The room was fine and dog friendly but warm and didn't seem to have air conditioning. Staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel bar was underneath our room and when it closed the crowd woke you up for about an hour before it settled down again.

Very accomodating, clean and comfortable. A bit out of town and no sidewalks on highway mean you can't walk easily back into town - but you can walk along the disused railway into town I think - didn't try it! Great value for a good nights sleep and the addtition of waffles on the continental breakfast make this hotel such good value!

I love that Super 8 Hotel in Duncan. We had stayed there before and when I heard the Ballet was performing in Duncan I knew I would book into the Super 8 and stay the night instead of driving over the Malahat Mountain at night to return home. Not only are the rooms clean and comfy but I had the added bonus of being able to enjoy a leisurely drink in the bar of Smitty's (connected to the Hotel) before the show as a friend was driving me to the ballet. After the Ballet we returned to the pub and enjoyed the rest of the evening interacting with the locals. We were both able to enjoy a drink at that stage because I had booked us both in to stay the night even though my friend lives in Duncan. Definitely recommended for a girls night out. Thanks to the very friendly staff. I will be back.

The check in front desk attendant was friendly, but we were shocked by the 25 year old decor and what passed for a double bed room. The attendant offered us an upgrade for the next day, but did not advise the morning attendant so she wasn't sure what to do. We did get our upgrade which was a larger bed, but it was still an old room. The headboard hung on one nail on the wall and the furniture was badly scratched and old. No bad smells and the bathrooms were dated, but nicer. We will not be choosing this option again.

The breakfast was great!!

No pool as advertised. No air conditioning. Room was hot. Had what I thought looked like a bed bug in the bed. Took it to the front desk who said there was a dog in the room the night before. Breakfast was decent.

Very clean hotel, but older, service was terrific! Hotel very easy to find, close to downtown and easy access to our next destination.

Not much choice in Duncan, thats why the high charge. No elevator. No cloths closet, just hooks, no vanity counter space. Windows were dirty and did not open. Was not vacuumed under curtains (dead flies on floor) Better to stay at B&B or drive to Nanaimo or Victoria.

The room was a bit small for four

Comfortable property, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Second time we've stayed there.

I was very happy with this hotel stay - I had some reservations after reading some of the other reviews, so I checked in not expecting the best, but was definitely convinced otherwise. The laminate flooring was fantastic. The sheets were clean. The receptionist put us on the ground floor and the room was extremely quiet - hard to believe there were any other guests it was so quiet. Didn't notice any smoke smell - bonus where I'm concerned. Smitty's on site is a bonus too - staff very attentive there too. Finally, the continental breakfast - we've had one before at a 4 star hotel and were very disappointed, this is definitely not the case for this hotel. There was fresh juice, tea, coffee, toast, muffins, fruit, cereal, bagels - the best continental I've had. Thanks for a great stay - definitely recommend this hotel.

everything was good eating facilities were excellent staff friendly

Centrally located hotel, economical as well. Friendly , efficient staff on duty. Very nice continental breakfast in the lobby was a nice touch. On the down side was the fact that the hotel was obviously very old and could use a face lift. However it was certainly clean enough and a good bang for your buck.

the parking lot ot the hotel was very noisy lots of people drunk and helling which kept us awake two nights.

Stayed 4 nights and didn't have any problems at all. No luxury but a great hotel with great large rooms with great beds. My american gps had no maps for Canada so I had to get some maps printed from the internet. The printer by the two guestcomuters at the hotel didn't work so the guy at the frontdesk asked me to mail them to him so he could print them for me. Great service. Another guy at the frontdesk went to the onsite restaurant to toast some bread for some waiting guests one morning when there were many at the breakfastbuffet at one time. Always helpfull!!! Would stay there again!

We picked this hotel as an overnight spot. The location on the highway coming in from Victoria was great- it was easy to find. The room was comfortable and had a fridge, but not a microwave. It wasn't a "flash" accomodation but it was clean and functional. The breakfast in the morning consisted of a selection of breads, or cereals etc as well as coffee and juice. I really enjoyed the donuts. For the price and convenience factor, I would definitely stay here again.

We found the rooms small but was all we required for a 1 night stay. I really appreciated the internet on sight. The hotel was easy to find and also the food was good at the continental breakfast and the resteraunt. We would go again for an overnight stay.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Pretty standard hotel accommodation, nothing special, about what you would expect in this price range.

Clean, comfortable, with the staff being friendly. Decent continental breakfast in morning (cereal, bagels, etc) and fridge and microwave in room. Although by main highway was not disturbed by any noise from the road. Read a lot of Trip Advisor reviews while planning this trip and was pleased with this choice ! Good value for money for a nights stay and would use again.

The room was very small, 2 double beds took much of the space. If one had to go to the door, the other had to get out of the way. The building is old and could use a good fix up. The breakfast was reasonable and the room was surprisingly quiet considering the highway right outside. We were visiting family, so were not really looking at the proximity to sights. The staff was friendly and quite helpful.

Positiv: das im gleichen Gebäude untergebrachte Pub schließt rechtzeitig. Negativ: die Wände sind etws hellhörig und der Zimernachbar war offenbar schwerhörig, jedenfalls lief nebenan die ganze Nacht TV. Positiv: die Lobby war die ganze Nacht besetzt und der manager on duty hat sich auf meine Klage hin den Zimmernachbarn auch ernsthaft vorgenommen - danach war Ruhe. Negativ: das Hotel ist in der aktuellen TomTom Version nicht verzeichnet
