Holiday Inn Lancaster - לנקסטר

We had two single beds which wasn't a problem but my husband is 6 ft and the single duvet didn't go around, needless to say he didn't sleep very well. The staff were very good and freindly but there were two days when there were coach parties in, for breakfast, and they were rushed off of their feet which meant the other guests suffered. I would still stay there again though.

Great breakfast, good pool, gym and steam/sauna. Clean room with good size telly. Only peev was no free wifi even in public areas, which is really a given these days.

Convenient for river, canal and coastal walks. Nice room and gym facilities. Ridiculously expensive tea and coffee.. no free Wi fi and expensive to buy in hotel.

Stayed here as visiting family at Lancaster Uni. Perfect location, just off junc 34 M6. Reception and Leisure Club staff very helpful and friendly. Having a swimming pool was a bonus. Leisure Club immaculate. Didn't eat or drink at hotel. Had breakfast at the Premier Inn. All you can eat and drink for £8.95 Inc full breakfast or continental for £5.95. 5 minute drive from city centre but there's also bus stops outside into the centre. Definitely stay here again.

Excellent staff, really helpful.

We arrived to be told that there was some confusion over the booking in terms of the ages of the children. Without prompting, the remedy of an upgrade to an Executive Room was suggested and the hotel team bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. The only draw back is the pricing strategy for the braeffast and brunch meals in the bar, which are quite expensive - beware also the "service" that is added automatically to your food bill. Locally, the Merchants pub is a must for extremely good and reasonably priced food...and just up the hill from there is the Castle, which until very recently was a prison, and where you will now find a very informative and even "fun" historical tour.

Expensive wireless even in lobby, people running amock until 3:30 am. Despite advertising spa it was not open so all in all a complete utter failure.

Once upon a time, Holiday Inn would be considered a premium choice. However, this hotel offers only marginally better standards than a Travelodge, with prices to match. If you're travelling on the M6, the location is perfect though!

Arrived about mid-afternoon - hotel's just off the motorway so very handy, and a good stopping off point for where we were heading for the next day. Went for a nice swim in the pool, and then had a really tasty dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening.

would like to mention Dan who looked after us - the bed for our grandaughter had not been made up -he came to the room with pillows sheets -resturaunt needs to sort the billing out -we paid cash for the eve meal and the meal bill was put on our room bill again

Enjoyed our stay, room clean and amenities good. Staff very helpful and friendly. Easy access to M6 motorway, quiet area. Need to take taxi or bus into centre or drive.

Very good location for visits to Lake District and the Dales. Breakfast good at £9.50. Although I could not use the facilities (recent operation) they looked quite good. Good parking and easy access.

Very nice friendly staff very helpful with regard to directing us to locations in town :) breakfast was superb :) will stay again

Good base for exploring the area

It was great, we even used the swimming pool and jakuzi. I'll recommend holiday inn Lancaster to every one i know.

Large clean room,big car park, good access to motorway helpful staff. We did not use the restaurant seemed a bit pricey for what you got

Hotel fine , but go over the road to Premier inn for Breakfast if you want to check your emails ( free wifi - £5 an hour at Holiday Inn )

Staff very friendly

The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. There is a real shortage of decent hotels in and around Lancaster so we woudl heartily recommend it for visiors to this area.

A handy stopover. Room has good basic facilities, a good size, and reasonably comfortable. Bed too small. Food quite disappointong and... overpriced

nice hotel easy to find good condition but very expensive food breakfast etc went over the road was half the price no need to charge so much

I was very disappointed to see a Holiday Inn that was well below their usual standard. The hotel decor was very 'tired' and needs a lick of paint. The staff in the retaurant seemed more interested in chatter than service. Then to top it all reception attempted to charge me twice for the room! Not a hotel I will be returning to.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel - our room (a double with a sofa bed) had lots of space, and when we checked the films available we discovered that a film that we've been waiting to see at the cinema was available so we had a lovely cosy night watching that! The next morning we took advantage of the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna that were free to guests. We would definitely stay here again!

Although this is one of the nicest hotels around and the spa is lovely, it was let down by poor housekeeping services. i.e. we booked a room for 2 adults and one child but only had one bath towel in the room on arrival and only 2 cups in the room. 2 teabags and no hot choc sachets. Not what you expect from this grade of hotel. On mentioning this to front desk staff, towels were added but we still only had two cups. On the second day teabags were added and in the evening the concierge gave us some chocolate sachets but they should have been in the room. Small but important details for what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

An ideal stopover for a long journey from Portsmouth to Scotland. Room was clean and very comfortable. Used the swimming pool which helped use to use up some energy! Perfectly located just off junction 34 and very good value for money.. Only negative would be the expensive cost of the wi-fi. Didn't use the restaurant in the hotel but there is a Brewer's Fayre directly opposite with a soft play area - ideal for a 3 year old with plenty of energy to burn after the long journey. Would definately use again.

We booked last minute as we had to visit a friend urgently. The booking process was easy and we had a very warm welcome after a long journey from the South. The room was much bigger than I expected which was great as we were travelling with my newborn baby. Would recommend this hotel * * * * * * * * * * *

The hotel was typical Holiday Inn Provided and convenient place to stop and sleep Generally clean and accommodating, facilities were good. The only real let down was room service (45 mins for a salad and then no chicken was rediculous) Otherwise a good experience
