I arrived at night. Only one attendant was available for ALL services the hotel offers then was completely overwhelmed. To make the registration I spend over 20 minutes waiting for the attendant time. She assign me a room which locking system has a malfunction so I spend over 40 minutes trying to get in to the room.Finally the attendant assign me another room. She mention many times she didn't want to call her boss to solve the problem, I'm not sure why. I'm pretty sure they don't know the Customer Service concept and it seems they don't care. Good location, poor service.

really enjoyed my stay but was a little dissappointed for getting charged for parking like really i'm staying at the hotel and i still have to pay for parking makes no sense

Everything was fine, especially only 2 blocks from River Center..

They can charge the price for where it's at, any place else it would be worth a quarter of the price and to add injury to insult they charge to park outside your room!

The room is nice and clean, the hotel is close to the center of the city. The only thing is it gets loud at night when someone is talking outside of your room, the insulation is not good

The rooms are noisy, the carpets filthy, and if the floors had not been so dirty, it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor. The so called breakfast was pathetic. Days old mini muffins and stale mini bagels. Yuck. I have stayed at other Days Inn locations several times, but this was the worst hotel I have e er stayed in. NEVER AGAIN. The location was great, but the beds were so bad, my husband and I barely slept.

Our mattresses were stained terribly, and the floors didn't look vacuumed when we arrived. While they did get us fresh towels each day, overall we weren't too impressed for the price we paid.

The hotels is near the alamo and the riverwalk, it takes a few minutes walk to reach them. The room was clean. The breakfast room is just in front of the reception desk in a too small room for the hotel. The breakfast is absolutely poor, there were just doughnuts and corn flakes to eat and coffee, tea and juice (they were off of orange juice for 2 days during my stay!!) to drink.

This is the 4th time staying in this hotel, and quite frankly, it was the worst. Had an issue with the night attendant being rude and disrespectful, only to have manager fail to record the incident and take any action accordingly. I will not be staying here again due to lack of proper room service and disregard to customer service.

The mattresses were stained, who knows whether it was blood or what. Only one lamp in the room was in working condition. Carpet was also having multiple spots. Also, please keep in mind that it's very close to freeway. So be ready to hear a lot of traffic noise, even at night. I will never come back to this hotel.

I reserved a king bed and they would not honor that even though I had it in print. Also, the shower head did not work well.

It was a very bad experience. I got there around 11p and the door was locked. The staff member did not want to open the door because he said they were full even though I kept telling him i already had reservations. When he finally let me me in, he was very rude and was slamming everything he would touch.

Dirty

The service was excellent. The carpet in the room seemed quite dirty, the inroom coffee was not replentished, the tissue box was almost empty, the toilet paper roll was almost empty when I first unsed the room, and all of the wash clothes were not replentished the second day. I would stay there again but would hope the room could have been better taken care of.

First, I should say that the receptionists were very friendly. The one who checked me in changed the first room because of the smell, and she came back to see if everything was OK. The main problem is that all the rooms smell like mold and smoke. I also saw a cockroach in the room. I like the price and location, but I will stay in a different hotel next time.

The room we stayed in was clean and in pretty good condition. For staying for one night, it was a perfect place for a great price! They did try to charge us $10 for parking but I told and showed the receptionist Hotels.com said it was free parking and we did not have to pay the fee. The breakfast was very limited but was enough for a small meal. It is only two blocks from the Alamo and very close to the Riverwalk! We felt safe in the room and walking downtown but I would be aware of your surroundings -- the area on the other side of the interstate seemed a bit sketchy.

First, you're not booking for the nightly rate Hotels is displaying because unlike the other sites they don't include taxes and fees. Secondly, Days Inn charges you parking??? Seriously, $10 to park there. Days Inn looks like it's being run in the 1970s based on its decor and furnishings. It has no modern ammenities. It's next to an abandoned warehouse. I'm assuming that's where the bum stayed that approached us as soon as we got out of our vehicle. The hotel staff is rude, lazy, apathetic and generally less than intelligent. I wouldn't book this hotel for half of what I was forced to pay. The water didnt work, they moved us to a room that was not the same as what I had booked even though they admitted they've had water problems and the parking lot was only half full. All this, including being badgered by the housekeeping before check out time and with "do not disturb" on the door. After me sharing all my frustrations they offered to 'comp' me the parking. I stayed at a bed and breakfast in Arenal, Costa Rica 6 months ago that was more accomodating and a better value. I will NEVER stay at a Days Inn again, or use this site for that matter.

Hotel was conveniently located to Riverwalk. Overpriced for the limited amenities offered and condition of room. Guy at the front desk tried to charge me twice for parking (at check in and at check out), even though it was included in my reservation. I had to show him twice (same guy) that it was included in the price I had already paid.

This hotel was absolutely horrible! The staff was horrible! The room was spacious but that where it ends. The bathroom was tight and you had little to no room to put anything. The tub was disgusting and filled with mold and mildew. When I took a shower the water was extremely cold... It wasn't until the 3rd person in our group that finally got hot water. The carpet wasn't even vacuumed, looked like someone got a bunch of new clothes and left the tags all over the place, and our sheets weren't even changed! There was not garbage bags in the trash cans and when I went downstairs to the office they gave me ice bucket bags, really? Oh, I was also appalled that there was a $10 parking charge! Avoid this hotel at all cost!

The hotel it self was not that bad. The pillows were the size of a sofa cusion, and not good at all. We had to make a trip to the mall to purchase some. Front desk stated that they didnt have any extra.

It was great and the front desk clerk was very nice and friendly

Good hotel, but breakfast needed a waffle maker

Room was poorly maintained, half of the lights didn't work and there was no coffee pot for the coffee maker

My brand new truck was hit at the hotel"s parking lot. Apparently there were no cameras. The beds were small not doubles as we asked.

The room was sufficient for what I paid. There was a $10 parking fee; I assume by the day, but I only stayed one day. We were withing walking distance of the riverwalk, but be prepared to do some "city walking". The rooms havent been updated in awhile and the fridge and the blow dryer did not seem to work. They are due an update but I would stay there again because of the price and the convenience. There was no road noise or ruckus and the beds were comfortable.

Should never have to stay in a hotel with a moldy tub!!!!!

dumpy old hotel, with not so friendly staff, but very close to Alamo (real walking distance)

During other visits to San Antonio, depending on why I was there, I stayed either down by El Mercado or out by the airport. This time, I chose to stay closer to the Alamo - just a few blocks behind it. Since all I need in a hotel is a bed and a bathroom, this more than met my needs since I didn't use the pool or anything else other than raiding the soda machine outside my room once in a while. The cleaning staff kept the room clean, though the hotel should probably replace the tub and faucet. The hotel is walking distance to so much of what people go to San Antonio to see: the Alamo, Rivercenter Mall, the Riverwalk, Tower of the Americas...If you're a walker, like me, you can even walk down to El Mercado or over to King William Historic District. Just a warning, though, you might not want to start wandering more than a block or so east or north of the hotel, particularly at night.

This hotel needs updating.
