Shilo Inn Hotel - Casper - אוונסוויל

There on business and it was a nice hotel to crash for the night, room had a fridge, microwave, and seemed clean but the smell of cleaner and air freshener was over powering when we first got there. The bad: TV was from the 80's, the carpets are in need of major replacement throughout and their continental breakfast is a joke which was in the lobby. Walking distance to a pretty cool bar is the only reason I would stay there again.

This hotel was nothing special but a fine place to stay for a night given the price. We were disappointed to find that the hot tub was not working, seemingly permenantly. We did use the steam room and sauna, defiantly not expected in this type of hotel. We had issues taking showers due to changing water temperature.

Hotel nice-employees very rude. Check in time is A JOKE. Got there at one thirty was told by rude employee that I could not be checked in until three. If I had not paid for the room on my credit card and it was well passed time to cancel I would have chosen another hotel

I made reservations with hotels. com, but hotel was unaware that I had paid with hotels.com and they tried to charge me again, but they fixed it, I Hope.

it was ok it was beater then last time

The only issue we had was the water was not very hot at all!! Other than that, great place for a budget.

Convenient to Interstate and the rooms were serviceable. Although better than sleeping in the car; this hotel has seen better days and is the perfect example of 'getting what you pay for'. The front desk staff though were helpful, even with the late check in.

Hot tub was out of order and had been for some time.

the tv and internet worked great, the pool was small but nice, the room was visibly clean and comfortable except that it smelled like smoke when you walked in. We didn't complain or switch rooms, but should have, when we got home, all our clothes smelled like smoke and I had to do several loads of wash just to get them all clean. They needed to disinfect the room better to get the smell out, and make sure no one smokes in their rooms or charge an extra large fee to people that do. It was a nasty smell, the beds, sheets, and pillows smelled too.

We've stayed at a couple of Shilo Inns, and this one was about the same quality and condition. Good for the least expensive sleeping accommodations when you're not spending a lot of time around the hotel, but certainly not a destination for relaxing at. The location was convenient off the Interstate, and there are several nearby restaurants. The facilities feel older and dreary, and the carpet and comforter didn't seem like the cleanest. But, no bed bugs and adequate for our purpose. Plus it was the cheapest available by far. The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. I would stay here again as a road trip stopover.

You get what you pay for I guess. Room was small and felt cramped. Maid service was lacking. Hotel description is misleading most of the amenities it said it had were not there or broken. Several of the empty rooms had the alarm clocks going off at 5 in the morning and some not shut off all day. One and possibly only positive was the restaurant was very good. Will not stay here agian unless some changes are made.

Slept on first floor, heard people running down the halls from upstairs, Someone playing music all night

Wow we're do I start . One the smell in the room . Two walked down to the pool area smell of urine in hallway get to pool and it looks like a crime scene. Three got back to room my wife's eyes were so red and swollen from something in the room. Four went to get her a tissue and there was a used one in the box. Five went down to talk to the front desk and all you could smell in the hall way was pot smoke. My whole 15 min stay was bad!

Hotel is in great need of being remodeled.

The hotel is showing its age. I remember when it was opened and it was the place place to go for breakfast in town. Unfortunately everything ages. The service a the front desk was very helpful and kind. I have stayed in worse hotels in better locations for more money, so for what it is, it suits the purpose. It was clean with no signs of critters of any sort. I have been in high end hotels that I couldn't say that about.

room was dirty - we had to have housekeeping change a dirty blanket and pick up trash on floorhot tub was broken down and not working - this was one major reaosn we stayed at this hotel

The hotel needed some updating and the carpets looked like they needed to really be cleaned or replaced. The staff was very nice and it was nice to have a restaurant attached. I appreciate that they had a room because it was literally the last room in Casper

You could hear everything in the hall which sucked. Other then that it was ok.

It was a nice stay. If you are looking for an overnight get some rest. This is the place for you. Old building, old rooms old linen. But good for an evening!

The hotel is nice. The room was clean. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear people in the hall talking. But that could just be indicative of the rudeness of certain guest. People seem to forget that their voices carry

If all you want is a bargain hotel and don't care at all about your room, your bed or your breakfast...I'd still suggest you look for something else. This was probably the third worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at plenty. Uncomfortable bed, horrible "breakfast", marginal service, old, dreary, full of lots of people drinking and making noise. on top of all the highway noise. Tiny, old-style TVs. To be brutally honest, I questioned my safety and security. Really, I can't think of anything positive to say.

Served the purpose we needed. Needs to be updated a bit

When my son and I opened the door to our room, we noticed a foul BO odor, an unmade bed, flip flops on the floor and a suitcase. Obviously this room was occupied. We went back to the front desk. Okay this can happen - no big deal. After a very long wait, we finally got the keys to a different room; however, the new room was no better. It too had someone else's items in it.  We went back again to the front desk.  My son and I decided to go to dinner while the clerk figured out what room would be ours.  When we got back, the front clerk and were both there. The manager said they had no idea what was going on with the rooms. They didn't have a record of anyone staying in either room. The keys for both rooms were there and in fact they had trouble getting to one of the rooms.  They told us that we had the choice to stay in one of the previous rooms or in a room with a single bed and they'd bring in a rollaway bed. I chose the single bed room because I was afraid the owner of the things would come back in the middle of the night.  This room was not even close to the quality listed in the hotels.com picture and had a really bad odor. I was tired of the hassle and decided not to complain again. After all of the headache and ending up staying in a smaller, the manager didn't take anything off the cost of the room.  It was a pretty substandard experience. 

The room had a musty odor and reeked. It smelled of old smoke (maybe a smoking room in it's past life)? I could hear dripping in the wall somewhere when upstairs shower was running so maybe part of the smell is mold? A bit outdated, but physically looked clean. The hot tub was not working and the pool's floor was very slippery! The continental breakfast was a plus.This place needs some serious maintenance!

Suitable place to just sleep.... Nothing special, location good

Might as well have slept on the train tracks that kept us up all night. Needs updated badly , old beds , bathroom water squeeky and knobs were opposite temps.

Skip this hotel. Full of trailer trash and Hells Angels Cafifornia. Dirty Noisy and most of the fixtures were in bad shape. Dirty.

It was easy to find. We enjoyed the restaurant. The pool was very nice (not cold). The only thing we didn't like was no elevator and we couldn't use wheels on stairs. Breakfast was also nice but someone used rest of milk in carton and drank right out of carton to finish. Small cartons were then brought in, so we thought it should be monitored .

Not much was positive. This was a business trip with three of my colleagues. First thing we all noticed were the dirty stair and hallway carpets; they were not vacuumed for three days. I personally saw a maintenance man pick debris off the foyer floor, then change the paper coffee flter without washing his hands. Food debris from breakfast was constantly in the foyer area, even in the evening. The foyer furniture felt dirty and greasy. Room cleaning was weird; I hung my towels up to re-use them, yet the hand-sink towels were removed anyway, and not replaced! Odd. Internet access was available, but inconsistent. We use a VPN to access our company's Intranet, but only two of us could get the VPN to work in our rooms. Eventually, I had to go buy access to the Internet through the Flying J stop near the hotel. Personnel were almost all very pleasant and helpful -- except the "Night Auditor" on my last morning (Friday), who was slovenly in his dress and sullen. Final analysis: no, none of us will stay here again. I think this is the first time I have stayed at a Shilo Inn, and am now negatively biased against any Shilo Inn hotel. For business reasons, none in my company will be able to stay here because of the Internet issues.

needs work done to up gade it it old and getting RUN DOWN

I stayed on 2 Saturday's back to back and there were the same interesting people that appear to live there. I am certain that they do drugs out of that room. They were pretty sketchy. It was the week of the Olympics and the cable cord was torn from the wall so I couldn't watch the tv, that was annoying. The bed was not the greatest and the pillows are kind of small. Also the air conditioner is interesting. I guess I got what I paid for.

It had all we needed, a hot shower and a comfortable bed. We were quite happy with it.

the breakfast wasn't much and not much for dinning area

Hall ways are dark. Needs major updating. No chain lock on doors. But clean room, good breakfast.

Room itself was clean, but pool area was disgusting. There wasa clump of hair on the floor for the two days that I stayed there. There were never any clean towels in the pool area. Also, the pool floor was very slick.

This hotel still uses actual keys and a lot of the doors were handleless and the hotel was in dire need of repair. Room was okay and service was so-so. Breakfast was not much more than pastries and cold cereal. Kind of disappointed since we have stayed at Shiloh Inns before and have been very pleased. This one does not live up to the standard we have come to expect from Shiloh Inns.
