The Westin was great. Close to the strip and easy to walk to everything.

Love the super comfy beds, and the weird unique smell when you enter the hotel! I would definitely stay there again!

As a Starwood Member, I tend to choose these hotels by default. However, in Vegas I had never thought to stay at this hotel until I saw how reasonably priced it was for the right-off-the-strip location. It was the perfect place to stay; convenient, comfortable, affordable. The service upon check-in was impeccable, and I was even allowed to check in a couple of ours earlier than stated. I recommend and will most definitely be back!

It wasn't too bad of a room. I would stay there again just because of the price and the cleanliness, but the online description was diseaving. They said it would have a mini bar and fridge, that def wasn't true. The bathroom is pretty small but overall for the location, the price, and the cleanliness it wasn't too bad.

Only one night, but it was comfortable, quiet, convenient.

Rooms are a little tired, good location and as always heavenly beds.

Great place to stay

This was a good hotel and certainly good value for the money. Location is central to the Strip without being directly on the Strip. Rooms, fitness facility and swimming pool are all a little disappointing. The spa facilities are exceptional, but this seems to be a secret they are keeping from clients.

over all every things good the only matter is the cost: I had bookrd through hotel.com . total cost was 937 $ .. when we arrive they inform us that there is additional fees 20$ every night . !! even we dont use hotel facilities.

This hotel is great. It's located just off the strip, a short 10 minute walk (max) to the strip. Since it's not on the strip, the common areas were quite welcoming - not too crowded or loud. The surrounding neighborhood left a little to be desired. It's quite rundown and felt somewhat unsafe, though we never encountered any problems. Not somewhere I'd want to be alone after dark. The buffet breakfast was $$, but there's a 24-hour Starbucks onsite, so if you're just looking for a quick bite, there's options.

While the hotel location was off the strip I thought that the service made up for being slightly less convient. It was my daughters birthday and I told them that at the front desk when asked about our visit. A few minutes after we got to the room a birthday surprise was delivered, personalized for my daughter. Love the service.

The Westin Hotel is a great hotel for those who want to avoid the big crowds that other Las Vegas hotels have. The beds are very comfortable! Very clean hotel with complimentary Happy Hour!

I chose this hotel to make this trip feel like work, not play. It was perfect. I still played (Blackjack and Craps) but the casino is manageable, and you can quickly get to your room for some rest. I had hoped to walk to the Sands Expo from here, but I only did that once; a bit too far. Cabs were easy to catch, gaming staff was great. Perfect for a business trip.

Booked the Westin in Las Vegas based on previous experiences at other Westin properties. We wanted to be near the strip but tried to save a few dollars by not staying at one of the premier casino properties. Big mistake. Paying the extra $100 per night night would have been a better choice. The hotel staff was underwelming and unattentive. I was traveling with my family, four in total, and we received no bell service when checking in. The rooms have low ceilings and were dark and dank smelling. We were there two nights and our room was not clean or towels changed during our stay. The pool was on the second floor and relatively small. Again no service. The walk to the strip was the equivalent of four normal city blocks. We were warmly greeted on the way by the collection of homeless people that were always present on the sidewalk along Flamingo Blvd. There is a short wall that separates the street from the sidewalk that made for a nice place to for the band of homeless to sit and relieve themselves. Feces and urine littered the sidewalk. I realize this is not the resposibility of the Westin but I think it is important to know what you will be faced with if you plan to walk to and from the hotel.

I was pleased with the Westin. I have always stayed in the larger hotels on the strip. The Westin was much better, I didn't have to walk a mile to get into my hotel room. The breakfast was awesome at a reasonable price. Happy hour was good. Just need a better variety of drinks. I enjoyed the Westin & the price I paid for the weekend.

Not for family. The pool was not clean, room was not made up late afternoon. Couple of days we came back around 2:30 for afternoon nap with my son , the room still not made up. Charge resort fee 19.95 per day, was not shown when I made the reservation

good value for money

Location is great if you want to be near the strip without being saturated with it. The 2-3 block walk will take you by some panhandlers, drunks, etc. I would not feel safe walking alone at night along Flamingo ave to get to the strip. Our room showed signs of wear, needs a little facelift. We were given the "green" option which meant no room service in lieu of $5 coupon. I think the price reflects the quality and location of this hotel.

It's really close to the strip. Great if you don't want to spend $200 a night just to sleep. Room was beautiful, nice large flat screen TV. Spacious and clean bathroom, could have used more electrical outlets but that's just my opinion. Wifi is a little slow but email is just fine. Staff were friendly and courteous, pool was nice, didn't get to check out the cafe but there's a Starbucks in the lobby too. Downside is that the property next to it is currently being built and Bills Gambling Hall are under renovation, so the walk is a relatively quiet one at night and there are a handful of homeless people. There was no construction noise and our neighbors, (preferred guest floor) were quiet. Very easy to get to, would strongly recommend it.

I have stayed at several 4-star hotels on the strip including but not limited to TI, Rio, Bally's, etc. but this one was overall outstanding. Parking was extremely convenient with guest parking spaces literally 100 feet away from the main entrance/registration. It smells soo refreshing from the moment you walk into this hotel and staff is professional and courteous. Room service was excellent and the food was very delicious and not as pricey as other 4-star hotels! The toilet handle was broken when we checked in and they fixed it in a timely manner; not to mention, we checked in to our room as early as 9:00am and check-out was 1:00pm!! The only difference between TI and Westin is the location, which is not that bad because you don't have to get stuck in traffic on the strip. TI's tub was larger vs a regular bath tub at Westin. Room rates were acceptable as well.

Good hotel, should have all charges in room prices, not stealth charges which you have to pay to stay. Hotel staff very good. Facilities good. Short 5 minute walk to strip. Las Vegas authorities need to do some thing about beggars drunks (drinking in public) and people attempting to gibe you cards for prositutes every 100 yards on the strip. Hotel was fine but beggars sleeping on pavement within 100 yards of hotel.

Good hotel, 5 minute walk to the strip. Staff very good. Would stay there again. Only issue with Vages hotels is hidden charges. 22$ per day resort fee, to use pool, parking, Internet, etc which you would should have been in price. You have no choice with this charge so should be in room price. I would have been happy with it being in the room price and would stay there again, but having the stealth charge leaves a very bad taste. Staff were very good and happy hour a real positive.

Hotel was nice. Good respite from the glamour and activity on the strip. Room was clean and bedbug free, and yes, I did a thorough inspection given the late Feb experience someone posted about on tripadvisor.com. Hotel staff was very friendly, except I was disappointed when my friend needed dental floss and the front desk didn't provide any assistance. Rooms were nice, though the doors looked worn, especially at the bottom. For a Westin, I'd expect a little more in terms of feel and renovation. Late checkout was granted but only til 2pm. It was nice to have a 24 hour on site full service Starbucks on premises but the service there was very slow. The breakfast buffet was good quality, but is slightly overpriced. Overall, a decent experience, but they could do better to make this a real Westin.

I'd stay here again. When booking through a 3rd party the hotel charges you a $25/night fee called an "amenities fee". I thought it was pretty lame that no one told me until checkout. I'm a Starwood Platinum member so they took it off. Try to fight the fee if you can. :) Otherwise, it's a quick walk to the strip, the pool isn't too crowded, and it's a great place to hang out or use as a launch pad.

Perfect location just a couple of minute walk from the strip if needed. Location and quality of service were excellent.

It's a family friendly hotel. The lobby is quiet and clean, not like other hotels have strong smoke smell. It's nice for children because they have cute ducky gifts for children.

Clean rooms, great service, and a pool that is just the right size, what else could you want? I loved everything about our stay and can't wait to come back.

Didn't like the additional resort fee. Rather the hotel charge for additional amount upfront.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The cleanliness was very important since I was babysitting my 19 month old grandson while my daughter and son-in-law celebrated his 30th birthday. I dined in the hotel's restaurant on two occasions and the staff was excellent and the food was good. The only down-side to the hotel is the location. The hotel/casino directly behind the Westin is closed for remodeling and there were several homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk. It made me very uncomfortable pushing a toddler in a stroller that block between the Westin and the Strip. I would always wait and go with a group of people. Once the construction is completed, I am sure this will not be as much of a problem. But it is pretty close to Ceasar's Palace and the Venetian.

We had to leave early and could not sleep in and enjoy the rest of our stay because they were varnishing furniture on our floor and the smell was suffocating. We had to get up and leave at 7:30am. It was very inconvenient.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Westin Las Vegas. The hotel is about 1/2 mile off the strip, just behind Flamingo Hotel. The rooms are quite nice, especially when considering the price. I go to Vegas quite often, and the Westin is a nice option when the other hotels on the strip are busy and their prices soar.
