Hotel Elysee - ניו יורק

I'd probably walked by this hotel 100 times in the years I lived and worked nearby, but I had never know a single thing about it. Turns out it's a quiet throwback, a calm and restful sanctuary, literally just steps from some of the busiest sidewalks and streets of New York. I found my room comfortable, quiet, well appointed. Neither fancy nor homey, a nice in-between. A perfect base for getting out and about in Midtown, and retreating between meetings or shopping trips.

The Hotel Elysee is a very traditional type of hotel in that the hotel has that French flair and romantic touch that my wife loved. We had a JR Suite and the room was spacious. With a spacious room it feels a little like home since there is a sofa and two TV's. You can relax. The room was very clean and my wife got some valuable rest. There was no noise at all. Central Park was very close and like a lot of New York nothing was more than a $10 cab ride away.

most pleasant and comfortable

A superb location just off Madison and 5th Avenue right near the shops! We found the staff to be very friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Rooms are kept clean, the bathrooms are classical marble and the beds are so comfy with high quality linen and lots of different pillows. Breakfast is help yourself continental, with a good choice with staff on hand to toast bagels etc. Coffee, tea, iced water and biscuits are available all day. In the evening there is wine, cheese and nibbles,... all of these are complimentary! We stayed in a room at the back which didn't have a view, but was really quiet at night. I would highly recommend this hotel, and will make it my first choice if I go back to New York.

Great hotel, very unusual good stuff, helpful and friendly , hotel room was large ,but, to the back, noisy , and far below my expectations,Heard they have better and renewed rooms, my invitation was months before....I could have get one ,

Very pleasant and helpful staff; quiet room, great location, good value. Cramped bathroom, leaky windows, substandard elevator service, light door security (no peephole or lock that allows the door to be partially opened)

Stayed many times, best deal in Manhattan if you can get accomodations on a promotion.

I found this terrific hotel by doing a hotels.com search by location and price. I was skeptical that a $240 room in Midtown could be any good. This is my new best hotel for Midtown! Great people, decent rooms, well located, and included a real breakfast.The lounge was homey and well appointed. I would recommend this hotel for business and/or romance. Not a $500 a night room, but a great small hotel for value. I have paid much more for much less.

We totally enjoyed the experience. Staff was extraordinary in their service. Continental breakfast was great. Only complaint was there were no conveniently located electrical outlets in the room. Had to plug in phone to recharge in the bathroom.

This is a nice European style hotel well located in Midtown. The service was very good - helpful an pleasant concierege. The breakfast and cocktail hour area being included is a big plus!

One of the BEST hotel stays I have had in a long time. The staff are fabulously attentive and friendly without being too overwhelming. My room was quite spacious and very lovely. You can tell that a fairly long time ago the rooms were incredibly lush, and instead of being redecorated they have been allowed to fade a little with time. The result is EXTREMELY charming. I recommend it and I will return on my next stay in Manhattan.

My sister and I had a lovely visit at this charming hotel. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was amazing and the room was very comfortable. We both will return to this hotel in the future.

I was very impressed with this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The complimentary breakfast and evening cheese and wine were very good, also it was great to get water and hot drinks at any time. Having access to a pc and printer was a nice touch, it meant we could do online check in and print boarding passes for our flight home. Our room was a good size although the bathroom was rather small. We were on the 7th floor facing the street which was a little noisy at night especially when passing trucks sounded their horn. Overall I would definitely return to this hotel.

Very European style hotel. A better restaurant on-site would've been nice. There is a deli across the street for quick bites though.

Wonderful comfortable hotel. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.

I loved staying at this great hotel. My overall experience was terrific, and the staff was really nice. My only tiny suggestion is that they make it easier to plug chargers into outlets (which are all on the floor behind furniture).

I was pleasantly surprised by how wonder the hotel and staff was. I intend to stay at that Hotel when ever I am in New York. It feels like home!

Very good. We came to N Y for theater but the location was too far from the theater district. Otherwise a wonderful experience. Walter and Diane Coffey

first time to stay here. Everyone was friendly, the front desk, the doormen, the maids. Enjoyed the Monkey Bar-great service all around.

the only negatives were that the bathroom soaps were never replaced until we asked. It used to be that two fresh bars were supplied daily. Also, the toilet paper was clearly cheaper, not plush, but something I would not expect in a quality hotel.

This is our hotel of preference when we are in NYC. Small but modern and a delightful second floor breakfast/coffee room. Great location, helpful staff, comfortable rooms. A very very good value.

Very comfortable european boutique hotel atmosphere with lovely large salon and quiet library. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Coffee and tea and cookies always available. Bedrooms are small but comfortable. Easy walk to central park and theater district

Excellent hotel; great value for the location and quality. As a frequent business traveler I was quite surprised at how nice this hotel was. It would be great for business (quiet rooms), a romantic stay or a shopping visit to NYC. Service was fabulous! I will definitely stay here on my next visit to NYC.

My cab pulled up and I was greeted immediately by friendly staff. I received the royal treatment at check in too and was given a room upgrade without asking and told about their happy hour, breakfast, etc. A very nice suite at 1/3 the Four Seasons rate! Great value for a very comfortable room. Don't tell anyone. Keep the secret so they'll have rooms for me when I definitely go back!! Shhhhh.

Perfect location for all the best sightseeing. The Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough For us. Would definately stay again without hesitation. Not a big imposing modern hotel, but one of the Best for service and cleanliness.

A pleasure to stay at Hotel Elysee. It was a wonderful experience. My room was a great size and hotel staff were efficient and helpful. I will definitely stay there again and have recommended it to others. The breakfast and afternoon cocktails/happy hour was excellent too

We recently stayed at the Hotel Elysee for 5 nights. When booking we asked for a high level floor at the back of the Hotel so as to get away from the street noise that other reviewers had commented on. The Hotel is located in Midtown Manhattan between 3rd Ave and Madison Ave. It's close to Madison Ave shops, if you wish to shop there, expensive designer label shops. Upon check in we were given a side facing room at the front of the Hotel on the 6th floor. After one night of little sleep from all the street noise plus the noise from air con units on the roof of the next building which were just below us. It was a hot night, however noise from the room air con unit was that loud we had to switch it off. We tried to open the window and then the noise from next doors air con units was horrific. Next day we asked for a different room and we given a 10th floor room at the back of the building. Less street noise this time, however we could still hear all the sirens and in NY there are constant Police etc sirens. Same problem with in room air con unit and again although on a higher floor, we couldn't open the windows again due to the noise from the air con units on the roof of the next building. From a sleeping perspective, avoid this Hotel. The rate included a continential breakfast which was just OK and in room WiFi was free of charge. This is an old Hotel, don't be fooled by photos on web site which make it appear something else. Rooms are small and choose a room with a double bed and not a KIng bed as rooms are the same size, therefore even less room in a king bed room. Furniture in rooms is old. We had a flat screen TV which was good. We found staff pleasant and helpful which helped make our stay a bit better than it was. The hotel is not well located as it is approx 20 to 30 min walk to Times Sq. Times Sq is where all the action from a visitors point of view happens. Its also where the hop on hop off bus leaves from. The nearest tube station is approx 10 min

Very noisy rooms at the front, slow lift and very tired-looking breakfast lounge.

Great location and a good feeling to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful but the rooms are a bit tired and in need of renovation...

excellent friendly service from staff, fabulous complimentary breakfast and complimentary drinks alcoholic or otherwise from 5 until 7 in the evening, around 15 minute walk to main attractions with access to a subway nearby. value for money, thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We stayed at the elysee with our 16yr old daughter in a suite. The rooms were very good size and the club louge was a great place to get away from busy NY. There was always tea and coffee available and the buffet breakfast and early evening canapes and drinks were lovely.

If your'e fed up with samey boutique style hotels, try this corker of a hotel in mid town Manhattan,perfectly placed for Park and Fifth Avenue and a 10 minuite stroll to Time Square and Broadway. Pristine rooms with character, fabulous complimentary breakfast, and free wine and cheese in the early evening all served in the comfortable club room on the second floor. Cheerful staff who really do wish that you"have a nice day" Will deffinately return.

My wife and I stayed at the Elysee the night after our wedding, as a layover on our way to our honeymoon. At the time of our booking via Hotels.com I mentioned that we'd be staying during our honeymoon. When we arrived we were quietly told that we'd received a room upgrade - little did we know that this meant a plush suite complete with grand piano, kitchen, gorgeous living room and bedroom! The staff were extremely helpful in finding a place to order in dinner - we arrived late on Easter Sunday and nearly everything was closed - and gave us a complementary bottle of wine to help celebrate our marriage. Although this was a short stay, we'd definitely go back to enjoy more of the Elysee's amenities and hospitality.

Highly recommend the Hotel Elysee. It obviously tries hard to make its guests comfortable, from the quality of the rooms to the very good continental breakfast that is included in the price.

Excellent service, great location, loved the club room that they have for breakfast and any other point during the day where you want a drink/biscuit and somewhere relaxed and peaceful. Super-friendly staff. If you have a high floor be prepared to wait a couple of minutes for the elevator, but otherwise brilliant.

Perfect location, easy to get to, wonderful service and I would highly recommend this hotel.
