Hotel St. Marie - ניו אורלינס

This hotel was a great place to stay for the cost. One of the mattresses in our room read in pretty bad shape, but it was just my husband and I so we didn't need both beds. Valet at check out takes a while because there is only one guy working and lots of people checking out. But for the price and location of our room it didn't bother me.

The hotel was right in the middle of the French Quarter which was perfect to walk everywhere. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room small but comfortable..The court yard very quaint and quiet.We would stay there again for sure.

Like previous reviews say, the hotel was very well located a half block from Bourbon st. The room was clean, a little light on the linens though. Bathroom door was slatted and somewhat see through so not much privacy. Valet was nice but front desk staff was not rude but not really nice either. Overall the experience with the hotel was positive and we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel St. Marie. We were close to Bourbon Street and all the places where we usually go. Our first room was clean but unfortunately one of the beds fell off the frame. We were moved to another room that afternoon so all was well. We needed additional blankets and they were promptly brought to our room. We would definitely stay here again.

I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. There was also a pool!

Hotel is old and very outdated but this is common for the French quarter. Perfect location for going out on Bourbon street but far enough that you don't get all the noise in your room. Would stay again, just wish it was cleaner and updated.

This is a great hotel if you are going to Bourbon Street which is what my boyfriend and I did. We had a balcony view which was perfect. The rooms were clean and housekeeping provided extra towels for us. The dead bolt lock did not work on our door but the bottom lock worked. Other than that we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this hotel for couples wanting to party on Bourbon Street. If you have small children this would not be the hotel for you, but if your looking for a quick getaway with just you and your better half this is the place to stay. When I come back I will most definitely stay here.

My mom, aunt, and I stayed here for one night while seeing Wicked. We were in a perfect location for walking everywhere we needed to go. It was also very quiet being that it was only 1/2 a block from Bourbon. Our room was very cozy and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The lighting in the room was dark. We had mosquitos in our room. The bed could of used more pillows, and an extra blanket. The outdoor patio needed some upkeep. It looked rundown. More lights needed out there. The staff were all wonderful, and friendly. The quys that check in cars for parking were awesome. The guy that took our luggage was a super nice guy. Hope his birthday was a good one!!

The hotel is old and the rooms have no real modern upgrades but the location is unbeatable for the price.

Very close to Bourbon but far enough not to hear the noise at night. Our room was very spacious and had a balcony facing the courtyard and pool. We enjoyed our one night stay here and would come back again.

The location couldn't be better with bourbon street just one block away. The beds were very hard and outdated. Bathroom door was just a louver door that didnt even stay shut. Personal were all very nice and friendly.

Great location . Very rude and uncaring employees

The hotel needs maintenance repairs such as new wallpaper ( the old wallpaper was faded and peeling in some spots), needs chairs on the balconies and softer beds!!

We had a great time in a great city. Have stayed at this hotel more than ten times. Will stay here again. This hotel is just part of a wonderful trip.

I highly recommend! Rooms aren't huge. But they are clean and comfortable! Service was awesome and everyone accomadated anything we needed. Would come again especially because of the price! And the location is like twenty feet away from bourbon and the French quarter.

Hotel St. Marie is just a few blocks away from Bourbon Street. The staff was nice and upgraded our room so that we had an inside balcony. This was great as there was some road construction on a side street. Rooms are large, which helps when you have 3 people.

Great location. Staff exceptional from parking garage to check out.The staff make you feel right at home. Had a great room overlooking the courtyard.

I was shocked at the sight of the room when we checked in. The pictures on the website DO NOT at all reflect what the rooms look like. I paid over $300 a night and had a musty smelling room with no blanket on the bed and a small window with a torn window treatment. There was only one elevator and the stairwell was questionable to take as it was dark and grimy. The staff was helpful and courteous, for the most part....but not one person ever asked us what we thought of the place or if we were enjoying our stay. There would need to be major updates made to this place in order for me to consider this place again.

The staff at the Hotel St Marie was very helpful and friendly. The location is great - very close to all of the action in the French Quarter, but still quiet. My issues have to do with the condition of my room. The lighting was extremely dim and made it hard to read at night. Additionally, the beds were extremely old and worn - I woke up with a sore back after sleeping on semi-exposed springs due to excessive wear/use of the mattresses. That said, I the rate I paid was extremely reasonable, especially considering that my stay was between Jazz Fest weekends. I would stay again if they could ensure that I was placed in an updated room.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who want easy access to Bourbon Street & the rest of the French Quarter. The hotel is a very short walk to all the activities but far enough that you can actually get some sleep. The staff was very friendly and the valet parking is so convenient. The restaurant downstairs is superb-great staff & food. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom wasn't very private. The door didn't lock, no fan and there were open slats in the door. Kind of awkward when you're the only girl in a room full of guys:) All in all, I would stay here again,

It was ok. Extremely overpriced and front desk staff was extremely rude. Had a friend come in a day early before checking into his own room and they brought up a cot. Then when he came back before the rest of us on his way to the airport, and asked for a key, they overcharged us $200 for the room after having already paid an arm and a leg. A shouting match ensued and I will never stay there again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there incredibly reasonable rates, very clean, excellent services the valet and concierge were impeccable.

good, need to put chairs on balcony.

We were locked out of our room for almost 24 hours. The electronic key system failed (on our door) and instead of spending the evening enjoying Bourbon Street, we spent the night trying to get our door unlocked with the maintenance man. The rooms were dirty, it looked like someone had puked on our bathroom door and was left to disintegrate on its own. My white socks turned black in just one night of walking on the carpet. This is the first and last time I will ever stay at Hotel St. Marie.

1 minute walk to Bourbon Street---on-site parking ($32.00 a day)---but safe enclosed parking with in and out anytime 24-7

The room was clean and comfortable. I had never been to the French Quarter before so was shocked to see the condition of the quarter. Very dirty and kind of scaring. My bad for not doing my home work. The Motel inself was pleasant with good dining options and excellent valet and baggage personal. My sister did fall in shower brecking 3 ribs. I reported it and felt that a report or something would be taken. They did offer to call an ambulance but nothing more. The motel was nice for being in the Quarter, but will stay outside of it the next visit.

Only a block or so from Bourbon street but we did not encounter additional noise and the closeness to Jackson Square and the entire French Quarter can't be beat! Carl at the front desk is an excellent concierge with great knowledge of the French Quarter! Calm mannerism and helpful! Just need refrigerators in room! We requested rooms with new beds and they are super comfy! Love the Vacherie cafe and bar! Good drink specials!

The hotel location was excellent. However, this was the first hotel I've ever been to with no comforter or blanket (only sheets)! We were freezing and called to have blankets brought up and after 45 min we called again and the lady said "sorry, I forgot." We still had a great time and I would go back there. The coffee shop/bar area in the hotel are great.

We enjoyed our stay very much. This hotel is right in the heart of the French Quarter and it is a perfect example of the style. A beautiful place with great service. The only complaint is that the beds were uncomfortable.

We had no previous experience with this hotel, but many others were booked when we were in New Orleans. We were pleasantly surprised -- our room was nice, with a balcony, and the staff was efficient and pleasant. Valet service was prompt, and the restaurant breakfast was lovely and not ridiculously expensive as in some larger hotels in the quarter. We would definitely stay here again.

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel St. Marie for 4 days over this past weekend, and couldn't praise this hotel higher. The rooms are large and VERY comfortable. The desk/reservation clerks couldn't be nicer. Soundproofing is excellent. Great TV and other amenities. If you want to have a pleasant, and fun time, this should be your hotel choice. Great job,Hotel St. Marie!

The hotel was OK. Good location, friendly staff, basic room, very basic TV, VERY small window. As I was early for check-in they said that they would call me when my room was ready, they never did. The bellman was probably the best of the bunch, very helpful and friendly. If you need a taxi, it is best to either flag one down yourself or let the bellman flag one down for you, when the desk calls for one, they take a long time to come and the cabs were older and in poor condition. I ate breakfast one day at the restaurant and it was terrible. Long wait, cold food, waitresses who do not refill your coffee and do not bring items that you ask for. The thing that stood out the most for me though was the fact that when I checked in, the city was having a water problem. The hotel staff DID NOT tell me that i could not drink the water, nor did they supply us with water. As there are a lot of hotels in the area, I would look elsewhere on my next trip.

The location was great, service was good, staff was friendly and helpful, but the room was in need of a little up-dating.

We were expecting something nicer. Old hotels are nice but they are usually clean. Probably would not stay there ever again.

Very cute, small, clean hotel.

The only things this place has going for it is a great location and an excellent bar and bellhop staff. The rest of the staff seemed disinterested or somewhat hostile to us. I realize we were there shortly after Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl but the desk staff was not very engaged or caring. The location was great, near everything we wanted to see in the Quarter and it was quite enough to rest. The bartenders in the lobby bar were very friendly and helpful, far more than the rest of the staff. Next time I'll stay somewhere else.

We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. Mostly friendly staff, well appointed, clean rooms (need a bit of minor maintenance). The adjacent restaurant can't be beat for breakfast and the fact that you're half a block off Bourbon St and the rooms are super quiet (we had courtyard room) makes this boutique hotel a winner. We'd stay again without hesitation.
