MAYFIELD INN - מייפילד

Closest hotel at the last minute for the show. No longer a Days Inn. No breakfast. Quiet area of town and rooms were quiet.

I liked having free wireless internet.

This was over Memorial week-end and the pool was not opened. Front desk staff was nice and friendly - however the room was filthy. Reservations were made 3 months in advance - so it was not a matter of a last minute only room available - type of thing. Will never stay there again.

The bathroom walls were grubby. Lights were missing bulbs or did not work. Maid did not vacuum, only made beds. Did not clean coffee pot or give us more coffee. The desk people were nice, that is the best I can say about our stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The condition of the hotel gave the impression of no maintance. Bed linens were clean but the floors were dirty. The rooms need a good old fashion cleaning and the furniture upgraded. Chair in our room was broken and vanity light burned out in my friends room.

Not the nicest but certainly not the worst we've stayed in. Closest available at the time for the quilt show in Paducah. Easy access to the main highway. Any concerns were handled quickly and professionally. If we go to the quilt show again, will try to reserve closer to Paducah.

This is an old looking building, with rooms that seem very worn. On the other hand, there are only 2 hotels in town and you don't expect much at this price. I was just there for a night and didn't spend much time in the hotel. The internet worked well and was free, which is very important to a business traveller.

The stay was very enjoyable with only one exception...They evidently had a timer on the hot water in the shower. If you didn't find that out, your shower would not have been good. You lather-up turn water off then - turn water back on to get hot water and rinse, but we traveled extensively in other countries and found the same situation. Other than that very good.

The hotel was a bit further than we wanted as our grandchildren live in Murray, but that was our fault because we waited too late to reserve & hotels in that city were full. We enjoyed our stay. We even requested & recieved special consideration. One night we requested coffee & two nights we requested milk & was satisfied.
