toast, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, muffins, bagels, etc. I was pleasantly surprised! The best part was that their breakfast stays open later than most hotels - 11:00am all week, and 12:00 on Sundays! Our soccer games weren't until 12:30, so it was great to be able to sleep in and still eat breakfast for free! Internet works great! Rooms have nice refrigerators and microwaves! We had a really nice, big flat screen t.v. Pool and hot tub are open 24 hrs a day, which is really nice - and unusual! We actually paid $5 less than many of our teammates who stayed at another hotel that isn't nearly as nice. It was $80 less per night than one of the hotels that some of our teammates stayed in! What a difference! I highly recommend the New Victorian Inn to anyone staying in Norfolk! Great value and great for families!

I booked the room for my family moving across country and the staff was extremely nice to them.

24 hour swimming pool access is a new idea to me. The pool was large, warm and clean.

My recent stay at the New Victorian Inn was a very pleasant one. The room was very clean, the continental breakfast was excellent and varied, the room had a great flat screen television, and the New Victorian Inn had an arrangement with ANYTIME FITNESS so the exercise facilities were top notch. Finally, the employees were helpful and friendly.

Beware, this hotel had multiple dogs throughout. the rooms and the barking, howling, and growling was aweful. If you don't want to sleep in a kennel, consider another hotel.

We like the New Victorian Inn. It isn't fancy or anything, but it's nice, peaceful n quiet. There's a comfortable bed, a big TV, great water pressure and decent bathroom... there's a microwave, fridge in room, has everything we need and is a good price for that. Even has a washer/dryer downstairs. The ever-ready biscuits and gravy for breakfast could use some seasoning, lol... but there are about 5 or 6 other non hot breakfast items available, bagels, donuts, fruit, etc. We will be back!

The hotel is nice and clean and the rooms were comfortable. No problems at all with this hotel.
