Days Inn Ankeny - Des Moines - אנגני

We were given a smoking room although we requested a non smoking room. We're not sure if they ran out of non smoking rooms or what the problem was.

Stayed 2 nights, would go back again.

This motel fit our budget. We were just there overnight. We needed an inexpensive, clean place to stay. Breakfast was sufficient.

Price was good but hotel needed maintenance-had outside window pane missing & was very old when the wind picked up!

The bed was comfortable, room was clean with some minor wear and tear, some hoise from adjacent room but usually quiet, courteous service. Breakfast a little sparser than some, but nice to have. We stayed there for four nights while visiting family for Thanksgiving and were very satisfied. Great value for the price!

Breakfast was good. Bed and Pillows were comfortable. The staff was very helpful.

The title says it all. The room was not cleaned from the previous customers. Stains of who knows what were all over the bedspreads, blankets and sheets. If you can book elsewhere, I highly recommend that you do.

This is an older hotel with some wear in the common areas but the stay was great. Extremely comfortable beds and pillow and the price was excellent. I would definately stay here again and recommend it to others.

Traffic noise was very loud. Radio alarm clock didn't work. No convenient outlet for electronic charger.

Overall the room comfortable. The room was clean and the continental breakfast included waffles. Close to shopping and restaurants. Very good location. Hairdryer, coffeemaker, fridge & microwave in room was convenient! We spent very little time at the hotel since this was a family vacation. It was great for the affordable price. Would stay here again for the same type of trip.

The room was nice and clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a little better than I expected. The hallways were not very clean and not well-maintained. Some attention to the hallways and repair of side doors whose locking mechanisms were gone would improve the appearance and security.

If you just need to sleep and leave, it's ok.

TV didn't work very well was my biggest complaint. Good example of you get what you pay for.

front desk staff was willing to go out of their way to help me with a printing issue since this motel has a guest computer, but no printer. The room was clean. For the low price, it was definitely worth the money. We were visiting this area for business, and only needed a place to sleep.

Room was clean, but very cold when we came in. Heater worked well, but it took a bit to get warm in the room.

Dirty and messy. Don't stay here. Needs torn down. I can't believe this is a Days Inn franchisee.

Cozy room, small sink and bathroom but wasn't looking for 5 star stay. Easy to get to, plenty of food and gasoline around also.

traveled with 4 children, 3 small dogs. asked for non-smoking room. arrived and was told room was on second floor and where to access the stairs to the room. opened the door to the stairwell and was hit by the extremely strong odor of cigarette smoke. room didn't reak of smoke, but the entire 2nd floor hallway did. will not stay at this hotel again. room was relatively clean, but the smell of cigarette smoke was just to strong.

We just needed a place to sleep while we were visting family so we didn't need a place to relax in. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. But the building is dumpy looking.

Reserved a non-smoking room and got a room that had a no smoking sign but was smokey, smelled of smoke and had ash trays provided. Sat our 10 month old on the floor to play and he pulled trash out from under the bed. At least it was only a soda bottle but still... Wireless internet is password protected so you have to go to the front desk to get the password before using. Then it didn't work well anyways. Bathtub was gross. It was clean but permanently stained brown. This hotel room was okay because it was the only thing we could find and we had to stay somewhere in that area due to the death of a relative. I would never recommend it for leisure though!

friendly staff, clean, but small rooms and the AC was very loud (had a rattling sound to it). for the amount of time we spent in the room, it was fine. but wouldnt have spent the money if we were staying longer or spending more time in the room.

googled hotels close to Adventureland...this was 25 miles from Adventureland! NO jacuzi. FOUR tables in area for breakfast...and there was a tour bus there!!!

Very convenient to the interstate. This is an older hotel, but well maintained. Good-sized room, nice beds and TV, quiet A/C, very small bathroom. Decent continental breakfast. Just what we needed for an overnight stay.

The room was half empty. There was no table and there was no chair of any type. Half the room was just empty space. Whenever I went to the front desk, it was not manned. There were no towels in the room when we checked in and it took a half an hour to get them. The room was clean.

I searched on-line for about two months and settled on a few. I used every possible newspaper, web pages, articles in finding a valuable room. Some really had some very strong issues. I am not saying this was the least of "evils" at all. I have stayed at other Days Inns and the competition as well. It seemed the over all friendliness, cleanliness, and quietness were the leading compulsion to choose Days Inn. It was close for my ventures into Des Moines, IA. and Ankeny. Very nice town to see and visit. The local stores were warm & friendly and Yanni's was great along with Daylight Doughnuts. I enjoyed The Family Christian Bookstore very much as well as the Marble Slab Creamery ice cream shop next door. Yum! I would stay here again when I come to the area.

The people were very nice! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. We were only in town for one night to go to Adventureland and it was close enough to go back and forth.

Room was clean & comfortable. Hallways smelled a little musty (like old smoke). Could use a little maintenance. Room was everything I expected. Well worth the money.

I needed a place for one night and this was a nice and easy place. Quick, quite and pretty clean. If you're looking for a place to sleep overnight and a low price, Days Inn was a nice spot.

My stay at this motel was not a pleasant one. When I entered my room, it felt like a refrigerator as there was no heat on and it was below zero outside. I turned the heat on high and had to leave my coat and gloves on for about an hour until the room was warm enough for me to take them off. The handle on the bathroom faucet came off in my hand when it tried to turn it on. There were multiple cigarette burn stains on the bathtub even though I had a non-smoking room. The hallway outside my room also had an unpleasant odor. There was free wireless access but it repeatedly lost the connection while I was trying to work on my computer. I will not be staying there again.

The hotel was right next door to a fantastic Mexican resturaunt l loved both.

the room was pretty much what i had expected it to be, nothing fancy. the only thing that bothered me was that the walls were a bit thin, i could hear the people in the other room. and i could also hear people walking and talking outside my door.

This is the second time we have stayed at this Days Inn. On our first stay we had a noisy air conditioner but this stay was great. The room is clean and people are friendly. It is a great price and a great place to stay.

Even though we requested the smoking room the room was so gross that my clothes stilled smelled of stale smoke days later. The cleanliness is greatly lacking, and it seems that they haven't kept up with the hotel through regular maintenance and replacing overused equipment.

The hotel was ok for the price. The air conditioner in our room was very loud and never shut off. Bathroom was very small but was clean. For the price, it was ok. Will probably pay a little more and go somewhere else next tim.

Had a good breakfast. Staff helped me find different locations I wanted to visit.
