Shilo Inn Tigard Washington Square - טיגארד

Hotel smells of stale smoke even though it is a non-smoking facility. Bed is rock hard with virtually non-existent pillows. The entire place seems dingy and dull. Breakfast is mediocre at best.

the rooms are small. The TV was not plugged in. There is a hole in the carpet under the sink. The carpet was not vacuumed well especially around the edges. Noted many areas of the hotel that need repair and upkeep.

Rates are the best. The hotel is dated (early 80's), but very clean and in a great location.

Enjoyed my stay, although beds could be not as hard.

Everything needed for a short stay.

Good. Hotel needs updating to come out of the 80's with the decor.

First impression was two people standing outside smoking like you see at a bar. Automatic front door sounded like it was going to fall off its tracks. Don't think I would stay there again.

We enjoyed everything about it.

We had stayed at this location a year ago. Very pleaant stay. The owner suggested we call the hotel directly next time we make reservations. I had decided to book through Hotels.com to eventually get a free room. I hope to attain that goal...but I'm not convinced it's a bargain!

I stayed at this hotel just 3 days prior and the room was fabulous. This stay the room was not as clean and it was very hard to sleep as the small fridge kept clicking off and on and the room this time was so tiny the fridge was right there next to me! This room was on the 3rd floor my last room was on the 2nd. Overall for price hotel is good value. But decor and cleanliness was different from one stay to the next one room to the next. Carpet edges dusty, back of TV dusty, holes in blanket, etc. Will stay again but want the first room I stayed in.

The Shilo is the located in an excellent location. It is convenient to shopping, eating, freeway, etc. The Hotel could use a little remodel, but it was clean and that is the most important.

Clean room. Friendly front desk. Easy check in and out. TV was older but worked fine. Well lit parking. Plenty of towels. Small fridge in room with coffee pot. Good value. Will stay there again.

The hotel was cheap all the way around. The price was low yes! The breakfast was so-so. The TV came in very fuzzy and was very old. I think it was on its last legs. It still had the old Nintendo 64. If you just need a cheap place to stay and you are not expecting to much this is your place to stay. This Shiloh is not up to the same standard as all the other Shiloh's that I have stayed at. I will not be staying here again.

breakfast is minimal. room is clean and comfy although it's not that big.

My soon-to-be-husband and i went to Portland to spend his birthday and for the price it wasn't too bad. Located right off the highway and easy access to the Washington Square mall. Had a great time!

Most comfortable and quiet.

Personnel were very helpful and courteous. I checked into this facility due to the extreme heat in our area and I do not have a/c at home. So this was for the comfort of myself and my old pug dog. I have no complaints.

The television in my room didn't work well. At first it wouldn't even come on and when I asked the front desk about it, all they said was to play with unplugging it. If it doesn't come back on after that then let me know. Not what I expect from a hotel with the reputation of Shilo Inns. After I finally got it on, the channels kept changing on their own.

Stayed just one night and moved to The Phoenix for the next three nights. Rate was exactly the same but the quality was incomparable! Tiny ill maintained, hot room with peeling wall paper and horrible bed vs. King bed with office/ living room area and great AC at The Phoenix. Would never go back to Shilo again.

Everything was excellent but Maintenance needs to tighten the toilet seat in room 106

The front office help needs more help. she was doing her best but the computer was messed up, the hotel overbooked and guests were getting irritated with her for things that were not her fault. The router went out while I was waiting, ice machines were broken so you could only get ice by asking her to get it out of the back. I felt really bad for her, she kept trying to get help but no one came. After we finally got checked in which took considerable time, everything was good.

The room walls are not very sound proof. (adjoining room). The so called breakfast was very substandard even for the rate. I didn't bother and went out for breakfast. The staff was cordial and helpful. Service question is too vague. The room was small, but the price was low, so per square foot, it was ok. The shower head needs attention. It is a hard stream due to the cheap head. Again, my biggest grip was the lousy so called breakfast.

There was an old fashioned bedspread that looked to be about 20 years old on the bed; bed linens did not smell fresh and the bed was so hard I did not get a good nights sleep. The desk area was small and not comfortable for laptop and paperwork. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Over all the Hotel was great but the beds are hard and the pillows were very uncomfortable... I would for sure go back again

I have stayed at a lot of Shilo inns and this one does not even come close.. The front desk clerk took more time telling me to never use this site ever again, th the whole checking inn. Ice machine didn't work and way out of our way .

When we first arrived and received our room, it has not been vacuumed and the room needed it very badly. However the second night, it was well vacuumed and cleaned. Ice machines were out, so you had to get ice from the desk, a little inconveient as the poor staff person had to help everyone checking in, getting ice, handling the phone. But we made do and the location is great.

Room was not as advertised

I will never stay at a Shilo Inn again!!! There was some drug dealings going on the East end of the motel. The customers were going to the business building next to Shilo & a man dressed up with a Tropical shirt & shorts would make the deal behind the dumpster next door to the Shilo. The dealer was staying at the Shilo. I know exactly what was going on while my wife & I were staying there & I'm not going thru that experiance again.

The room was clean but very small and had no modern appliances. Everything from the fridge to the tv was easily 20 years old. The room was so small that the fridge was placed by the bed. We ended up unplugging the thing so we wouldn't hear the compressors running all night. The ice machine and vending machine were in the hall across from our room, not in their own little atrium, so we were constantly awoken by other guests using these throughout the night. Despite having a "Do not disturb" sign on our door, housekeeping came by while we were still in bed (about 8:30 am). I would not reccommend it to others, no matter how low the price.

It was sufficient. My stay was based on a central location, and this property fit the bill. The room was adequate, but not spectacular, or even above-average. For this day & age, the TV was too old & too small. The channels available were too few. The bed was a bit stiff. The complimentary breakfast was too close to a continental breakfast, when it is advertised as other. Offering cold cereal, cold, cellophane-wrapped pastries is cheap. There were bagels, but no cream cheese. There was bread to toast, and jams, and 6-10 yogurts in a mini-fridge. Tough to call that a true breakfast.

Worst mattress ever, smelly elevator. We did ask for more pillows and they brought some up right away. Friendly staff And great location for our needs
