Most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in!

We really enjoyed our stay here! They gave us cards to eat a free breakfast the entire time we stayed! They also gave us $5 free to play the machines and I hit $120!!! This place wasn't too far from all the other attractions we went too. I highly recommend this place. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help answer questions. Beautiful surroundings - creek flowing behind hotel, beautiful patio, and mountains everywhere.

The staff greeted with friendliness and efficiency. The rooms suited our short 1 night stay within our tour. The breakfast voucher system was adequate but some may prefer a larger breakfast so would have to pay more.

DGR has an incredible customer-oriented staff and philosophy. The facility itself needs updating. We were there during the Rally, and we were surprised at how quiet the room was. We were happy about this! I would tell a friend that this resort is okay, but it does need some work on the structure and presentation.

Very satisfied with location, clean and well kept , trolley to Deadwood is very handy especially when spending an evening out at Saloon #10. Would stay there again, it is a bargain.

My 85 year old father came with us. At the time, I made reservations he was not on oxygen, but became ill and had to be on it, when we made the trip to Deadwood. We were unable to find any elevators to help him get to rm 251 with his oxygen tank. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, and all of the staff were very friendly!!!

Overall not bad. However, we had a late check in and was advised that we were in the last remaining non-smoking room. The room was supposedly the only non- smoking room in a smoking wing. After two days our clothes totally smelled bad from smoke. We are not certain if we would return because of this situation.

We enjoyed our stay.

Would stay there again no problem.Godd price on food and decent rooms and I won money in the casino need I say anymore?

I was impressed with the rooms and hotel service, but I would not recommend eating supper or gameing there if you are a card player

Hotel and service were wonderful, however we are young and looking for a more exciting atmosphere. Perfect for the older moe quiet crowd.

This hotel is very adequate. We had a pleasant room, and a lovely breakfast on the balcony overlooking the creek. . The breakfast was the highlight of our trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, we rode the trolley to downtown and learned a little more about the town and history of the area. We did not have to worry about parking in the small downtown area. Nice hotel for a day or two. le Gambling is available for those who want to try....

I give the hotel 4 of 5 stars and the casino 2 of 5. The Deadwood Gulch Resort was a bit less than expected, however after arriving it was on a par or even better than most of the other hotel/motels in the area. Having never been to Deadwood I had expected more elaborate establishments. I found this disappointing from my arrival. Though after checking in I found the room to be friendly, extremely clean and comfortable. Though not elaborate we spend 3 very comfortable nights with no complaints. Though a word to the wise, house keeping starts early around 8 so if you want to sleep in be sure to put out the " Do Not Disturb" There restaurant was excellent with a nice variety of selections. The free breakfast and player discounts on meals was a surprising plus. The Tram which runs about ever 30 min comes right to the door and will take you all around town to a good many of the sites and other resorts. As parking down town seemed to be at a premium the tram is a great way to get around and is cheap and easy to access. If I have any true regrets with the resort it was in the casino. While I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, I found few slot machines of the 25 cent or Dollar value, most seeming to be penny slots. Being more of a card player than slots I found the 1 repeat 1 card table ( black jack ) was closed far more than it was open. So if you're like me an want to play cards you will have to take the tram elsewhere. I do suggest to the resort to keep that 1 table open all the time so as not to lose players to the bigger casinos.

The location and overall accomodations were good. One of the nights they did not make up the room, which was disappointing. The restaurant was excellent and the free breakfast and meal discounts were an added benefit.

my husband and i had a wonderful time in deadwood sd., we loved the location of the motel and the trolley was great, you could get on and off when you wanted and no driving anywhere i would highly recammend the deadwood gulch to everyone.

The hotel stay entitled us to a free breakfast. When we got to the restaurant there was no host to greet us. By the time someone came it was 11:01 a.m. When we were seated the server very rudely told us breakfast ended at 11:00, No apology or alternate choice was offered so we left very dissatisfied, The coupon did not state a time.
