A greeat charming Hotel to stay in.

This is the most beautiful place to stay, old world charm and grace with all modern convenience . A Must for any traveller.

We loved the Sunset Tower and wil definitely stay there again in the future. A beautiful hotel with two beautiful bars / restaurants. We were given a high floor with a great view, but because of how the hotel is situated I'm not sure any floor would have a bad view. The staff was absolutely delightful!

Perfect in every way. Beautiful rooms, excellent food....healthy choices.

Two words: Ah-maze. Okay, it’s one word. Our recent stay at Sunset Tower was awesome. My best girlfriend was coming to town and although I live in LA, we never go out on Sunset Boulevard. So, we decided to “do-it-up” Hollywood style and get a room at Sunset Tower. From the second we valet parked, every person greeted us with a smile, gave great recommendations on where we should go, and treated us like Hollywood royalty. We started the night at the hotel bar where the bartenders were very friendly. We ventured off to our night on the town and hit all of the close hot-spots for cocktails. It’s near Chateau Marmont, a skip from The Roosevelt and down the street from the Piano Bar. We even ordered delicious room service way too late (24-hour room service is the best!!) After a long night out, we decided to order breakfast by the pool the next morning. Angel, our server, was attentive, kind and very funny. I recommend this place for Los Angeles residents as well as any tourist. Especially if you like places like Saddle Ranch, the Laugh Factory and Pink Taco which are all in walking distance. Worth every penny and would definitely visit again.

I loved the retro feel of the hotel, together with it's modernization. The restaurant and bar are superb.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The place was perfect for us,the only thing just wish the bed was firmer.also parking should be disclosed in the price when booking with Hotels.com

The hotel was as advertised discreet and dark but the service was far below what I expected. I stayed for 6 nights and not once did some one call me by my name or even offer more than a short greeting. I have stayed at the London hotel and the chateau and was always treated with more respect and enthusiasm. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel as they alternatives are highly superior.

Service was outstanding from every single person I interacted with. Beyond comfortable bed, beautiful and spacious bathroom. Convenient location.

Sunset Tower is a great place. Great staff; rooms are good (but a bit small). It's a one of a kind place in LA. I've stayed at all of the hotels in LA and this one I love as the best all around place. (Oh, and the truffle oil french fries are better than anywhere else.) Absolute recommend.

Hotel was great. A bit on the expensive side but worth it. The only issue was the noise from the Sunset Strip. The strip can get pretty loud (vehicles/ambulance) and if you are a light sleeper this place would not work, however if you sleep like a rock it won't be an issue.

Everything about the hotel was pleasant and high quality. We were treated very well upon arrival and departure. Room was clean and comfortable with a very nice bathroom. Had dinner across the street at Saddle Ranch...lots of fun. Would definitely stay again.

An historic monument with all the modern amenities, room kept immaculate, staff pleasant and helpful, great position, overall a very good experience.

An interesting hotel for an interesting neighborhood. The room was really small and the cooling / heating system was very weak. On our first night they were doing some lobby work and at 2am all of a sudden our room smelled like paint and we were on the 14th floor. Luckily the windows open all the way to get ride of the smell but then we got the Sunset Blvd noise.

Was great, we were upgraded to the 11th floor. Only downside was we were next to the elevators but honestly it wasn't really a factor. Will stay there again

Beautiful space, excellent service, comfy beds and georgeous bathroom. Lots of Hollywood history in a classic resortored art deco treasure. Would definately come back.

I enjoyed staying at the Sunset Tower, with all its history and the fact that the room is well laid out and spacious with the most comfy bed and pillows and great linen. The pool and breakfast area was a delight, with the sun shining and a fabulous view, its definitely a draw card, the meusli and fresh fruit and yoghurt was delicious too. The Hop on bus stopped just a little way up the road so was very handy for anyone who wants to take in the city sights, and just a 5 minute ride to Hollywood Blvd. A great shower with plenty of space and good pressure. The only thing I found was if I had children with me I might be concerned with the stairwell and the spacing of the railing but then I am probably just a worry wort. Friendly service, clean and tidy , highest recommendation and when I got back to New Zealand I bumped into someone else who had stayed there and they felt exactly the same.

When in Los Angeles, the only place to stay is "Sunset Tower Hotel" The services, staff, location, food and rooms are the best of old world charm and you're made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive.....its a wonderful experience that you will never forget and talk about fondly for years to come. Value for money. Thankyou to all the staff, you made our stay in LA the best!!! We will be back

Beautiful historic hotel situated on Sunset Blvd. You walk in and are treated beautifully. The rooms are reminiscent of old Hollywood and very historic. Breakfast on the terrace is a lovely experience. All in all one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

I was in search of a VIT (vacation in town) and that is just what the Sunset Tower Hotel provided me with. I was immediately welcomed with positive energy which in my opinion is key. Everyone, from the valet to the front desk staff to the room service attendants were extremely professional and oozed of class. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel and the showers were awesome. My refrigerator wouldn't stay cold, but maybe that is because I wasn't operating it properly. The food was delicious and the pool was great. Very quiet and peaceful with a spectacular view. The Spa was incredible. I HIGHLY recommend getting some sort of treatment, or at least using the facility. Although it is rather pricey, it was totally worth it. Between the impeccable service and the old Hollywood feel that the property encompasses, It is an absolute gem in the middle of a booming city. Once inside, you almost forget you are in the middle of the Sunset Strip until you look outside and see Saddle Ranch across the street. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and again, in fact, I don't think I would stay anywhere else.

From check in to check out, we had a wonderful time. Sunset Tower Hotel was in a great location. I felt very safe and close to everything. Cabs were always outside our front door and the customer service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful in regards to directions, shopping, places to eat, and more. Our room was also very nice. We had a great view of the city, the beds were so comfortable, and the linens were fabulous! I would love to stay there again if we come back!

I was surprised when the person checking me in asked me to initial 4 lines on my registration. When I told her that I didn't have my glasses and could she tell me what it said she told me that 1.) I could have no more than 4 people visiting my room. 2) no outside alcohol was allowed in the room 3) no smoking 4) I don't recall. I was taken aback. I hadn't planned on doing any of the above but since I was in an upscale hotel, I was surprised to see that they would have to have patrons sign this agreement. The reason why I chose the hotel was for the Tower Bar Restaurant. I thought it would be nice to eat there for the holiday. Unfortunately, upon entering my room there was a note on my desk saying that the restaurant would be closed for 2 days. The bed and pillows were much to soft but the room was very quiet so I slept well. On my departure, I requested change from the front desk. At no time did they inquire about my stay. They were busy discussing a VIP client who was going to stay in the penthouse suite. It was unfortunate.

the hotel was beautifully designed. the rooms have floor to ceiling windows with a great view. the amenities in the hotel, pool, spa, gym, 24hr room service- all make the hotel a good place to stay. you have to valet the car- and we went walking to find a restaurant to eat at- we walked for a bit but found a cute italian place not too far. close (2mi) to the hollywood walk of fame. there are a good amount of sites to see on sunset blvd around the hotel (chateau marmont). the hotel is full of history as well. only stayed one night.

EXCELLENT HOTEL! EXCELLENT RESTAURANT! FOOD WAS UNBELIEVABLE... It was our 10 year anniversary, and everything was as GREAT as it could GET!!! Thanks Sunset Tower!!!
