And also doors that go right to the floor - that would help to keep the noise down from other guests - nearly 3/4 inch gap at the bottom on mine. Lovely staff tho, and a good location. Well maintained overall. Room service was prompt and delicious - not massively expensive. Free breakfast was good considering the cost!!

Would stay again without hesitation

Staff came to the room after we checked-in to make sure we were satisfied with the room and to ask our opinion regarding the cleanliness of the room. (It was perfect.)

The staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I was impressed with the radio which was TEAC and had great tone. The hotel was quite full but not noisy. There were places to socialize and places to walk. Lots of available stores for shopping. Breakfast was included and very good.

Beds were super comfy parking was 16$ but had its own parking garage which was nice had an excellent breakfast the staff were super nice. would stay here again definitely

Good to have breakfast included. Easy walk downhill to waterfront and other restaurants and activities. Also hand for shopping on Spring Garden and visit to the Public Gardens. Nice large room and quiet .

Fantastic hotel in all ways from the rooftop BBQ, to the gym, view, room and especially the staff. We would definitely stay here on our next visit to Halifax.

We enjoyed our experience at the Cambridge Suites Hotel very much. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room very clean. The complementary breakfast was a highlight with many choices and the coffee delicious. We will return to the Cambridge Suites when next in Halifax.

The room was clean and well organized. The staff were very pleasent and the complimentary breakfast was nice. The hotel is too far away from the waterfront to have a view from your room. The parking garage is small and trecherous, parking was expensive and the staff actively discourage parking out front, overall the parking facilities are inadaquate. For tourists on foot, the hotel is a long walk from the waterfront, up a steep hill.

Good location, excellent service. We traveled with a dog and felt welcome. I will book the same place next time in Halifax. :-)

We loved te hotel, the room was nice, the continental breakfast was excellent and it was nice to walk everywhere downtown! We had a great view of the harbour!

We stay usually two or three times a year to attend a Dinner theatre or an event @ Metro Centre.We are always pleased. Disappointed this time that the restaurant is closed,but understand things happen & there are many close by. Really happy that a great Breakfast still included,. We never want to leave hotel to get Breakfast

Hotel location was reason for choice. We made it on time for cocktail hour which was VERY nice! Staff very personable and made us feel welcome. However, I walked over to restaurant to take a look where breakfast would be served next day and I saw a mouse , hopefully not a rat, scurrying across the restaurant. I privately told the reception attendant and I'm not sure what if anything could be done. We could not bring ourselves to eat breakfast there in the morning. we only stayed the open night before drive to Cabot Trail. A rather unfortunate incident since hotel was otherwise quite nice.

Other than wishing it wasnt at the top of the hill in Halifax, this hotel was a MOST EXCELLENT hotel. People were friendly/informative/helpful. I wish there was more on the free breakfast but other than that, my stay here was GREAT! I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel to friends in the future.

This hotel is right at the corner of The Citadel. It is very close to shopping, bars and restaurants. The suites are very spacious and the kitchen was very handy. The front parking lot and foyer of the hotel is very small. The free hot breakfast is a good help.

There were 4 of us in the party, myself, my wife and 2 children. When my wife made the reservation we were told we had 2 queen beds, when we checked in it was a queen and a pull out, not that big of a deal. We are booked in for 4 people and when we get there, there are only 3 towels and face clothes in the room, then we know there is no smoking in the building, but I tell you the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. On the plus side, the roof top deck with BBQ is a real nice feature. Overall we were kind of disappointed.

My sisters and I had a wonderful time and we will definitely stay there again when we come back for our "city fix".

My favourite place to stay in Halifax, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, great food. Very convenient location, I leave my car parked and walk to shop, sight see, see a movie.

Check in was efficient, close to the places we wanted to go to - within walking distance, suitable breakfast, check out was efficient, room was clean and comfortable - everything we needed except a shower cap (got one at the Main Desk)

Not only did I not receive the room I had booked, but myself and two other guests received numerous noise complaints at 10 pm. We were playing a board game on New Years Eve. Not making much noise at all. The hotel was also very expensive with not much to offer. I was also charged X amounts of $ for under ground parking when I could have parked in the upper area for no charge. I was not even informed of this or the fact that I would be charged at all for parking. I will continue to let people know how they should not book through Expedia or stay at this hotel!

Both my wife and I were very pleased with our stay. Only thing that we would have like to see was for the hotel to have either a pool or a hot tub.

I was very satisfied with my stay at Cambridge Suites Halifax. I definitely would recommend it to other. In fact I shall be returning on Dec 12th 2011

Hotel was great in every way. To bad for us when we stayed there was a few rooms of people that thought they where the only guess on the floor and kept us up till 3 am. The staff had to get the cops in to help get them out. But the quality of the hotel was great

We stayed in a studio suite on the third floor for two nights and had a great time. The hotel is opposite the citidal and about four blocks from the harbour (all down hill) so be prepared for the walk back. The reception staff were always welcoming and helpful with a special mention for Andie and Holley. Our room was excellent and with a view of the harbour.The Cambridge suites will be our hotel of our choice on our next visit to Halifax.

We were very disappointed with the hallway noise. People talking and room doors closing were very loud in the hotel room.

Excellent service, helpful staff, convenient location, modern decor tastfully done, clean, airy room with good view of harbor, furniture in tip top condition, reasonable rates.

I had reserved my room in May for last week in September and when I checked in, was put in conference room with a giant table and chairs, on a folddown bed. Very disappointed!

Very nice hotel, loved the 1:00 PM check out. Gives a little more time to relax and rest before getting on the road again. Only problem is short continental breakfast time offered..very short and too early. But great location for walking and sightseeing in Halifax

We very much enjoyed our suite with a harbour view. The room was beautiful and we wished we stayed longer!

The Cambridge Suites Hotel is a great hotel, in a great location. The Citadel is a short walk away and the harbour front is about 10 minutes away. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay downtown Halifax.
