Good for the money

When we got there, the woman at the desk told me we did not have a reservation, even though I had an email with the correct date. After 20 minutes she found it in her paper file and then proceeded to make us wait while she removed us from the computer with a reservation placed a week later by her "hired help" as she called him. She ended up putting us into a handicapped accessible room. There was no food left for breakfast by 7 am as they have a construction crew staying there according to the man at the desk and " they probably ate everything".

The hotel was OK for the price. It is located in a nice area and is convenient to Franklin. If your primary concern is low cost and you're willing to accept some negatives, then this is the place for you. The room had some wear and tear. It was reasonably clean, but not sparkling. I really missed having a coffee pot in the room. (Had to walk down the hall to the breakfast area to get coffee and that wasn't available until 6am.) The breakfast was very basic continental fare - toast, cereal, coffee, juice. The shampoo provided is also very basic and not much of it at that. On the upside, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would suggest asking for a room that is NOT close to the ice machine - it got lots of usage and generated lots of noise early in the mornings during my visit.

This is the third time myself or family have stayed in this motel over the past few months. It's an older motel, however clean and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly. We would stay here again for a short stay through this area and would recommend others to as well.

The beds were as hard as a board. The breakfast was awful, and the tile in the bathroom had pieces of broken tile coming off. Would not stay there again

This a very quiet hotel & convenient to everywhere in Franklin. What we didn't like was the LACK of anything healthy for breakfast...no boiled eggs or fruit. It was a sad breakfast.

We enjoyed it very much. The staff was consistently pleasant and the rooms were quiet and very clean.

For a quick overnight and a good night's sleep, and a continental breakfast, this is a great value.

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We didnt arrive until late we were able to check in. Its close to many stores and places to eat. Enjoyed our stay and will definately go back.

I read some of the reviews and was a bit unsure but the location was the issue for me choosing this location. The room was nice, clean and there was very little external noise. I would stay again!

Nice place - employees were polite and friendly, and a handy location. Unfortunately, the floors squeaked loudly whenever we moved around the room: I am sure this was even more distressing to the people in the room below us. The WiFi would not connect until I called down and asked the clerk to reboot the server.

Not up to par

Didn't provide King bed as requested; hence, no easy chair in room (which I need for sleeping early morning due to a recent surgery). Maintenance was poor, chairs stained, wall lamps twisted, other wall lamps didn't work at night BUT came on in the early morning as if on a timer. Beds were horrible, unable to use 12" on either edge of bed due to poor foundation; hence, queens became functionally singles. Shower water pressure terrible, had to stand underneath to rinse. Shower curtain rod placed incorrectly therefore the curtain kept sticking to the body during the shower. Breakfast lacked any protein, a 3 year old's delight, but totally inadequate for adult nutrition. One of the worst experiences I have had, made my continuing education weekend a nightmare, NEVER AGAIN!!!

Unfortunately what we hoped to be a relaxing, sleep-in Sunday turned out to be a very early, sleepless morning. We very quietly checked in around midnight and were awakened at 5:15 a.m. by the neighbors’ wake-up call. No problem, except that was just the beginning. By 5:30 there were no less then 6 different room doors slamming up and down the hallway every 3-4 minutes. We called the front desk to politely complain, but the slamming continued. Looking out the peephole we could see it was several different doors. Unable to return to sleep by 6:20, we called the front desk a second time and said, "Please call room 120 and tell them the slamming has got to stop." Their phone never rang. We gave up at 6:45 and went to breakfast. We discovered we’d been placed in the midst of a hallway of a girl's soccer team and their families. They’d been entering and leaving their rooms repeatedly to eat breakfast and load their vehicles. We've traveled with groups ourselves, but the hotels made sure we were quiet during check-out and they would always isolate us. Here, management was either too timid to ask them to be quiet or just didn't care about our comfort. And the "continental breakfast?" Forget about it! Every one was complaining about what a rip-off it was. A toaster, frozen waffles, bread, English muffins, juice and some cereal. What a joke! With plenty of other hotels right next door, take our advice and try one of those. I will never stay here again!!

The plastic cover on hte mattress was a good idea but it did make me sweat more against it. Matresses shouold breathe.I've got the same problem with my spleep number bed and some padding helped. I was supprised how nice the room was and I'd stay there again.

Room billed as having microwave and refrgerator - had neither. Bring your own soap - the hotel stuff is poor. The Continental breakfast isn't worth eating, except for the coffee, which is OK, but no Splenda for those who don't use sugar.

The room was advertised as having a sleeper sofa, but the only employee on staff informed us none of their rooms have them. Finally we received a cot and to our surprise, it had blood stains on it. To top it off, our tv on got one channel, QVC. Thanks goodness we were only staying for one night. Never again!

Got the room cheap, and i got what i paid for. Just a place to spend the night. Felt safe, but the room was not in good shape. Evidence of the door being pried open, bedside lamps about to fall off the wall, wallpaper stapled up. Cereal, toast, and muffins for breakfast was better than nothing, which I've gotten at hotels that cost more than this one. Aside from a hard mattress and an extremely inconsiderate upstairs neighbor, not a bad stay.

Horrible!!!! Would sleep in my truck before staying there again!

The staff was wonderful - friendly & helpful. When we first checked in, the room was clean overall, but the phone was FILTHY & there was a visible layer of dust on the TV stand & on the remotes - very dirty. We reported this to the person on duty at the desk & the situation was rectified very well. The location is great. The breakfast is poor - VERY small plates & bowls, squeeze Parkay instead of something more appropriate to spread on toast. The cereal dispensers are cheap - too much cereal comes out too quickly - a lot of waste as a result. No skim milk, just whole milk. Room was a good size, nice sofa & table, good refrigerator, but bed was not comfortable - caused back aches. We got a good room rate for this hotel on hotel.com, but we are not sure we would pay the higher rates quoted on the hotel website.

We stayed two nights at this hotel. Two different rooms. The first room was on the second floor and had two double beds. The setup was awkward...bathroom as soon as you enter the room, hairdryer in the other room. The room could use some TLC, drawer front broken off, wallpaper peeling in a lot of places even stapled in some areas. The room despite these needed updates was VERY clean, one of the cleanest Ive been in during our two week trip which included a new hotel almost nightly. Would stay again.

We had a very late check in but the room did appear to be clean. The front desk lady was very nice. The area surrounding the hotel was ok too, but if your looking for sleep go somewhere else!! The beds were hard as a rock and the pillows were flat. I barely slept at all!

The room was clean, a very good price by booking the reservation online. No indoor pool and continental breakfast was just your basic menu. Many other restaurants in the area

Rooms were o k. but the contional breakfast needs much improvements.

NICE STAY...EVERYTHING WAS GOOD

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. It isn't a five star hotel so I don't expect five-star service or amenities.It is economical, clean, and the staff is friendly. Booking online is a breeze and the rate is very affordable. Location is great!

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times both for getaways and on three occassion while I took chemo treatments. The staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The price is always extremely reasonable.

This was the second time we stayed at this location for an overnight stay. It's an economy motel, but was clean, comfortable and quiet.

This is my second time staying here, the first room was pretty nice and clean for the value so I decided to stay again. The second stay was not so well. The room felt like I was staying in a hostile in a 3rd world country. I don't know if I will stay here again based on that stay. So I guess I would say that the comfort of your room is a hit or miss based on which room you get assigned. The staff was very nice and the location is great.

Well, it was an ok stay. We went to visit family over the holidays, and weren't in the room long. Room was tidy, service was good, no real extra amenities. There was a free continental breakfast consisting of sticky buns, toast, cereal (raisin bran/corn flakes), coffee, juice, milk, waffles (from freezer), and some fruit. Not really anything to write home about, but it will save you a few bucks. The bathtub didn't drain well but the hot water was plentiful; the beds really weren't comfortable, but you know it worked out ok for us. We really can't complain, we just wanted a place to stay while we were in town. TV was small, room isn't very big, and the two Queens we were promised turned out to be twins, but again, that didn't matter to us. The staff was very friendly and it was close to everything we needed.

Hotel is nice, clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint: Butter from a tube on the breakfast buffet. Really, that's disgusting and it's not expensive to change that.

The hotel is not fancy and as the rooms are not as fancy as many in the area, some may not get the impression of "clean". We had zero problems, everything WAS clean and the beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. Staff was attentive. Shower had no issues, hot water, great pressure. Hotels in this area can be quite expensive so if you're needing something affordable, safe and clean and are not as concerned with the fluffy stuff, you can't go wrong selecting this hotel. Great bang for the buck!

Wallpaper peeling off the walls everywbere, bed horrible, shower bad. I didn't dare touch the floor without slippers on

We booked this room just twenty minutes out. Very easy to find. We were only after a night's stay on the way to Gulf Shores. Older motel, but clean and friendly staff.

Needs a coffee pot in the room and a hair dryer.
