We just took a quick getaway and booked through Hotels.com. I read the reviews over and over again. Needless to say, we will not be back. They apparently take animals. I doss not see that when I read the reviews, I don't remember seeing that. Our room smelled like puppy. At first we could not figure out the odor, then it dawned on us as the night went on, and my sweetheart heard a barking dog throughout the night. Yuk! Also, the water faucet handle fell off as I was brushing my teeth for the morning. Either the carpet needed cleaning or replacing. It was spotty. Not as clean as it looks online.

This hotel is located around several of your good places to eat. it is a somewhat unknown name yet this hotel is better than most we frequent. Don't be afraid to try it, you wont be sorry. Very Nice! The breakfast was great too.

Good place, we had to stay here, as hotels were full in Charleston, where we wanted to be for a graduation. Still very good place, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Internet was flaky in our room, only problem.

One of the best nights sleep I have ever had. The room was exceptionally clean. The beds, and pillows, were like sleeping on clouds. I was very impressed with their breakfast, everything from fresh fruit to biscuits and gravy with bacon, or waffels if you preferred. Surrounding hotels were not offering no where near (if any) Lexington's breakfast. I highly recommend staying at the Lexington Inn & Suites.

Eees Nice. Very Nice. We like hotel very much. Would make hotel stay again. NICE POOL!!

Comfortable place to spend the night. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was plentyful. However, the spaces behind the furniture had not been cleaned in a while...I would not have noticed by my almost two year old son found lots of crumbs to play with.

Though it appears that the hotel was recently updated, the amenities of the hotel itself has not. What I got from this hotel was a poor mans Holiday Inn express. The Pillows, Shower Head, even the heating units for the breakfast were the same as a Holiday Inn, but the old tube television, the loud heating unit and the carpet indicate that this is no where close to a Holiday in Express. Second, the night that I stayed there were a total of 9 rooms booked for the night. Yet, when I was given my room I was put on the 4th Floor all the way at one end rather than somewhere closer to the elevator let alone the 1st Floor. When I questioned this is the morning at Check out, I was told because the 1st and 2nd floor were being remodeled. I looked in the window of a unit on the 1st floor and it was IDENTICAL to the room that I had just stayed in. So, NO, I will not be staying there again!

The room was comfortable but small. Was hoping for a microwave or small fridge but room had neither. It was sufficient for a night's stay though. Room was clean and staff were very friendly. Hotel was very close to WalMart and multiple restaurants, which was convenient for me.

Very nice! The desk clerk was so helpful. She even took the time to find us a nearby church to attend on Christmas Eve.

When we made the reservations we were nervous about the low rate and what we would find. The hotel is wonderful. The breakfast was a full breakfast. The staff were nice and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was better than expected. Staff was very helpful, courteous and informative. Passing through Effingham and need a place to stay...this works perfect.

It was wonderful! It was one of the recently remodeled rooms. Great mattresses and pillows and pretty sink & bathroom area! Also, great proximity to the highway and near lots of retail. Although, I arrived very late, about 11:15pm and the phone didn't work. I called the front desk just before falling asleep to ask if there was anything they could do from the front desk, and the clerk said she could contact the maintenance man and try to get him to the room to work on it. I was too tired for that, so I had to use the cell phone until I checked out. I was without a phone charger, so it made the entire rest of my trip difficult. Upon check out, I mentioned that to the daytime clerk, and she said that I would have to take that up with hotels.com directly.

The coffee was awful...very weak.

Hotel was clean and safe. Rooms comfortable and wall unit worked. Room was quiet as no outside hall noise entered the room. The hall however appeared to be going through a renovation and the walls looked as if the wall paper was recently removed. A sign should have been placed informing guests or the hall remodel. If not remodel, then the halls were ugly. The front desk was courteous and responded to our needs. This hotel is used by a lot of tour bus for the older generation, so it is a good value for the money. The breakfast was a hot breakfast, including making your own waffles, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, fruit, etc. Fresh scramble eggs were also available so the value of the breakfast with beverage would be at $10 at a Bob Evans. I would stay again my next time through. It is also close to Wal Mart so if you need a place to grab a few things it is within 2 blocks, and this is a new Wal Mart and the hotel is in a nice, clean , safe area, right off the interstate.

I was not happy with the service. My first room, the door would not lock, so they moved me. The new room was on the first floor so there was a lot of traffic noise and the shower water pressure was very weak.

Staff very helpful. Comfortable bed, but bright lights from neighboring retail and thin drapes were a poor combination.

The room was more than we expected. A very pleasant experience.

Will be nice when finished but was no warning of continued renovations. I was placed on third floor where wallpaper half torn off walls, room smelled of mildew and just appeared dirty. Lobby looks great and hotel has potential once complete but I feel they could have accommodated in renovated room since hotel was not full nor did they share of the renovations

I was surprised at how nice it was! We will definitely be staying there again next year when we travel through that location! Continental breakfast was fantastic!!

I couldn't recommend this hotel more. It was clean, the rooms were spacious, the staff was friendly the breakfast was appealling and the fact that it was pet friendly just was icing on the cake.

When booking this hotel, the price was great!! That got me worried about cleanliness if the hotel. I was worried for nothing. Clean hotel, clean rooms, & great price. What more could u ask for?

The hotel was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. I felt very safe as a single person traveling alone. The carpet was quite stained, but other than that everything was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a prime location of shops and restaurants just out the front door, so it was a very convenient location, and a quiet location. The price was definitely affordable as well. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to other travelers.

We were traveling wih two small kids for thanksgiving, drove from 1200 miles away. We booked one night here for our first night while visiting family. Our entire family fell into bed and had our first wonderful night sleep of the trip. The next morning we woke to find the free breakfast was well presented, well kept and quite inviting for us all (children and adults). We had originally booked two nights at a differen hotel forty minutes away...but quickly decided we would rather stay here for the remainder of the trip. We jumped on hotels.com and reserved the next to nights. After each day spent visiting family...we were always thrilled to return to our room. This hotel is clean, affordable, and is on par with other higher end hotel chains. We will return here from now on when coming back to visit family.

Nice place for the money. Renovations are underway and the pool is not available.

We stayed here on our way home from a 3 week vacation. The hotel staff was very friendly, our room was the very clean. The bed was comfortable. Overall we would recommend this hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay,and would recommend it to everyone.

We needed a room late at night before hitting the road again to our convention destination. This worked very well. Great price, easy to find. Only downside was the light from the parking lot that crept into the room around the window and curtains. It was never really dark.

For the most part, we had a great stay. However, the side of the bed ruffle was torn about 12 inches. I don't see how the bed could have been made without seeing the rip. I wish there had been a microwave and maybe a refrigerator in the room. The hotel did not seem like it has been kept up in the past few years, as we have stayed there at prevoius conventions.

It was great! The beds are very comfy, room is modernly decorated. It was very clean. The only thing we wished it had was a minnie fridge, but it wasnt a big deal. It was the lowest priced hotel in that little area off the highway. We had a great stay and will return next time we are out that way. You wont be dissapointed.

Hotel was great - front desk staff very friendly - would have ranked it a 5, but hot water didn't work on 4th floor so half way through shower, water turned cold. Sounds like it's been an on-going problem and they are working on it, but they shouldn't put customers there until the problem is resolved. Good breakfast.

The floor was damp in the room. The wall paper was coming off the walls. The bed linens were torn. Hotel lobby was stark and uninviting. I would not stay here again. Not worth the lower price.

Overall it was average. The room smelled a lot. It is not enough to put a "no-smoking" sign in a room to make it one. The room should be cleaned!

Close to every eatting establishment, shopping and the highway

This is my favorite place to stay in Effingham. Clean, convenient to restaurants and shopping, and a helpful staff.

Overall hosts who check us in and out were very friendly and accommodating. However, from a businessman’s perspective hotel management may be an issue. I stayed in room #311. The lights outside our room were incredibly bright and the curtain design would not begin to block out the intensity of the outside lighting. I tried throwing blankets over the rods to no avail. A good manager would have been aware of and corrected this problem long ago. The cheap old coil spring mattresses were so stiff and uncomfortable I had to get up at midnight and take a pain pill in order to sleep. Warning… I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a restful sleep!
