City Suites Hotel - שיקגו

Room was clean, but very small. Close to the Belmont CTA stop, so could hear the train announcements. TV only got 8 of the 30+ stations. When I reported that to the front desk, they didn't seem to care. It's only selling point to me is that it is close to where my son lives.

Excellent overall...the room was a bit small but the location more then made up for that

My bf and I came to early for check in! But tht didn't matter they were more than willing to give us parking and take our bags in advance and have them ready in our rooms. The rooms were so clean and organized slept like a baby! I cute diner across the street for quick meals and breakfast in the morning at the hotel! It's hidden in a building so you feel safe. Only 10 mins to the bean and mid Chicago! I loved this hotel and the service.

Very impressed with this hotel. Had just spent a few days at the Marriott in Detroit Renaissance and have to say the City Suites was MUCH better. They are right next to the Belmont station on the L and 1/2 a mile from Wrigley. The hotel had a nice historic feel and the neighborhood it's in was very pleasant. Nice walk to Wrigley through the old Chicago neighborhood. Very nice staff too. Had a great stay. Highly recommend.

Building old but pretty clean. Bed a little on the soft side. El (subway) stop about 100 feet from front door, and Wrigley Field just a few blocks away. Interesting, diversified neighborhood, but felt safe. Hotel breakfast not much. Hotel parking in a garage around the corner and on the expensive side ($22/day). Room was surprisingly quiet.

Room was small but very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet at night even though next door to train tracks. Front desk clerk was not friendly and appeared to be bothered by any questions asked. Housekeeping was professional and helpful. Great location. We will stay here again.

We recently stayed at City Suites for a long weekend and I would definitely stay there again. The building is older but it is maintained nicely and was very clean. The rooms were pretty small but very clean and extremely comfortable. If your room faces the train there is a lot of noise but once the window AC unit is turned on it drowns out all of the noise. The location was perfect for us right in the heart of Boys Town conveniently located to lots of restaurants and all of the bars that we were interested in going too and right next to the train which was wonderful. The breakfast was pretty basic but perfect for something quick if you are in a hurry.

This hotel was a great surprise! It's about 30 feet from the subway and within walking distance to wrigleyville and Lincoln Park. The rooms were huge and the included breakfast was great. The staff was highly accommodating and nice. It's not a "grand" hotel by any means but it is nice, great location and highly recommended!!

Overall very nice the train next door an lack of view! Both clerks were very nice an curtious. It was a very cozy experiance! THANK YOU!!

Tip: park in the garage at Belmont & Sheffield; it's very close-by, and cheaper than the hotel parking. The hotel service once we got inside was great, and our room was really cute and clean. I like that you can open the glass blinds in the bathroom window and get some fresh air. It was styled more like a tiny apartment than a hotel room, and felt cozy and comfortable. The bed was awesome...my boyfriend and I both slept like the dead. There are dispensers by the sink and in the shower with very decent soap, lotion, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. And this place couldn't be in a more convenient location. Lake View is a a great neighborhood, with tons of shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Plus it's like 20 feet from the train! I would definitely stay here again, no question :)

The hotel was within walking distance to the venue, restaurant and parking. It was comfortable and clean. The desk clerk on our arrival got argumentive with me about parking. I had prepaid parking not associated with the hotel and he did have abit of trouble grasping that fact. Other than that we had an outstanding time.

1. Great location, few steps away from train station, so we can visit downtown very conveniently. It is a main line train station, so you can get anywhere you like. 2. no noise. Even next to train station, we heard nothing.3. Super friendly staffs!! the first night we felt cold so we asked some blankets, next day our room was very very warm. They were very kind to help us find our destinations, offered cookies even in the midnight. 4. comfortable room. Our room was big and clean. Sofa was another bed. Also, breakfast was really good, just like home. Free coffee, milk and hot chocolate 24 hours. We certainly will choose this hotel next time. It's perfect!

This was my second stay at the City Suites Hotel. My second because the first stay was so enjoyable. The location was fantastic -- the Belmont Avenue cta train stop is just feet away, as is a bus stop, restaurants are everywhere, and it is north of the more expensive midtown hotels. I look forward to my next trip to Chicago so that I can experience again the hospitality and comfort of this very nice place.

I was there for 2 nights. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and parking was available close by.

We were staying downtown to see a concert, location of the hotel was great, RIGHT off the red line, very convenient. Considering how close to the train tracks, noise was not even a concern. Mini bar prices were SO cheap, that was awesome. Definitely an old hotel and very small rooms, TV channels didn't all come through very well, but I would definitely stay here again for an event in the area. Also, the staff were VERY friendly and helpful. Brian at the front desk was very charming as well as the guy setting out breakfast the next day. The continental breakfast was pretty good as well. Overall great hotel!

It was really the location that sold it, the staff wasn't overly friendly but all in all it was a good time. The parking garage they use is abut a 3 block walk away from the hotel. That would have been helpful to know prior to getting there (lack of research on my part). As other reviewers have noted the train station is right there and it runs through the night, though I personally didn't find it distracting. Rooms were super small and the floor creaked above us from the occupant walking around. But it was clean, comfortable and the right price.

Great location, right by the red line going to downtown Chicago and the 22 bus line which heads to Wrigley and Andersonville. Ben and Brian were great, and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. Light sleepers may have trouble with the noise from the train, but overall a great experience!

Staff very friendly & accommodating. Extended checkout & parking graciously. Nice room, very well-located. Be prepared for street & L noise.

I took a short wknd stay to go out with friends and stayed at City Suites, the staff was great, location was amazing, gorgeous fireplace/social area downstairs. I will for sure be staying here everytime I visit Chicago now!

Room was comfortable could be cleaner. Expect a little noise from the hotel and the surrounding city. Good location I would stay here again only if it was cheap/.

Enjoyed our stay. Did use earplugs since it's right next to the L. Best mini bar rates ever. Can of soda for $1.00

Horrible neighborhood . At night you will get robbed as we did . Overall just a run down hotel . For the price stay at the wyndham...

It was a great place to stay, especially if you are using public transportation, as it is so close to a major station. It felt like we had door to door service to all the sights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, too.

Incredibly convenient location Just off the "L" line. A good place to stay if you are visiting DePaul University. Clean room. Helpful staff. Safe walkable neighborhood. Will come back and stay.

Not a bad place to stay for the night. Parking kind of sucks, costs extra if you use their garage option. Room was WAY SMALL. Hardly any room to move around but it was clean. Train noise wasn't too bad at night. Good place to stay if you're in town to catch a Cubs game, its walking distance.

We stayed here the night before a Cubs game. The hotel is close enough to walk to the stadium and the el train stops just outside the entrance to the hotel. Perfect location and a pleasant atmosphere

Hotel is located in a great location. My wife and I stayed a night for my first game at wrigley field. If you are looking for a room where the city life is going on I would suggest City Suites. The room was big enough for the 2 of us and the bathrooms are nice and spacious. I would diffenetly stay and if your looking to bar hop this area is one of the best in Chicago.

Great hotel, wonderful staff, clean room, free breakfast. Hotel is right next to Belmont Station for the L train so very convenient for getting around town. I stayed here in order to be able to walk to Springsteen concert at Wrigley Field. Very vibrant neighborhood, lots of people out at all hours. No parking at hotel, have to park a couple blocks away and walk back but that was no big deal.

The City Suites was very clean and the hotel staff was quite helpful. Location is near Wrigley and across the street from the L which is very easy to navigate to other locations throughout Chicago. The rooms are very small, but quite clean and safe. I would stay here again with no hesitation. I highly recommend.

Close to Wrigley and tons of nice restaurants. The staff was great!

Loved it. The staff was friendly and the hotel itself had a great feel to it. Very nice updates.

Quite convenient for Cubs ballgames. Several restaurants nearby. Walking distance to Wrigley Field. Parking is extra, but that's expected in Chicago. Able to leave car in parking garage for next day's game, no extra charge. VERY courteous and accommodating staff!!!!

We were very satisfied overall with our room. The beds were immaculate and very comfortable, and the room had everything we required. Our only complaint was hearing noise (loud voices) from guests in other rooms on the Saturday and Sunday nights, after midnight. We found the hotel staff people to be very friendly and attentive to our every wish, more so than I have ever experienced in any other hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Friendly, and very helpful staff. Breakfast was very good and a wonderful way to start the day. The location next to the train station made travel to and from downtown Chicago easy and accessible.

Only a short walk from Wrigley. Stayed there and caught a cubs game. Hotel was clean, rooms where quaint, staff was friendly. Parking was about 2 blocks away but very safe and secure.

Pleasantly surprized at how nice this hotel was. Some rooms can be noisy from trains, but I was lucky to get a quiet room. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast good. I would definitely stay there again.

My daughters, 10 and 12, and I recently stayed at City Suites for Spring Break. We arrived on St. Pat's via the "L" and although we were over an hour early, we were able to check into our room right away. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space for the three of us. My girls loved the bath products. Breakfast each morning was nice with an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, cereal, bagels and pastries and coffee and juice. The location was great because we were right next to the "L" so it was very convenient to get everywhere we wanted to go. There is also a Trader Joe's in the neighborhood which was great. We used the in room fridge for goodies we picked up for lunches. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. The room was clean and although we were on the side with the "L" it was still quiet. The neighborhood is great with lots of restaurants and shops. The cinnamon rolls at Ann Sather's cannot be beat. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Chicago.

This hotel was advertised as a boutique hotel. It was run down, tired, in need of an update and in desperate need of a major cleaning. The L runs alongside the building, making any sleep between 6 AM and midnight near impossible and I’m a city girl. The toilet was running, I found black mold in the tank when I lifted it to jiggle the lever. RUN RUN RUN. I prepaid and was in no mood for a fight for a refund or I wouldve left.
